LE CONDITIONNEL

L’objectif: Can I form and use verbs in the conditional mood?

On utilise le conditionnel pour:

La politesse : Pourrais-tu m’aider ?

Un conseil : Il devrait faire ses devoirs.

Une suggestion : Aimerais-tu aller au restaurant ?

Un souhait : Je préférerais un verre de lait.

Une information non confirmée : Le confinement devrait se terminer le 1er décembre.

Un fait imaginaire : J’épouserais Brad Pitt

 Le conditionnel
En anglais, pour parler au conditionnel,
on utilise :
I would like to have a healthy life
I could work out more
I should eat healthy food

D’autres exemples ?

En français, c’est un peu different…
Il faut ajouter une terminaison à la fin du
verbe…

Par exemple:
Je voudrais faire plus de sport….
Tu devrais manger plus sain…
Il pourrait être motivé

 Il y a 12 verbes irréguliers au conditionnel, les voici:

Être = to be
Aller = to go
Voir = to see
Faire = to do
Savoir = to know
Avoir = to have
Venir = to come
Faire = to do
Pouvoir = to can
Vouloir = to want
Tenir = to hold
Falloir = to have to

 Les terminaisons du conditionnel et l’imparfait sont identiques mais les deux temps
ne doivent pas être confondues !

To form the imperfect tense, you take any infinitive, To form the conditional tense, you take any infinitive and
remove -ER, -IR or –RE and replace it with these endings: add the endings straight away:
