IV.3 TYPOLOGIE ARCHITECTURALE DE LA CASBAH DE

DELLYS :

Le tissu ancien de Dellys (la casbah) abritant les constructions vernaculaires se

caractérise par une unité typologique particulière tant urbaine qu’architecturale :
 L’assiette du tissu est orientée à l’ouest vers la mer offrant ainsi des vues
panoramiques ;
 Il présente un atout culturel et touristique évident ;
 Il se compose de deux parties : la haute et la basse casbah, qui présentent la
partie la plus intéressante du point de vue historique, urbanistique et
architectural

On distingue :

a) Une trame irrégulière qui suit les reliefs du terrain accidenté

b) Des ilots implantés perpendiculairement aux courbes de niveaux d’où résulte un

réseau piétonnier comportant des ruelles verticales et horizontales.. (Figure
