Ecrire un dito depuis la salle dembarquement dun aroport Quelle situation incongrue mais rvlatrice de ce qui se passe depuis quelques temps ! Kronometry 1999 vhicule depuis longtemps son image travers le monde. Ce magazine expdi maintenant 6800 clients travers 70 pays, notre communication mondiale et ce lien prcieux que nous gardons avec chacun dentre vous, ont permis de nous exporter . Nous parlons ici dimage. Mais depuis louverture de la boutique de Londres et son succs fulgurant, ce sont dautres perspectives de voyages qui souvrent nous. Londres fut donc la premire tape vers une internationalisation annonce depuis longtemps, presque naturelle, et qui va maintenant stendre dautres villes dans dautres pays. Merci Londres, cette ville o tout reste possible ! Merci ses habitants qui nous ont si chaleureusement accueilli, merci aux premiers clients et aux manufactures partenaires de ce projet de nous avoir permis de grandir si vite, dapprendre et de nous entraner pour aller, je lespre, encore un peu plus loin. Merci tous les collaborateurs Kronometry 1999, qui chacun sa manire, de Bordeaux Paris en passant par Lyon, Cannes ou Monaco, a accompagn cette aventure. Alors oui, il y aura dautres ditos crits depuis les salons accueillants daroports lointains. Cest la condition sine qua non pour que Kronometry 1999 puisse dcouvrir de nouveaux horizons. Avant cela, nous allons vous parler, travers ce numro, de la merveilleuse saga Opus Harry Winston : dix annes de dfis incroyables, de crativit mais aussi et surtout de complicit et de confiance entre ces Matres Horlogers visionnaires et la grande maison Harry Winston. Vous dcouvrirez aussi le renouveau de la ligne Vintage de Bell & Ross et le spectaculaire modle Compass : du grand Bell & Ross ! Enfin, vnement majeur de la fin danne 2010, nous vous dvoilons les gagnants du K-Challenge et la remise des trophes qui sest droule Paris le 22 octobre dernier. Formidable aventure, le K-Challenge a fdr toutes les forces possibles chez Kronometry 1999 et au sein des manufactures qui attendent dj avec impatience ldition 2011. Le dfi fut immense et nous lavons relev ! Enfin, je profite de ce numro pour vous souhaiter de merveilleuses ftes de fin danne vous et tous vos proches. Thank-you to the Londoners who gave us such a warm welcome, thank-you to our first customers and our watchmaking partners in this project for enabling us to grow so quickly, to learn and train ourselves to venture, I hope, even further. Thank-you to all those who work for Kronometry 1999 who, each in their own way, from Bordeaux to Paris via Lyon, Cannes and Monaco, have accompanied us on this adventure. So yes, there will be other editorials written from the cosy lounges of distant airports. This is a condition sine qua non allowing Kronometry 1999 to discover new horizons. Before that happens, we will have told you, in this issue, about the fabulous saga of the Harry Winston Opus : ten years of incredible challenges, creativity, but also and above all, complicity and trust between those visionary Master Watchmakers and the great House of Harry Winston. You will also discover the renewal of the Bell & Ross Vintage line and the spectacular Compass model : sheer mastery signed Bell & Ross ! Finally, a major event of this year-end 2010 : we present the winners of the K-Challenge and the trophy award ceremony held in Paris on October 22nd. A superb adventure, the K-Challenge united all of the forces within Kronometry 1999 and among watch manufacturers who are already looking forward to the 2011 edition. The challenge was immense, and we carried it off ! Finally, I would like to take advantage of this issue to wish you, your families and friends, wonderful year-end celebrations. For quite some time, Kronometry 1999 has unfurled its image worldwide. This magazine now dispatched to 6,800 clients in 70 countries, our global communication and this precious link that we maintain with each one of you have enabled us to export ourselves. Were talking here about image. Since the opening of the boutique in London and its immediate success, other travel prospects have opened up to us. London was thus the first step towards an internationalization

