Lesverbes (verbs)
In French, as in English, verbs are conjugated to match their subjects ( ie. a
person, thing, place or an idea). But, the conjugations are a little different and
sometimes irregular. Verbs are called irregular when their conjugation changes
with each subject.
Singular Plural

Note: Je, Tu, I, Elle, Nous, Vous, Ils and Elles are subject pronouns.

Les artides indéfinis (Indefinite artide
Indefinite articles refer to an unspecified person or thing. It is similar to a, an or
one in English and the plural is similar to some.
There are three forms of indefinite articles:
Singular Plural

Plurid des noms (Plural of nouns)
In French, all nouns have a gender i.e. they are either masculine or feminine
We can distinguish the gender by looking at the
articles
Ex. un crayon (masculine singular)

1. The plural of nouns is formed by adding an -s to the end of the
singular form, but the s is not pronounced.
Ex. un crayon des crayons

2. Nouns ending in -s, -x, -z in the singular do not change in the plural.
Ex. un bas d e s bas
