4.1. Condiciones del sistema
Por regla general, el módem puede conectarse a cada PC con un puerto USB.
A tal efecto, en el PC tienen que instalarse los driver correspondientes. Para
usar la función Plug n' Play es necesario un PC equipado con uno de los siste-
mas operativos siguientes: Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista.
4.2. Instalación de los drivers
La instalación del driver del módem se demuestra a base del sistema operativo
Windows XP. Los drivers se tienen a disposición en el CD adjunto o en la zona de
descarga de nuestra página web www.phoenixcontact.com.
Siempre y cuando que el driver USB y el puerto virtual COM no se encuentren con-
figurados en su PC, la instalación se realiza en tres pasos:
1. Instalación del dirver para USB (FT232R USB UART),
2. Instalación/ajuste del puerto virtual COM (USB Serial Port),
3. Instalación del driver para módem (PSI BASIC-MODEM USB PNP).
El número de los pasos de instalación / del desarrollo de la instalación descrita
puede variar ligeramente en función del sistema operativo utilizado y de la con-
figuración existente del PC.
Conecte el módem al PC tal como descrito, el módem se detecta automática-
mente y el "asistente para la búsqueda del hardware" arranca.
Si el diálogo no arranca automáticamente, también se puede impulsar la detec-
ción del hardware manualmente. Para eso, abra el archivo:
"Start Menu" (menú de arranque)
-> "Settings" (ajustes)
-> "Control Panel" (panel de control)
-> "System" (sistema)
-> "Hardware" (hardware).

Windows XP. Les pilotes sont disponibles sur le CD joint ou en téléchargement sur
notre site Internet à l'adresse www.phoenixcontact.net.
Si le pilote USB et le port COM virtuel ne sont pas encore installés sur votre PC, l'ins-
tallation s'effectue en trois étapes :
1. Installation du pilote USB (FT232R USB UART),
2. Installation/Paramétrage du port COM virtuel (port série USB),
3. Installation du pilote de modem (PSI BASIC-MODEM USB PNP).
En fonction du système d'exploitation utilisé et de la configuration PC existante,
le nombre des étapes d'installation / des déroulements d'installations décrits
peut légèrement varier.
Raccordez comme décrit le modem au PC, celui-ci est automatiquement
reconnu et « l'assistant de recherche de nouveaux matériels » démarre.
Si le dialogue ne se lance pas automatiquement, vous pouvez également
démarrer manuellement la détection du matériel. Pour ce faire, ouvrez le fichier :
« Start Menu » (menu Démarrer)
-> « Settings » (réglages)
-> « Control Panel » (panneau de configuration)
-> « System » (système)
-> « Hardware » (ajout de matériel).

4.1. System requirements

sein. Zur Nutzung der Plug n' Play-Funktion ist ein PC mit einem der folgenden
Betriebssysteme notwendig: Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista.
4.2. Treiberinstallation

Anhand des Betriebssystems Windows XP wird die Installation des Modem-Trei-
bers beschrieben. Die Treiber stehen Ihnen auf der beiliegenden CD oder auf unse-
rer Homepage www.phoenixcontact.com im Downloadbereich zur Verfügung.
Sofern der USB-Treiber und der virtuelle COM-Port auf Ihrem PC noch nicht einge-
richtet sind, erfolgt die Installation in drei Schritten:
1. Installation des USB-Treibers (FT232R USB UART),
2. Installation/Einrichten des virtuellen COM-Ports (USB Serial Port),
3. Installation des Modem-Treibers (PSI BASIC-MODEM USB PNP).
Abhängig vom genutzten Betriebssystem und der vorhanden PC-Konfiguration
kann die Anzahl der Installationsschritte / der beschriebene Installationsablauf
geringfügig abweichen.
Schließen Sie das Modem wie beschrieben an den PC an, das Modem wird au-
tomatisch erkannt und der "Assistent für das Suchen neuer Hardware" wird ge-
startet.
Startet der Dialog nicht automatisch, können Sie die Hardware-Erkennung auch
manuell anstoßen. Öffnen Sie hierzu die Datei:
"Start Menu" (Startmenü)
-> "Settings" (Einstellungen)
-> "Control Panel" (Systemsteuerung)
-> "System" (System)
-> "Hardware" (Hardware).

Ahora, el sistema busca las informaciones de drivers en el lugar indi-
cado y arranca automáticamente la instalación. Confirme un even-
tual mensaje de aviso de Windows mediante el botón "Continuar la
instalación (Continue Anyway)"

Observación: Siempre y cuando que el driver USB no esté instalado
en su PC y el puerto virtual COM aún no configurado, el "asistente
para la búsqueda del hardware" recorre la rutina de instalación (Fig.5
hasta Fig.7) automáticamente hasta tres veces y finaliza la instala-
ción con el driver para módem (PSI BASIC-MODEM USB PnP).

Le système recherche maintenant les informations du pilote à
l'emplacement indiqué et lance automatiquement l'installation.
Confirmez avec le bouton « Continuer (Continue Anyway) » un
éventuel message d'alerte de Windows.

succès, confirmez avec « Terminer (Finish) ».
Remarque : Si le pilote USB n'est pas encore installé sur votre PC et
le port COM virtuel pas encore configuré, « l'assistant ajout de
nouveau matériel » poursuit l'installation (fig.5 à fig.7)
automatiquement jusqu'à 3 fois et achève l'installation avec le pilote
de modem (PSI BASIC-MODEM USB PnP).

disposition un nouveau port COM (par ex. COM3) et un nouveau
modem (PSI BASIC-MODEM USB PnP) pour les liaisons de
transmission.
Vous pouvez procéder à une vérification en ouvrant le gestionnaire
de périphériques (Device Manager) via :

-> « Settings » (réglages)
-> « Control Panel » (panneau de configuration)

Click on the "Browse" button and specify the path for saving the driver

The system now searches for the driver information at the specified
location and starts the installation automatically. Confirm any
Windows warning message with "Continue anyway".

Note: Assuming the USB driver is not yet installed on your PC and
the virtual COM port has not yet been set up, the "Found new
hardware wizard" goes through the installation routine (Fig. 5 to
Fig. 7) automatically up to three times and finishes the installation
with the modem driver (PSI BASIC-MODEM USB PnP).

dows-Warnmeldung bestätigen Sie bitte mit dem Button "Installation
fortsetzen (Continue Anyway)"

Hinweis: Sofern der USB-Treiber auf Ihrem PC noch nicht installiert
und der virtuelle COM-Port noch nicht eingerichtet war, durchläuft
der "Assistent für das Suchen neuer Hardware" die Installationsrouti-
ne (Abb.5 bis Abb.7) automatisch bis zu dreimal und beendet die In-
stallation mit dem Modem-Treiber (PSI BASIC-MODEM USB PnP). Abb./Fig. 6