Grande nouveaut pour cette 4me saison conscutive o Kronometry 1999 prend ses quartiers dhiver Courchevel. En effet, la boutique dmnage au sein du magnique Htel Le Lana Courchevel 1850 et en prote pour sagrandir et rserver ainsi, ds le 18 dcembre 2010, le meilleur accueil aux passionns de Haute Horlogerie. Reprenant les codes du conceptstore Kronometry 1999, cet crin de 20 m2 situ dans le lobby de lhtel accueillera dans ses vitrines en bois de Macassar pas moins de dix marques horlogres telles que Hublot, Harry Winston, DeWitt, Roger Dubuis, Franck Muller, Cvstos, Bell & Ross, Bovet ou encore Romain Jerome, Ulysse Nardin et Urwerk.

Launch of the Courchevel boutique in the Htel Le Lana

Something new for this 4th consecutive season in which Kronometry 1999 takes up its winter quarters in Courchevel. The boutique is in fact moving into the magnicent Htel Le Lana in Courchevel 1850, taking advantage of the opportunity to expand and thus provide the best possible welcome for fans of top-notch watchmaking as of December 18th, 2010. Applying the codes of the Kronometry 1999 concept store, this boutique of 20 m2 in the hotel lobby will host in its showcases in precious macassar wood no less than a dozen brands including Hublot, Harry Winston, DeWitt, Roger Dubuis, Franck Muller, Cvstos, Bell & Ross, Bovet, Romain Jerome, Ulysse Nardin and Urwerk.

Et le gagnant est. Aprs des mois dexposition, de voyages et de transport, le K-Challenge de Kronometry 1999 a enn dsign ses gagnants. Rappelons le principe : 2 catgories, Design et Innovation , pour lesquelles chaque marque horlogre fait concourir un modle de son choix. Une exposition itinrante est organise dans chaque magasin Kronometry 1999. Les personnes ayant dcouvert lexposition dans une des boutiques peuvent ensuite voter sur le site internet www.kchallenge.fr prvu cet effet. A la clture du concours, une des personnes ayant vot pour la montre gagnante est tire au sort et remporte un garde-temps dune valeur de 8 000. Chaque manufacture gagnante remporte, quant elle, une campagne publicitaire dune valeur de 10 000. Nous tions donc tous ravis, clients, collaborateurs Kronometry 1999 et manufactures, de nous retrouver au Fouquets Paris pour la remise des prix. Les votants tirs au sort ont galement t invits par Kronometry 1999 assister la remise des prix et passer une nuit dans le mythique palace parisien. And the winner is After months of exhibitions, travelling, transport, the K-Challenge organised by Kronometry 1999 nally designated the winners. A reminder of the principle : Two categories, Design and Innovation, in which each brand proposed a model of its own choice. An itinerant exhibition called at each Kronometry 1999 store. People who discovered the exhibition in one of the boutiques could then cast their vote on the www.kchallenge.fr website intended for that purpose. At the end of the competition, one of the people who had voted for the winning watch was nally selected in a lucky draw and won a timepiece worth 8,000 . As for the watch brands, each winner won an advertising campaign worth 10,000 . We were therefore all delighted, clients, Kronometry 1999 employees and watchmakers, to meet up at Le Fouquets in Paris for the award ceremony. The voters who had won the lucky draw were also invited by Kronometry 1999 to attend the award ceremony and spend a night in the palatial Parisian hotel. The winning watch brands are : - Harry Winston in the Design category, with the Opus 9 model - Ulysse Nardin in the Innovation category with the Moonstruck model The winners of the lucky draw are : - Mr Romain Lemoine who voted for the model Opus 9, winner of a Jaquet Droz watch. - Mr Cyril Casagrande who voted for the model Moonstruck, winner of a Romain Jerome watch. A special prize was awarded to Bell & Ross which ranked second in both categories. An appointment has already been made for the 2011 edition of the K-Challenge which will this time be comprised of four different categories.

