Lieu d’histoire et de mémoire, la Maison d’Izieu est

également un lieu ressource et un lieu de recherche
centré sur l’histoire de la colonie d’Izieu et le parcours
des enfants et des adultes qui y séjournèrent, ainsi
que sur l’histoire de tous les enfants juifs qui, avec la
complicité active du gouvernement de Vichy, furent
visés par la barbarie nazie.
La Maison d’Izieu reçoit en moyenne 25 000 visiteurs

Au cours du second trimestre 2 015, cet établissement
s’est lancé dans un projet pédagogique et cultu-
rel renouvelé, tourné vers un large public et vers les
nouveaux usages du numérique. biinlab synchronisé
avec 23 dispositifs en temps-réel.
Au total, 23 dispositifs interactifs tactiles (tables, ta-
blettes et écrans tactiles) ont été mis en place et ré-
partis au sein des 3 salles d’exposition : la première
partie, de l’histoire de la colonie d’Izieu à l’extermina-
tion des enfants juifs d’Europe ; la deuxième partie,
de Nuremberg la Haye, juger les criminels ; et la troi-
sième partie, la mémoire et sa construction.
Les équipements tactiles permettent ainsi de diver-
sifier l’expérience de visite par une approche colla-
borative et participative : ils favorisent la découverte
du mémorial et de ses ressources documentaires en
autonomie ou avec l’aide d’un médiateur.

A historical and memorial site, the
Maison d’Izieu is also a resource centre
and research centre focused on the
history of the Izieu children’s home and
the fate of the children and adults who
stayed there, as well as the history of
all Jewish children who, with the active
complicity of the Vichy government,
were the targets of Nazi barbarity.
On average, the Maison d’Izieu welcomes
about 25,000 visitors a year, with the
memorial appealing to a variety of
audiences (individuals, groups of all
ages and a high number of school groups
and tourists, especially from abroad).
In the second quarter of 2015, this
establishment decided to introduce
an updated educational and
cultural project targeting a wide
public and new digital usages.
biinlab synchronised with
23 devices in real time.
In total, 23 interactive touch devices
(tables, tablets and touch screens) were
installed around the three exhibition
rooms : the first part, from the history of
the colony of Izieu to the extermination
of European Jewish children; the second
part, from Nuremberg to The Hague,
judging the criminals; and the third part,
the memorial and its construction.
The touch devices therefore create a
more interactive, hands-on experience :
they encourage visitors to explore
the memorial and its documentary
resources either independently
or with the help of a guide.
