PRIM et le MAI (Montral, arts interculturels) s'unissent pour offrir une aide un artiste qui dsire
utiliser le son et ou l'image en mouvement pour la production d'un projet multidisciplinaire. PRIM met
la disposition de l'artiste ses quipements pour la ralisation d'une uvre mdiatique qui sera ensuite
prsente dans les locaux du MAI.
Le MAI sengage ainsi organiser une soire de projection ou prsenter luvre dans le cadre de son
Projet Vitrine (uvre vidographique projete sur les fentres du MAI invitant les promeneurs de la
rue Jeanne Mance un temps darrt en reconsidrant ses habitudes de perceptions dans un espace
public). L'artiste recevra un droit d'exposition et des droits de reproduction selon les barmes (RAAV,
CARFAC) en vigueur.
Dans le cadre de cette rsidence, PRIM et le MAI offrent les services suivants :

Lutilisation de ses studios audio, vido et de ses quipements de tournage jusqu

concurrence de 4000 $ (selon les taux horaire dutilisation en vigueur - PRIM peut se rserver
le droit de limiter le nombre dheures dans certains secteurs) ;
Une formation en audio et/ou vido dune valeur maximale de 1000 $ (non monnayable ou
transfrable) ;
Diffusion / prsentation au cours de la saison 2015-2016 du MAI (Montral, arts interculturels),
ou selon une date dtermine conjointement ;

L'artiste retenu disposera dun maximum de 8 semaines pour la ralisation de son uvre dans lanne
dattribution de la rsidence ;

Lartiste s'engage respecter le budget allou et assumer les cots additionnels s'il y a
dpassement de ce dernier ;
Les frais inhrents aux supports magntiques ou numriques seront facturs lartiste ;
Lartiste s'engage travailler avec des techniciens qualifis et approuvs par lorganisme pour
l'usage de l'quipement et des machines offertes PRIM. Il est entendu que le budget de
production n'assume pas les honoraires de ces derniers. Le support technique et les
formateurs seront fournis par PRIM ;
Lartiste s'engage devenir membre de PRIM et se conformer la politique d'accs aux
lieux et aux quipements de PRIM.

Le projet doit se raliser dans l'anne qui suit la date de signature du contrat.
Les soumissions doivent inclure :
Un formulaire de demande dment rempli
Un curriculum vitae
Un texte sur la dmarche artistique (250 mots max)

Une description dtaille du projet soumis, incluant spcifications

techniques (400 mots max)
Une documentation soumise en appui comprenant les uvres antrieures ralises (maximum
10 images numriques et/ou 3 extraits vido/audio)

PRIM / MAI (Montral, arts interculturels) Joint Residency

PRIM and Montral, arts interculturels (MAI) have joined forces to assist artists wishing to produce a
multidisciplinary work incorporating sound and/or the moving image. Under the agreement PRIM will
provide the selected artist(s) access to its equipment to create the work, which will later be presented
within the context of the MAIs subsequent programming season (2015/2016) as a screening or in a
form otherwise agreed upon. The artists will enjoy full logistical and promotional support from the MAI
in addition to PRIMs technical expertise. Exhibition and reproduction rights will be in keeping with
current standards (RAAV, CARFAC).
PRIM will make the following services available:

The equivalent of $4,000 in sound and/or video studio time and/or camera equipment use
(based on the hourly rates in effect and subject to availability)
The equivalent of $1,000 worth of training in sound and/or video (non-transferable, no cash
value)
The MAI is committed to organizing a screening or to present the newly finished work through
its Projet Vitrine (showcasing videographic artwork, projected onto the front windows of the
MAI facing Jeanne Mance) as part of its 2015/2016 season.

The selected artist will have a maximum of 8 weeks to complete the proposed work within the year of
allocation of the grant.
The artist must assume any fees in excess of those allotted in the context of the residency.
Any fees incurred as a result of digital or analog support material provided by PRIM to the artist
will be billed to the artist.
The artist agrees to work alongside qualified technicians, approved by the organisation, for
usage of any equipment and machines offered by PRIM. It is understood that the production
budget does not cover any fees for technicians. Technical support and instructors will be
provided by PRIM.
The selected artist(s) must become a member of PRIM and adhere to their policy concerning
access to the premises and equipment of PRIM.

Professional CV

Artistic statement (max 250 words)

Detailed description of the project including technical requirements (max 400 words)
Support material of current or past works (max 10 images and/or 3 sound/video clips)