In the wake of its fruitful partnerships with Be hAPpy and the Americas Cup in 2000, Audemars Piguet is again demonstrating its involvement in the yachting world by associating itself with the fabulous adventure of the Hydroptre, the famous and fastest sailing vessel in the world ! As joint main sponsor, Audemars Piguet was delighted to participate in the October press presentation of the brand new compendium of technology which comprises the Hydroptre.ch on the banks of the legendary Lake Lman. Unlike its predecessor, a ying trimaran holding a double world speed record for sailboats, the Hydroptre.ch is a catamaran, built on the same hydrofoil principle. It was not without emotion that the crew, led by Alain Thbault, and Philippe Merck, CEO of Audemars Piguet, attended the launch of this new winged prototype which will undoubtedly soon take off as fast as its big brother and chalk up just as many records !

Aprs la King Power F1 TM dvoile en avril dernier, Hublot poursuit son partenariat avec la Formule 1 et rend hommage au Grand Prix le plus rapide du monde, le Grand Prix dItalie, en ralisant une srie limite 200 exemplaires lefgie de son mythique circuit de Monza. Inspire de lunivers de la course automobile, la King Power F1 TM Monza allie un design avant-gardiste, sportif et rac un savoir-faire de trs haute qualit dans lutilisation de matriaux High-tech. Ce chronographe squelette en cramique noire rvle une premire mondiale : une glace saphir teinte de rouge. After unveiling the King Power F1 TM last April, Hublot is pursuing its partnership with Formula 1 by paying tribute to the fastest Grand Prix circuit in the world, that of Italy, by bringing out a limited edition of 200 watches honoring the legendary Monza racetrack. Inspired by the world of motor racing, the King Power F1 TM Monza combines sleek and sporty avant-garde design with top-notch expertise in the use of hi-tech materials. This black ceramic skeleton chronograph is distinguished by a world rst : a red-tinted sapphire crystal. The color is actually embedded in the translucent material, thus endowing the King Power F1 TM Monza with unprecedented brightness. The indices, hands, stitching on the strap and Formula 1 Monza inscription on the black ceramic bezel all borrow the emblematic color of the Italian carracing world. Characterized by a blend of superb design, technical and creative virtuosity, the Midnight Collection has been enriched by a new model, the Midnight Chrono Tourbillon, a chronograph endowed with one of the oldest complications : the tourbillon. Positioned behind the famous porthole with a gold rim characteristic of the collection, the mechanism reveals all its sophistication through its tourbillon bridge made of sapphire. The chronograph counter, also emphasized by a rim of rose gold, indicates the minutes by means of a disc and the seconds with a watch hand, thus ensuring perfect readability. True to the Harry Winston style in both its design and esthetics, the Midnight Chrono Tourbillon displays the hours and minutes off-center while elegantly off-setting the rose gold of the 42-mm case with the anthracite grey of the dial and the blue hues of the hands. Avenue Classic
Harry Winston created the Avenue Collection in homage to the famous city of New York of which he was so fond. Over the years, this elegant line of ladies timepieces illustrating the citys spectacular soaring architecture and the mirror effect of its skyscrapers has produced variations on its rectangular silhouettes adorned with the famous arches that dominate the facade of the Harry Winston salon on 5th Avenue. On the occasion of year-end festivities, the watch manufacturer has come up with an even more feminine Avenue Classic. The white gold case is set with 50 brilliant-size diamonds, while the dial in black or white mother-of-pearl is sumptuously adorned with 124 oval diamonds.

The Opus Saga - A human adventure

2001 will undoubtedly be a year to be marked with a diamond for Harry Winston in its watchmaking adventure. It was, in fact, in 2001 that it embarked upon the Opus saga. The concept was to associate with each Opus a Master Watchmaking Creator to contribute to the superlative design of Harry Winston timepieces. One rule was applied in this association : to pursue the dream to its very end and push back boundaries as far as possible. From Opus One, the Opus Project was a cataclysm that was to change forever the destiny of the House of Harry Winston and that of the great watch designers who worked at its side. Kronometry 1999 is one of the rare retailers in the world to have followed this saga from its start and to have gained access to the rst Opus project. Sufce it to say that we are very proud to participate once again...

