un pronom, on utilisera le pronom neutre (pluriel) « they » / « them » / « themselves » etc en
faisant les accords nécessaires.

- contrairement au français, pas d’article défini (« the ») devant les notions dont on parle en
général, dans l’absolu.
Par ex: LA discrimination positive = affirmative action (sans article devant le nom).
L’égalité = equality.
Dans la société = in society
Dans la société d’aujourd’hui = in today’s society
- attention au redoublement inutile du sujet. Ex : Affirmative action, it’s a good tool to…*
> Pas besoin du pronom « it », il y a déjà le sujet en début de phrase. On le fera suivre

- évitez les formes trop oralisées à l’écrit, du type « gonna ». Pas « I’m gonna… » mais « I’m
going to… »
- pour ajouter une nouvelle idée, évitez de mettre « Also » en début de phrase. Privilégiez
Moreover / Furthermore.
- ordre des mots : The color of your skin has no incidence on who a person is / who we are (et pas
« who are we » / « who is a person »).
- prendre conscience de qqch = to become aware of / to realize
