Walt Disney was the founder of

Disney. He was born on the 5th
December 1901.

Walter Elias Disney spent most of his childhood in Marceline, Missouri

He attended McKinley High School in Chicago, where he took drawing

and photography classes and was a cartoonist for the school paper. In
the evening, he took classes at the Art Institute of Chicago.

When he was 16, Disney left school to join the army but he was
rejected for being too young. Instead, he joined the Red Cross and was
sent to France for a year to learn how to drive an ambulance. He
travelled back to the United States in 1919.

Early Career and First Cartoons
In 1919, Disney moved to
Kansas City to become a
newspaper artist. His brother
Roy got him a new job at the
Pesmen-Rubin Art Studio.
There he met cartoonist Ubbe
Eert Iwwerks, better known as
Ub Iwerks. From there, Disney
worked at the Kansas City Film
Ad Company, where he made
commercials based on cutout
animation.

get there?
In 1987, Walt Disney signed an
agreement with the French
authorities to create Disneyland
Paris (Euro Disney Park at the
time).
The building process took 5
years (1987 - 1992). However,
they are always adding to the
resort.