Opus One
Le premier qui aura lhonneur dinaugurer ce projet un peu fou et novateur sera Franois Paul Journe. Il sera dailleurs le seul proposer trois projets, donc trois garde-temps diffrents travers trois complications Le privilge des prcurseurs. Opus One sera donc dclin dans une version Automatique 5 jours de rserve de marche, Chronomtre Rsonnance et enn, Tourbillon. Les trois piliers du savoir-faire Franois Paul Journe de lpoque. The rst designer to have the honor of inaugurating this innovative and rather crazy project was Francois Paul Journe. He was also the only one to offer three projects, and therefore three different timepieces with three complications... The privilege of precursors ! Opus One was thus produced in a an Automatic 5-day Power Reserve version, a Resonance Chronometer and lastly, a Tourbillon. The three pillars of expertise deployed by Francois Paul Journe at the time.

Opus 2
Antoine Preziuso reprend le ambeau de la plus belle manire en crant pour Opus Two deux modles diffrents. Le premier sera un Tourbillon haute joaillerie serti de diamants baguettes. Le deuxime, un Tourbillon avec, sur le dos de la montre, un Quantime Perptuel. Mouvement double face donc avec deux complications de Haute Horlogerie. L encore, les limites sont repousses trs loin et place la barre trs haut pour Opus Three. Antoine Preziuso carried the torch in the best possible way by creating two different models for Opus Two. The rst was a Tourbillon Haute Joaillerie set with baguette diamonds. The second, a Tourbillon with a Perpetual Calendar on the back of the watch. In other words, a double-sided movement with two Haute Horlogerie complications. Again, the limits were pushed back ever further, setting the bar very high for Opus Three.

Opus 3
Pour Vianney Halter, rien nest impossible ! Il est donc le candidat parfait pour la saga Opus. Il dveloppe ainsi quelque chose qui ne sest encore jamais fait : un mouvement mcanique qui afche en digital lheure, les minutes, les secondes et la date. Ce qui surprend le plus dans Opus Three, en dehors de linnovation elle-mme, cest la taille du mouvement. Dans sa recherche de perfection, Vianney Halter na pas voulu sombrer dans la facilit de crer un gros module, plus facile dvelopper Du grand Opus ! For Vianney Halter, theres no such thing as impossible ! He was thus the perfect candidate for the Opus saga. He developed something that had never been done before: a mechanical movement with digital display of the time, the minutes, seconds and date. The most surprising thing about Opus Three, apart from the innovation itself, is the size of the movement. In his quest for perfection, Vianney Halter did not want to take the easy way out by creating a large module, so much easier to develop... A very impressive Opus !

Opus 4
Christophe Claret relve le d pour Opus 4 et cr peut-tre la plus spectaculaire des Opus. Par son mouvement dabord qui regroupe sur les deux faces, les fonctions Tourbillon - Rptition Minutes timbre Cathdrale dun ct et date phase de Lune extra large de lautre. Lheure et les minutes tant indiques de chaque ct. Magnique ! Mais ce qui marquera aussi Opus 4 sera le systme de botier rversible pour pouvoir proter des deux faces du mouvement. Un mcanisme ingnieux qui devra supporter un botier en platine de 44 mm de diamtre et de prs de 20 mm dpaisseur Une prouesse ! Christophe Claret accepted the challenge for Opus 4 and perhaps created the most spectacular of all the Opus models. Firstly due to its movement which combines the Tourbillon - Minute Repeater Cathedral Chime functions on one side, and the date - extra large Moonphases on the other. The hours and minutes are indicated on both sides. Magnicent ! But Opus 4 was also distinguished by its reversible case system, enabling the wearer to benet from both sides of the movement. An ingenious mechanism housed in a platinum case 44 mm in diameter and about 20 mm thick... A real achievement !

