Madame/Monsieur,

Je m’appelle Nguyen Lan Ngoc, diplômée en juin de l'année dernière en

Chimie de l'Université des Sciences de Hanoї, Université Nationale du Vietnam.
Actuellement, je voudrais poursuivre mes études en Master Chimie et Sciences des
Matériaux à UEVE

En fait, je débute seulement mes études sur le sujet concernant la chimie et la

chimie organique via quelques cours organisés au sein de mon université mais je me
passionne de plus en plus pour ce domaine. Pendant les 4 années de l'université, j’ai
obtenu un diplôme excellent et atteint un niveau moyen élevé (3.35/4.0), ce qui
correspond à un classement de 7/75.

De plus, selon mes recherches à la fin d’étude pour le projet développement

d’une méthode d’analyse simultanée des deux composés PFOS et PFOA par
chromatographie électrocinétique avec détection de la conductivité sans contact (CE -
C4D), j’ai réussi à déterminer l’analyse de PFOS et PFOA dans de diverses sources
d’eau telles que les eaux usées, les eaux de mer et les eaux douces. Cependant, une
problématique se pose: “Comment traiter le PFOS et PFOA dans l’eau?”. Pour traiter
le PFOS et le PFOA de manière sécurisée, nous devons les traiter avec des composés
organiques inoffensifs, et lors de la réaction, ils forment une substance qui ne nuit pas
à l'homme. Néanmoins, en raison de mes connaissances limitées en chimie des
matières organiques, le projet n’a pas encore été complété.

Parallèlement, j’ai obtenu le DELF B2 et DUEF B2, puis, je suis actuellement

en train de me préparer pour l’examen du DUEF C1 en juin.

Après mes recherches, je me trouve qu'à UEVE en Master Chimie et Sciences

des Matériaux à UEVE se démarque dans le domaine de la chimie des matières
organiques. J'espère qu’après avoir suivi ce programme, je pourrai élargir mes
connaissances en biologie afin de poursuivre la réalisation de ce projet.

Avec mes préparations minutieuses, je souhaite devenir une lauréate de votre

programme. En attendant votre réponse, je vous prie d’agréer, Madame/Monsieur, de

LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION
To Graduate Admission Committee:
I am writing with great pleasure to recommend Ms. Ngoc Nguyen Lan for admission to your graduate
program. My name is Hoang Do. I am a faculty in Inorganic Chemistry- Department of Chemistry at
Vietnam National University - University of Science (VNU-HUS). Being an academic and student-
affairs mentor for the new students in the Faculty of Chemistry and the head secretary responding to
the activities of the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union for chemist students for the period of 2019-2022, I
had plentiful opportunities to observe and understand my students as Ms. Ngoc.
I have known Ngoc for over four years since she joined my Faculty of Chemistry as a first-year
student. I was also the lecturer for the courses of Material science, Scientific methodologies to study
material structures which Ms. Ngoc attended in the four years she looked in my Faculty. Outside
academics, Lan Ngoc actively participated in extracurricular activities, notably serving as head of the
organizing committee in the volunteer project.
Based on my evaluation, Ngoc is an excellent candidate for your program. I was very impressed by
Ngoc's proactiveness and comprehension. Through the literature review, Ngoc showed a keen interest
in chemistry and material science with highly trained reading and summarizing skills to make an
overview of the topic she followed. I am delighted with her paperwork and her assignments for my
teaching subjects. Lan Ngoc achieved a distinction bachelor's degree, ranking 7th in her class with an
average score of 3.35/4.0. Throughout her academic journey, Lan Ngoc has attained numerous
notable accomplishments. Then, she worked under my college Prof. Dr. Viet Pham Hung supervising
in Center for Environmental Technology & Sustainable Development, Hanoi University of Science,
for her research and thesis in the third and the last year. As far as my knowledge, she completed a
scientific research project titled "Development of an analytical method for simultaneous detection of
PFOS and PFOA in water samples using capillary electrophoresis" with a remarkable score of 9.7/10
for her thesis. She is so confident and self-independent in laboratory work through the way she
proposes new procedures, new mechanisms, and data procession.
Ngoc told me she wished to research cosmetic chemistry for innovations that can create new
cosmeceuticals. I wholeheartedly believe that she met all the required conditions. I have
recommended Ngoc to apply for the Master's Degree because your institute offers interdisciplinary
chemistry research with outstanding researchers and advanced facilities. I believe Ngoc could be an
excellent candidate for your program due to her strong academic foundation and English
communication, good work ethic, and teaching/researching assistance experience. With my
experience from my Ph.D. studying and working in Germany, I have no doubt that Ngoc will thrive
in graduate school. She should be given more opportunities to work in the field she is passionate
about, cosmetic chemistry, to develop her potential.
