LA PHASE DADMISSIBILITE ENTRETIEN

Les preuves dadmissibilit se droulent sur le campus de lESSEC et durent environ 3 heures Ce moment lESSEC est ncessaire pour que nous nous connaissions mieux. Il alterne des priodes structures entretien, tests, visite du campus- avec des moments de dtente o vous aurez loccasion dchanger avec des tudiants MS, les membres de la communaut ESSEC et les autres candidats MS. Cette demi-journe est organise comme suit : Accueil + Welcome du Directeur des Admissions Prparation lentretien (30 Minutes) - Un document de lecture (en franais ou en anglais) vous sera remis. Il concerne la spcialit que vous avez dcid de prsenter au sein des MS ESSEC. Les cinq dix premires minutes de l'entretien porteront sur une synthse et un dveloppement oral partir de cette lecture. Les candidats au MS Marketing Management nont pas de lecture prparatoire lentretien. Entretien collectif (60 minutes) Uniquement pour les candidats au MS Marketing Management Le but de lentretien collectif est dobserver la capacit du candidat collaborer et travailler en groupe, en intelligence collective. Entretien (60 minutes) - (30 minutes pour les candidats au MS Marketing Management) - Le but de l'entretien est d'essayer de mieux vous connatre, d'apprcier votre personnalit, de cerner vos valeurs, vos modes de raisonnement, votre objectif professionnel, de comprendre vos motivations vous prsenter au MS. Les questions culturelles ou d'actualit permettront au jury de cerner centres d'intrts et ouverture d'esprit. Les membres du jury vous demanderont de commenter et d'illustrer ce qui est affirm dans votre dossier de candidature.

THE ON-CAMPUS INTERVIEW

The on-campus interview will take place in Cergy and will last approximately 3 hours Your visit will allow us to know each other better. It mixes structured events such as the interview, tests, and a campus visit, and more relaxing time during which you will be able to talk to current MS students, members of the ESSEC community, and other MS candidates. This half-day is organized as follows: Welcome and Greeting by the Associate Dean of Admissions Interview preparation (duration 30 minutes) - You will receive a reading text (in French or in English), related to the program which you have chosen. The first 5 or 10 minutes of the oral will be based on the text. You will be required to expand on the text and to give your opinion. This will take place in French or in English. Interview (duration 60 minutes) - The major objectives of the interview are to get to know you better, to understand your personality and to identify your values and your ways of reasoning. You will discuss your professional project and what has motivated you to apply for this Advanced Masters program. Questions concerning culture and current affairs will allow the jury to identify your centers of interest and open-mindedness. The members of the jury will ask you to comment on and to illustrate the content of your application. In order to do this, the following is a non exhaustive list of points which may come up: Behavior within a group Curiosity : internships abroad, variety of internships (companies/subjects), extra-curricular activities Reasons for applying for this particular Advanced Masters program

Pour cela, voici un certain nombre de points qui pourront tre abords : Curiosit : stages l'tranger, varit des stages (entreprises/thmes), activits extra-scolaires Dynamisme pour soi : activits extra-scolaires, Motivation prcise pour le MS et la spcialit choisie Ples d'intrts dans la vie Honntet intellectuelle, thique Capacit d'imagination Ouverture d'esprit et disponibilit Confrontation des difficults, persvrance, flexibilit Aptitude au comportement collectif Exigence intellectuelle Sens des responsabilits, etc Lentretien nest pas un test de vos capacits intellectuelles. Il ne mesure pas votre culture gnrale, et n'value pas vos performances acadmiques. Ce n'est pas une preuve de connaissance. Il ne ncessite pas de connaissances pralables de la spcialit choisie. Le jury est gnralement compos de reprsentants du programme et du domaine de spcialit choisie ainsi que d'un tudiant participant au programme. Visite du Campus - Les tudiants actuels des MS et certains membres du BDE vous feront dcouvrir les hauts lieux dun campus o excellence acadmique, crativit associative et vie sociale intense cohabitent harmonieusement. Un moment privilgi pour aborder les questions que vous navez pas os nous poser ! Test indicatif de maths et de statistiques (30 Minutes) (niveau fin de Terminale S) - Uniquement pour les candidats au MS Techniques Financires et au MS Finance & Asset Management, de formation initiale non scientifique/ingnieur.

Centers of interest in life Intellectual honesty, ethics Imaginative ability Open-mindedness Ability to confront difficulties, perseverance, flexibility Sense of responsibility, The interview does not assess your intellectual ability or your general knowledge, nor does it evaluate your academic performance. It is not a test of knowledge and does not require previous knowledge of the chosen specialization. The jury is generally made up of representatives of the program and of the chosen specialization, as well as a current student. Campus Visit - Current MS students and members of the student association (BDE) will tour you around the campus and show you the best of a School that successfully mixes academic excellence with an intense social and associative life. A great opportunity for you to ask all the questions you were afraid to ask. Written test in Maths and Statistics (duration 30 minutes) - (Level equivalent to the scientific section of the French Baccalaureate) - Only for the candidates for the Specialized Masters in Financial Techniques and in Insurance Finance, who do not have a scientific or engineering background.

Between the various events of the session, you will be able to unwind and meet other MS candidates and MS student in the informal environment of the relaxing lounge.

Une salle de dtente sera votre disposition. Vous pourrez y rencontrer les autres admissibles, les tudiants MS, et vous relaxer entre les diffrents temps forts de la session.

DATE ET LIEU DES ENTRETIENS Les entretiens se droulent sur le campus de lESSEC Cergy-Pontoise, aux dates prvues selon la session choisie. Les candidats internationaux ainsi que les candidats franais rsidant ltranger (hors Europe) au moment des entretiens et qui ne peuvent absolument pas tre en France au moment des entretiens (justificatif exig), ont la possibilit : 1. WHERE DOES THE INTERVIEW SESSION TAKE PLACE? The interview session takes place at ESSECs Cergy campus on specific dates depending on the session you chose.

International candidates and French candidates living abroad (Europe excluded) who are unable to attend an interview in France may be able to do one of the following:

1. Organize for their interview to be held in Singapore, on the ESSEC Campus. 2. Organize an interview by video-conference (see organization details below).

- The organization and cost of the video-conference is covered by the candidate. It is therefore worthwhile calculating the comparative cost of a video-conference and travel to France. - Students interviewed by video-conference will only be subject to the interview.

Organiser lentretien par visioconfrence engendre des frais. Ces frais sont la charge du candidat. The cost of organizing the video conference is at the candidates expense.

Once the eligibility results are published, if you are admissible for an ESSEC Specialized Masters program but cannot come to France, you must organize for an interview by video-conference. Specify that you are organizing a video-conference interview with ESSEC. They will then give you details of a center in your country that is compatible with ESSECs

2 ETAPE Lorsque les rsultats dadmissibilit sont connus, convenir de la date et de lheure de la visioconfrence avec lassistante du Mastre Spcialis. (Par convention, heure de Paris). Aucun RV ne sera pris avant les rsultats des admissibilits.