Opus 5
Ce cinquime opus sera vcu comme une conscration pour la saga et son partenaire du moment, Felix Baumgartner. L encore, les limites sont repousses et la lecture de lheure est rinvente travers un ballet de prismes et le va-et-vient de laiguille des minutes. Rien, auparavant, navait ressembl de prs ou de loin Opus 5, ce qui marquera un tournant dans la direction que prendront les prochains projets. The fth Opus was seen as consecration for the saga and its partner of the time, Felix Baumgartner. Once again, frontiers were pushed back even further and reading of the time was reinvented through a ballet of prisms and the coming-and-going of the minute hand. Nothing before had ever looked, either near or far, like the Opus 5, which was to mark a turningpoint in the direction taken by future projects.

Opus 6
Robert Greubel et Stephen Forsey, appliqueront le savoir-faire qui fait la renomme de leur jeune manufacture au projet Opus 6. Tourbillon dcentr, indication des heures et minutes par des disques superposs dans des guichets spars. Tout ici est pur et rang aux quatre coins du botier en or blanc 18k de la collection Ocan. Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey deployed all the expertise that made the reputation of their young Manufacture in the Opus 6 Project. An offcenter Tourbillon, indication of the hours and minutes by superimposed disks in separate apertures. Everything here proved to be clean and tidy in all four corners of the 18-carat white gold case of the Ocean collection.

Opus 7
Un ballet artistique et mcanique pour indiquer lheure. Telle fut la volont de Andreas Strehler pour cette Opus 7. A chaque pression sur la couronne, une indication. Premire pression : les heures, deuxime : les minutes, troisime : la rserve de marche. Surprenant ! L encore, la philosophie Opus repousse trs loin les limites de limagination dans linterprtation du temps An artistic and mechanical ballet to indicate the time : such was the approach adopted by Andreas Strehler for the Opus 7. With each push on the crown, a different indication. First push : the hours. Second push : the minutes. Third push : the power reserve. Surprising ! Yet again, the Opus philosophy pushed back the limits of imagination in the way one can tell the time...

Opus 8
Un but pour Frdric Garinaud travers Opus 8 : retourner dans lre la plus lectronique et digitale travers un mouvement mcanique, lre Pop Art des annes 70 ! Deux opposs en quelque sorte, quil faudra runir dans un botier en or blanc 18k de 45,8 x 33,5 mm. Pari russi ! Un curseur linaire indique droite les minutes, quant aux heures, elles safchent de faon digitale grce aux modules qui apparaissent sur simple pression du poussoir droite. Le style des 70 se retrouve aussi travers le botier. A single aim for Frdric Garinaud and Opus 8 : to return in the most electronic and digital era, through a mechanical movement, to the Pop Art era of the 1970s ! Two opposites in a way, which would be combined in an 18-carat white gold case 45.8 x 33.5 mm. Mission accomplished ! A linear cursor on the right displays the minutes, while the hours are indicated digitally thanks to modules which appear with the simple touch of a pushbutton on the right. The 70s style is also reected in the case.

Eric Giroud (dj cit dans ce numro) et Jean Marc Wiederrecht sassocient pour Opus 9. Le concept : indiquer les heures et minutes travers deux chanes entranes par un mouvement mcanique. Lart horloger pouss lextrme (Jean Marc Wiederrecht) rencontre ici un grand monsieur du design horloger (Eric Giroud) et sublime le projet Opus dune pice majeur. Eric Giroud (mentioned elsewhere in this issue) and Jean Marc Wiederrecht teamed up to work on Opus 9. The concept : to indicate the hours and minutes by means of two chains driven by a mechanical movement. The art of watchmaking pushed to its extreme (Jean Marc Wiederrecht) here met up with a great practitioner of watch design (Eric Giroud), endowing the Opus project with a major accomplishment.

