a. Le comparatif
In French, there are four ways of comparing things or people:
You can compare things or people with an adjective:
Elsa est plus calme que sa soeur.
Elsa est moins calme que sa soeur.
Elsa est aussi calme que sa soeur.
You can compare the way an action is being done, with an adverb:

b. Le superlatif
The superlative is expressed in English by adding est (the youngest; the fastest) to an
adjective or an adverb, or by placing the words the most or the least in front of
them.
In French, we use either le/la/les plus or le/la/les moins.
Sophie est la plus intelligente de toute la classe
Marc est le moins courageux de toute lquipe.
Irregular comparative and superlative forms; with the adjectives bon and mauvais,
make sure you make the agreement of the adjectives with the gender (add an e
with a feminine form) and the number (add an s with a plural form)
