de 5440 hectares, Chambord est un haut lieu du patrimoine naturel français, qui abrite une flore et une
faune abondantes. Le parc de Chambord est classé au réseau écologique européen Natura 2000, il est
inscrit au titre des Monuments Historiques et classé au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO.
Walkers, welcome to Chambord Park: 1,000 hectares of forests, paths, meadows and moors are open to
visitors in the heart of the largest walled park in Europe.
With a surface area of 5440 hectares, Chambord is an important part of France's natural heritage, with an
abundance of flora and fauna. Chambord Park is part of the European ecological network Natura 2000, it is
listed as a Historic Monument and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

LES VIGNES DE THE ORMETROU

L’ORMETROU
Situées près de l´ancienne ferme
de l´Ormetrou, les vignes de
Chambord abritent plusieurs
cépages historiques, notamment le
Romorantin, le pinot noir ou encore
l´Arbois (ou menu pineau), originaire
du Val de Loire.
Une partie de la vigne est
constituée de plants
pré-phylloxériques (n’ayant subi
aucune transformation génétique ni
aucun greffage), datant de la moitié
du XIXe siècle, ce qui en fait un
patrimoine exceptionnel.
VINES
Located near the ancient
Ormetrou farm, theses vines
contain several historic varieties
of grapes : Romorantin, Pinot
Noir and Arbois, originating
in Val de Loire.
Parts of the vines consist in
pre-phylloxera plants (not having
undergone either genetic
transformation or grafting) dating
back to the mid-19th century and
representing an exceptionally
precious heritage.