Opus 10
Inspir du mouvement des plantes entre elles, Jean Franois Mojon, travers Opus 10, inaugure un nouveau concept de mouvement. En effet, le mouvement tourne sur lui-mme et entrane, dans le sens oppos, la rotation des modules des heures, des minutes et des secondes monts sur une plate-forme qui fera sa rvolution complte sur 24 heures Une autre galaxie ! Inspired by the movement of the planets between themselves, Jean Francois Mojon inaugurated a new concept of the movement in Opus 10. In fact, the movement turns on itself and leads, in the opposite direction, the rotation of the modules of the hours, minutes and seconds, mounted on a platform which completes its own rotation in 24 hours... Produced to celebrate the 75th birthday of Rolf Schnyder, President of Ulysse Nardin, this limited edition of 75 pieces was named after its power reserve indicator aunting a devilish look with yellow horns on a black background (initially red on the classic Freak Diavolo). It has a tourbillon carousel of ultra-modern and original design (since it has no real dial, crown or hands) which performs a complete rotation around its center in one hour and indicates the minutes. The ying tourbillon cage, equipped with an arrow to indicate the seconds on a transparent semi-circular dial, makes one revolution in one minute, the zero always remaining on the axis of the minutes indicator. The Freak Diavolo owes its remarkable accuracy to the design of its balance wheel and the direct link between the three hands which prevents any phase shift between the hours, minutes and seconds when setting the time with the upper bezel. Collection Moon Invader

