Coming from the Luthern tradition of the Protestant reformation, chorales have proved a resource beyond
their original spiritual dimension. For instrumentalists, they are invaluable in many ways. With the concert
band they have been a staple of the "warm up", before the start of the rehearsal, and similarly, as a way of
"warming up" the band before an adjudicated performance.

In the same vein, the chorales presented here for clarinet choir, are designed not only for performance, but
also to develop intonation, cohesiveness, and ensemble playing. These arrangements are flexible in that the
number of players on a given part can vary as the need arises. Suffice to say, they can be a great tool not
only for musical use, but for building a strong clarinet section within your band or orchestra.

This arrangement is part of a set that is interchangeable. This means any wind instruments can be combined
to form a mixed quartet.
