Développement et factorisation
I) Vocabulaire
« Développer » signifie qu’on transforme un produit en une somme.
« Factoriser » signifie qu’on transforme une somme en un produit.
1. Formule (rappel)
k, c et d étant trois nombres : k(c + d) = kc + kd
2. Exemple de développement
Exercice :
Développer et réduire A = – 5(2x – 3)
Solution :
A = – 5(2x – 3) = – 5 × 2x + 5 × 3 = – 10x + 15
Niveau 1 : Ex 1
Niveau 2 : Ex 2
3. Exemples de factorisations
Exercice :
Factoriser
B = 7x – 3xyz
C = (2x + 3)(x² + 1) + (2x + 3) × 6
D = (x – 5)(2x – 4) + (x – 5)
E = (2x – 5)(x – 1) – (2x – 5)(2x – 3)
Solution :
B = 7x – 3xyz = x(7 – 3yz)
C = (2x + 3)(x² + 1) + (2x + 3) × 6 = (2x + 3)[(x² + 1) + 6]
= (2x + 3)(x² + 7)
D = (x – 5)(2x – 4) + (x – 5)×1 = (x – 5)[(2x – 4) + 1]
= (x – 5)(2x – 4 + 1) = (x – 5)(2x – 3)
E = (2x – 5)(x – 1) – (2x – 5)(2x – 3) = (2x – 5)[(x – 1) – (2x – 3)]
= (2x – 5)(x – 1 – 2x + 3) = (2x – 5)(– x + 2)
Niveau 2 : Ex 3
1. Formule
a, b, c et d étant quatre nombres : (a + b)(c + d) = ac + ad + bc + bd
2. Exemple de développement
Exercice :
Développer et réduire A = (5x – 3)(x – 2)
Solution :
A = (5x – 3)(x – 2) = 5x × x – 5x × 2 – 3 × x + 3 × 2 = 5x² – 10x – 3x + 6
= 5x² – 13x + 6
Niveau 1 : Ex 4
Niveau 2 : Ex 5
1. Formule
(a + b)² = (a + b)(a + b) = aa + ab + ba + bb = a² + 2ab + b²
Remarque : « 2ab » est appelé « le double-produit ».
Exercice :
Développer et réduire A = (4x + 6)²
Solution :
A = (4x + 6)² = (4x)² + 2 × 4x × 6 + 6² = 16x² + 48x + 36
Niveau 2 : Ex 6
Niveau 2 : Ex 7
1. Formule
(a – b)² = (a – b)(a – b) = aa – ab – ba + bb = a² – 2ab + b²
Remarque : « 2ab » est là aussi appelé « le double-produit ».
Exercice :
Développer et réduire A = (3x – 7)²
Solution :
A = (3x – 7)² = (3x)² – 2 × 3x × 7 + 7² = 9x² – 42x + 49
Niveau 2 : Ex 8
(a – b)(a + b) = aa + ab – ba – bb = a² – b²
Exercice :
Développer et réduire A = (12x – 5)(12x + 5)
Solution :
A = (12x – 5)(12x + 5) = (12x)² – 5² = 144x² – 25
Niveau 2 : Ex 10
certains cas.
Exercice :
Factoriser B = 49 – 36x²
Solution :
B = 49 – 36x² = 7² – (6x)² = (7 – 6x)(7 + 6x)