Quatre dcennies aprs Apollo 11, la manufacture Romain Jerome rend hommage la lune et met en scne cet astre de lgende dans une collection poustouante, la collection Moon Invader. Vritable combinaison desthtique, de technologie et de mythologie, la collection Moon Invader se caractrise par un botier de 46 mm de diamtre, dune rondeur plus angle, ml dacier et dlments provenant dApollo 11. Autre particularit surprenante de cette collection : les rotules fonctionnelles aux quatre coins de la quadrature du cercle impos par le botier. Tailles comme les pieds tout-terrain du LEM et montes sur des axes ancrs dans le botier, les rotules supportent les barrettes du bracelet en caoutchouc, permettant ainsi la montre de sadapter toutes les tailles de poignet. Le cadran, qui conserve le X symbolique devenu traditionnel chez Romain Jerome, soffre quant lui un maillage directement inspir de la rsille mtallique constituant les roues des vhicules lunaires, tandis que le rehaut, les compteurs et les aiguilles sont ajours et recouverts de superluminova. Four decades after Apollo 11, Romain Jerome renders homage to the moon by stage-setting this legendary astral body in the breathtaking Moon Invader Collection. A magnicent distillation of esthetics, technology and mythology, the Moon Invader Collection is characterized by a case 46 mm in diameter in a more angular interpretation of its roundness, made of steel and tiny particles from Apollo 11. Another surprising feature of this collection : functional ball-and-socket joints on the four corners of the squared circle formed by the case. Designed like the all-terrain legs of the LEM (landing module) and mounted on axles anchored in the case, these joints hold the lugs of the rubber strap, thus enabling the watch to t all wrist sizes. Retaining the symbolic X which has become a traditional feature with Romain Jerome, the dial is decorated with a mesh pattern directly inspired by woven metal strips on the tyres of the lunar vehicle, while the ange, counters and hands are openworked and coated in superluminova. Fitted with a self-winding mechanical movement, the Moon Invader collection consists of three different lines : Black Metal, Eminence Grise and Heavy Metal. Each line is available in an Automatic version with central hours and minutes, the small seconds at 9 oclock, and a Chronograph version with the 30-minute counter at 3 oclock and 12-hour counter at 6 oclock. Each version is limited to 1,969 pieces. A combination of watchmaking tradition and spearhead innovation, the new Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph incorporates a sophisticated material into its construction : silicon, known to be stronger and lighter than steel, and resistant to corrosion. In the interest of longterm reliability and precision, Mont Blanc has thus chosen to make the escapement of its handwound mechanical movement with a pallet and pallet wheel in silicon, housed in an 18-carat red gold case 43 mm in diameter. This limited edition of 25 pieces displays the hours and minutes off-center, indicating the date by means of a rotating disk and a xed hand. Sans concession
MCT est une manufacture horlogre indpendante qui ralise seulement 50 garde-temps exclusifs par an et conoit et ralise ces mouvements 100 %. Pas de base externe donc, tout est parti dune feuille blanche et de limagination de son fondateur, Denis Giguet. Avec Jrme Marcu, matre horloger, ils ont cr ce mouvement complexe, compos de 471 pices et tmoin dun travail et dun aboutissement sans concession. Une palette dancrage sophistique empche de trop remonter la montre, et le systme spcial qui accumule et emmagasine lnergie ncessaire la rotation instantane du disque des Minutes est en cours dtre brevet. Le mouvement fournit une source dnergie constante et il faut une heure dnergie accumule pour faire oprer une seule rotation de 90 au disque des minutes. La Sequential One dispose dun double balancier spiral enchanteur qui gre le rythme et lquilibre du mouvement. Cet chappement novateur possde deux spiraux, fabriqus par paire dans des conditions optimales. Ce systme tonnant rglemente lchappement et supprime totalement les erreurs dues la gravitation. Mais Denis Giguet a voulu, travers le botier, mettre en exergue ce travail de haut vol. Il demanda donc Eric Giroud, un des plus talentueux designer horloger dhabiller le mouvement de Sequential One. Le rsultat de cette association est limage du mouvement, du jamais vu La lecture de lheure est parfaite. Malgr sa complexit, aucune pice du mouvement ne vient en cacher une autre. Quand au botier, il dessine un contour fort et rac, alliant caractre mais surtout lgret an de laisser au mouvement Sequantial One lespace ncessaire pour nous laisser admirer son ballet mcanique . Eric Giroud nous a encore subjugu. Pour indication, le botier est compos de 41 pices Laventure MCT est donc une affaire dhommes, de main habiles qui ralisent ce qui navait encore jamais t fait, de passion, de mentalit et desprits horlogers surtout, qui iront toujours au bout, ralisant le meilleur sans concession.

No concessions
MCT is an independent watchmaking rm that produces only 50 exclusive timepieces per year, designing and manufacturing its movements from A to Z. No external base, therefore : everything starts with a blank sheet of paper and the imagination of its founder, Denis Giguet. Together with master-watchmaker Jrme Marcu, he has created this complex movement composed of 471 parts, testifying to a task and an achievement that have made no concessions. A sophisticated anchor clutch prevents over-winding and the special system that accumulates and stores power for the instantaneous rotation of the Minutes disk is subject to a patent. Energy is constantly being drawn from the Movement and it takes one hour of accumulated energy to power a single 90 rotation of the Minutes disk. Sequential One features an enchanting double hairspring balance which controls the rhythm and equilibrium of the Movement. This innovative escapement has two balance springs manufactured as a matched pair under optimal conditions. This amazing system regulates the escapement and totally eliminates gravitational error. Furthermore, Denis Giguet wanted to highlight this high-ying work in the watchcase. He therefore asked Eric Giroud, one of todays most talented watch designers to encase the movement of Sequential One. The result of this association is like the movement itself : unprecedented One can read the time perfectly easily. In spite of all the complexity, no one part of the movement hides any other. As for the case, it offers a strong, sleek contour, adding character but also lightness so as to give the Sequential Ones movement all the space necessary for us to admire its mechanical ballet. Eric Giroud has captivated us once again. By way of indication, the case is comprised of 41 parts The MCT adventure is thus all about men, skilful hands which achieve what has never been done before, passion, a certain mentality and, above all, the minds of watchmakers who will always pursue a challenge to the very end, attaining the best without making any concessions.

