from there, about it.
• It replaces the noun introduced by
« de / its variations »
• De + places
• De + quantity
• Number + noun
 EXEMPLES

*Tu manges du pain.– Tu en manges. (You eat some of them)

*Vous avez trois mobylettes.- vous en avez trois. ( You have 3 of them)
*Il a bu trop de café - Il en a bu trop. ( He drank too much of it)
*Ma tante vient de Londres. – Ma tante en vient. ( My aunt is coming from there)
LE PRONOM – Y
It is a place pronoun.
Replaces words introduced with « dans +
place , sur + place , chez + place , à +
place »
Translated as « there »
Eg. Les ciseaux sont sur la table.– Les
ciseaux y sont.(The scissors are there)
Mon frère va au lycée – Mon frère y va.
( My brother goes there)
