tection grâce à ses fusibles PROTISTOR de renommée
internationale, mais aussi grâce à sa participation dans
leur application aux circuits à protéger. En effet, la
protection électrique ne s’improvise pas, ainsi, dès la
conception d'un équipement, ne pas hésiter à contacter

permettent d'optimiser celle-ci.
° La diversité des PROTISTOR s'explique par la ligne
directrice de FERRAZ qui est de s’adapter en permanence
au marché. Nous offrons des produits catalogués et des
produits spéciaux réalisables à partir de pièces détachées
standards, leur développement étant possible grâce à nos
moyens d’essais en courant continu (redresseur 4 OOO V,
banc de condensateurs de 75 KJ à 1200 V) et aussi grâce
à de nombreux essais réalisés en vraie grandeur sur dif-
férents réseaux de traction.
0 Les nombreuses innovations confèrent au produit son
originalité et un haut niveau de qualité :
- indicateurs percuteurs intégrés dans les PROTISTOR
cylindriques,
- indicateurs percuteurs ”Basse Tension” à haute fiabi-
lité, intégrés dans les PROTISTOR carrés élaborés en
1967,
- corps avec cheminée de refroidissement.
' ll existe également une ligne PROTlSTOR pour courant
alternatif (utilisable aussi en courant continu sous certai-
nes conditions) pour la protection des semi-conducteurs
de puissance (voir notice NT SC 2).
0 Les cartouches à capsules sont utilisables en support
et en sectionneur, les autres cartouches, normalement
montées avec ou sans support, peuvent s’adapter par-
fois à des appareils de sectionnement et d'interruption ou
peuvent être montées dans nos coffrets ”traction”.
Le PYRISTOR, système limiteur de courant à niveau de
déclenchement ajustable, de haute technicité, est le pro-
longement naturel du PROTISTOR de puissance. ll est non
seulement applicable à la protection de très gros conver-
tisseurs, mais aussi à toute installation dans laquelle la
rapidité d'intervention requise et/ou le pouvoir de coupure
sont inaccessibles aux disjoncteurs.