La manufacture Custos cr deux pices uniques et propose deux versions exclusives de son Tourbillon Rptition Minutes. La premire, la Green Shadow, shabille de vert non sur le dclencheur de la Rptition Minutes positionn 9h, les index et aiguilles et sur lindicateur des secondes plac 6h, habituellement rouge. La seconde, la Blue Shadow, se pare quant elle de bleu cyan sur les mmes lments. Ces deux couleurs vivent assurent un contraste parfait sur le cadran de ce botier en titane trait DLC. Elles renforcent le design sportif et avant-gardiste de ce garde-temps dot de deux complications horlogres extrmement difciles runir dans une mme pice : la Rptition Minutes et le Tourbillon. Minute Repeater Tourbillon K1999

Custos has created two unique models and proposes two exclusive versions of its Minute Repeater Tourbillon. The rst, the Green Shadow, is dressed in neon green on the Minute Repeater trigger positioned at 9 oclock, the indices and hands, and the seconds indicator at 6 oclock, usually in red. The second, the Blue Shadow, comes in cyan blue for the same components. These two bright colours provide striking contrast on the face of the DLC-treated titanium case. They emphasize the sporty, avant-garde design of this timepiece with two complications, extremely hard to integrate within one watch : the Minute Repeater and Tourbillon. The name of each of the two models is inscribed on the back of the case in its respective colour.

Cette srie limite 500 exemplaires frappe, ds le premier coup dil, par un afchage innovant et indit puisque lheure safche au niveau dun repre xe sous lequel dlent les chiffres. After the BR01 Radar, Bell & Ross continues to explore vintage aviation instruments, this time focusing on the compass from which it borrows its single-hand display mode, accurate and instantaneous, and adapts it to a watch : the BR01 Compass. From the very rst glance, this limited edition of 500 pieces is striking for its innovative and unprecedented display : the time is indicated at a xed reference point beneath which the numerals rotate. The black dial is actually comprised of two independent concentric disks, the outer disk indicating the hours, the inner disk the minutes. The vertical white hand thus shows the hours in big gures and the minutes in small gures. Surprisingly simple and fun, one reads the time from top to bottom. La collection Vintage a t cre par Bell & Ross pour rendre hommage aux aviateurs des annes 1940 qui furent les premiers professionnels considrer la montre de poignet comme un outil au service de leur mission. Chaque ligne de la collection Vintage se caractrise par un botier rond de forme classique de 41 mm de diamtre, un verre de forme ultra-bombe ralis en saphir pour sa haute rsistance et un cadran au graphisme pur, optimisant ainsi la lisibilit. La Collection Vintage propose deux versions diffrentes pour chacune de ses lignes : une version automatique avec les heures, les minutes, la seconde indpendante et la date places 6h (BR 123) et une version chronographe deux compteurs (celui des 60 secondes 3h et celui des 30 minutes 9h) et la date entre 4 et 5h (BR 126). The Vintage collection was created by Bell & Ross as a tribute to aviators of the 1940s who were the rst professionals to consider the wristwatch as a tool to assist them in their assignments. Each line in the Vintage Collection is characterized by a round case of classical form, 41 mm in diameter, a high-domed glass made of sapphire for its high resistance, and a dial of uncluttered design for ultra-clear readability. The Vintage Collection proposes two different versions for each of its lines : an automatic version with the hours, minutes, independent seconds and date positioned at 6 oclock (BR 123), and a chronograph version with two counters (one for 60 seconds at 3 oclock, the other for 30 minutes at 9 oclock), and the date between 4 and 5 oclock (BR 126). The Original Vintage line adopts a brushed steel case for a more modern allure, available with two dials in different colors : black dial with white hands and indices, or beige dial with black numerals and indices. The Vintage Ofcer line has, in turn, a polished steel case giving it a rened and elegant style.
