ADVERTENCIAS GENERALES
Las gafas y las pantallas faciales marcan su cualidad óptica según el siguiente criterio:
Los oculares sin efecto corrector se dividen en CLASE 1, CLASE 2 y CLASE 3 según su calidad óptica, correspondien-
do los de la CLASE 1 a los de mayor calidad y así sucesivamente.
Para la elección del tono del filtro de soldadura ha de tenerse en cuenta tanto el tipo de soldadura como la intensidad
de corriente.
Las gafas con oculares amarillos solo deben utilizarse en interiores o en lugares poco iluminados dado que su efecto
potenciador de la luz sería molesto para el usuario.
Las pantallas optoelectrónicas deben utilizarse siempre con los cubrefiltros de policarbonato existentes en el interior y
exterior de las mismas.
GENERAL NOTES
Goggles and facemasks establish their optical quality according to the following criterion:
Eyepieces without correction are divided into CLASS 1, CLASS 2 and CLASS 3 according to their optical quality, CLASS
1 being the highest quality, and so on.
The type of welding as well as the intensity of current must be taken into account when choosing the welding filter tone
Yellow tinted goggles must only be used indoors or in dimly lit locations, as their light strengthening effect would be
uncomfortable for the user.
Opto-electronic welding shields must always be used with the polycarbonate filter covers on the inside and outside of the
screen.

GENERALIDADES
Las medias máscaras filtrantes de protección contra partículas se clasifican según su eficacia filtrante
Media máscara FFP1: baja eficacia, reteniendo el 80 %

Media máscara FFP2: eficacia media, reteniendo el 94 %
Media máscara FFP3: alta eficacia, reteniendo el 99 %
TLV (Valores límite umbral) representa la concentración de una sustancia en suspensión en el aire por debajo de la cual, se cree que casi
todos los trabajadores pueden exponerse repetitivamente día tras día sin sufrir efectos adversos para la salud.
Los filtros contra gases se clasifican: en tipos y clases según su aplicación y capacidad de protección.
Los tipos de filtros son: A, B, E, K. Cada tipo de filtro está indicado para un contaminante determinado (véase la tabla pag.27).
Las clases de filtros contra los gases se clasifican, según su capacidad, en:
Clase 1: Filtros de baja capacidad

Clase 2: Filtros de media capacidad
Clase 3: Filtros de alta capacidad
GENERAL ASPECTS
Filter half masks for protection from particles are classified according to their filtering efficiency
FFP1 half mask: low efficiency, retaining 80 %

FFP2 half mask: medium efficiency, retaining 94 %

TLV (Threshold limit values) are the concentration of a substance in suspension in the air below which it is thought that almost all workers can
be exposed every day without harmful effects for the health.
Gas filters are classified by types and classes according to their application and protective capacity.
The types of filters are: A, B, E, and K. Each filter is designed for a certain product (See table on page 27).
Gas filters are classified according to their capacity as:
Class 1: Low capacity filters

Class 2: Medium capacity filters
Class 3: High capacity filters
ADVERTENCIA:
Todo tipo de máscara con filtro no debe utilizarse en lugares donde la concentración de oxígeno sea inferior al 19 % en volumen.
Antes de seleccionar el equipo de protección respiratoria, es necesario identificar los contaminantes frente a los cuales hay que protegerse.
Los contaminantes pueden encontrarse en forma de gases, vapores y partículas. Las partículas se pueden encontrar en forma de polvos,
nieblas o humos.
La caducidad, antes de su utilización, es de 5 años en los filtros químicos, mecánicos o mascarillas filtrantes siempre y cuando el conjunto
se almacene en su embalaje original precintado, en un lugar limpio y seco, alejado de la humedad, lejos de la luz solar directa y de los
contaminantes y bajo las siguientes condiciones: Temperatura entre 5O C y 40O C y la humedad relativa de 20 a 80%.

RECOMENDACIONES
Para asegurar que la protección sea efectiva, los protectores auditivos deben utilizarse todo el tiempo que el usuario se encuentre en
un ambiente de ruido potencialmente peligroso.
En los puestos de trabajo en los que el nivel diario supere 80 dB (A), es obligatorio el uso de protectores auditivos por todos los tra-
bajadores expuestos.
No utilizar protección adecuada puede ocasionar daños irreversibles al oído.
Hay que tener especial cuidado con la sobreprotección, donde una atenuación excesiva provoque sensación de aislamiento y dificul-
tades en la percepción de los sonidos.
EVALUACIÓN DE LA ATENUACIÓN ACÚSTICA
El método HML especifica tres valores de atenuación en dB, la letra H representa la atenuación en alta frecuencia, la letra M repre-
senta la atenuación en media frecuencia, la letra L representa la atenuación en baja frecuencia.
El método SNR especifica un solo valor de atenuación; este método indica la atenuación media del protector en todas las bandas de
frecuencia entre 63 Hz y 8000 Hz.
USE
In order to ensure effective protection, the hearing protectors must be worn at all times when the user is in an area with a potentially
dangerous noise level. It is obligatory for all workers who are involved in jobs where the daily equivalent noise level is above 80 dB(A)
to wear hearing protectors.
Not using adequate protection may result in irreversible ear damage.
Special attention must be paid to over protection, where excessive attenuation may produce a feeling of isolation and provoke difficul-
ties in sound perception.
EVALUATION OF ACOUSTIC ATTENUATION
The HML method specifies three attenuation values in dB, the setter H represents high frequency attenuation, M represents mid fre-
quency attenuation and L represents low frequency attenuation. The SNR method specifies one unique attenuation value; this method
indicates the mean attenuation of the protector in all frequency bands between 63 Hz and 8000 Hz.

Para asegurar una protección adecuada el casco debe adaptarse a la cabeza del usuario
Cualquier casco sometido a un impacto debe ser reemplazado
No aplicar pintura, disolventes, adhesivos o etiquetas autoadhesivas, a menos que sea siguiendo las instrucciones del
fabricante.
Los usuarios deben ser conscientes del riesgo que pueda entrañar el modificar o eliminar cualquiera de los componen-
tes que originalmente se encuentran en el casco, a no ser que se haga según las recomendaciones del fabricante.
Los cascos no deberían ser adaptados, en cualquier caso para la fijación de accesorios en cualquier forma que no sea
recomendada por el fabricante del casco.
En caso de trabajos eléctricos no se debe perforar el casco para realizar los orificios de ventilación.

Un sistema anticaída es el equipo destinado a asegurar una persona a un punto de anclaje para evitar cualquier caída
desde una determinada altura o para detenerla de forma segura
Un sistema anticaída está formado, como mínimo por un elemento de amarre, un absorbedor de energía, uno o dos
conectores y un arnés anticaídas.

ADVERTENCIA
Una cuerda sin un sistema de absorción de energía no debe utilizarse como componente de un sistema anticaídas.
El punto de anclaje ha de ser lo suficientemente resistente para poder soportar la energía liberada en la caída.

The anchoring point must be strong enough to bear the energy of a fall.
The anchoring point for the fall-protection system will preferably be installed above the position of the user.

La línea de vida horizont consta:

Los puntos de anclaje deben tener al menos una resistencia estática de al menos

-Puede ser utilizada por dos operarios a la vez.

-Nunca deben conectarse dos líneas de vida una con otra

The horizontal lifeline is composed of:

- Polyester tape, 35 mm wide and 20 m maximum length
- Aluminium ratchet
It enables greater freedom of movement without changing the anchoring point.
It can be fitted by the same worker following the installation instructions.
The anchoring points must have a static resistance of at least 15 KN (1500 Kg)
and be located at the same height
