Cela fait 30 années que nous explorons la photographie émergente en invitant, tous les ans, en résidence de
création de jeunes artistes internationaux venant de tous les horizons artistiques photographiques et culturels.
À cette occasion anniversaire nous souhaitons explorer les nouvelles perspectives de ce médium en per-
pétuelle évolution en invitant de jeunes créateurs à développer des projets prospectifs photographiques :
• L’image photographique et son devenir ?
• Quels changements de paradigmes s’opéreront ?
• La dualité entre la virtualité et réalité ?
• Quel avenir pour la photographie documentaire, journalistique ?
• Quelles questions autour de l’écologie photographique (procédés et techniques
les moins polluants ?)
• L’existence au travers des réseaux sociaux ? Leurs tyrannies ?
…
Plus que jamais, la période qui s’offre à nous interroge nos perceptions du monde. Quelles mutations pour
la création photographique ? Celles du développement sans fin du digital ?… Ou bien vers l’organique ? La
matière ?

Jeunes artistes, photographes trentenaires*, proposez-nous vos visions, vos questionnements, vos percep-
tions des évolutions à venir… Voire votre combat… Vos expériences techniques…
Fictions ou enquêtes, introspections, micro ou macroscopiques, laissez libre cours à votre création… à vos
visions futuristes !

Présentez à notre jury constitué d’experts un dossier en pdf sans contrainte de nombre de pages, de forme
photographique etc… (Toutefois attention au poids du dossier). Ce projet doit être inédit.
Les 8 heureux·ses sélectionné·es seront soutenu·es par une bourse de 7 000 euros (comprenant droits
et frais de production versée en deux fois) et par un accompagnement technique à définir suivant la présen-
tation de l’objet artistique (exposition, projection, installation…)
Le vernissage est prévu tout début avril 2024.

Une convention/contrat sera établie avant le début des projets entre la Villa Pérochon et l’artiste prenant en
compte notamment une semaine de résidence à Niort avant le vernissage afin d’installer les expositions avec
l’équipe de la Villa Pérochon.

30 YEARs LaTER?
We've been exploring emerging photography for 30 years, inviting young international artists from all artistic,
photographic and cultural backgrounds to creative residencies.
On this anniversary occasion, we'd like to explore new perspectives on this constantly evolving medium by
inviting young creators to develop forward-looking photographic projects:
• The photographic image and its future?
• What paradigm shifts are taking place?
• The duality between virtuality and reality?
• What does the future hold for documentary and journalistic photography?
• What are the concerns as regards photographic ecology (such as less polluting
processes and techniques)?
• Existence through social networks? Their tyrannical aspects?
…
Now, more than ever, we are in a period that calls into question our perceptions of the world. What changes
in photographic creation are to be expected? The endless development of digital photography?… Or a move
towards more organic approaches and the highlighting of material aspects?

Young artists or photographers aged between 25 and 35: you are invited to tell us about your visions, your
questions, your perceptions of the changes to come… Or else about your struggles or technical experiments…
Whether fictional or investigative, introspective, micro or macroscopic, we encourage you to give free rein
to your creativity and to share your visions of the future.

Submit a PDF file to our panel of experts, with no restrictions on the number of pages, photographic format,
etc. (Please avoid, however, sending an excessively heavy file). The proposed project must be original
and not previously shown.
The eight successful candidates will receive a 7,000 euro grant (including rights and production costs,
paid in two instalments) and technical support to be determined according to the final form of the artistic
project (exhibition, projection, installation, etc.).
Opening of the show is scheduled for early April 2024.

An agreement/contract will be drawn up between the Villa Pérochon and the artist before the start of the
project, taking into account a week's residency in Niort before the opening in order to install the exhibitions
with the Villa Pérochon team.
