Rhythmic accompaniments
Here are a few suggestions for accompanying the pieces with a small set of
drums or other percussion instruments.
These have been kept simple, so that they can be played even by children
learning the guitar. Experienced percussionists will of course be able to
improvise and use their own drum-fills for the translation between pieces.
The same basic rhythms can be used to accompany both "Bobby's Blues" and
"Woogie Boogie". Although the rhythms are given as even quavers, they are to
be played with the feeling of triplets. For "Autumn Dreams" we have not
indicated any set accompaniment, as this piece does not require a steady
accompanying beat; it would be a good idea, however, to add to the colour of
the sound with the help of chimes or triangles.
Remember, too, that "groovy" rhythms should be felt, rather üan being counted
out.
Rythmes d' accompagnement
Elles restent simples afin de pouvoir étre jouées également par des éléves
apprenant la guitare. Les percussionnistes expérimentés ne manqueront pas de
jouer leurs propres Groove et de travailler en <Fill Ins>> au niveau transitions.
