Before you take up your seats, kindly
pick up the trashes you can see inside the
classroom and put it on our trash
bins.
Arrange the chair and be ready to call
your name.

3. Checking of the Attendance

As I call your name, say
present.
(Calling their names)
All of you are present
Very Good class.

B. REVIEW

From the previous discussion we tackled

and engaged in fun and enjoyable
physical activities.

Now who can give me their learnings on (Someone raising their hands)
it?
Yes, Ma’am from what I remember on our previous
lesson, we performed different movement which
is part of loco motor, non-locomotor and
manipulative skills.

Very Good! who else? I also remembered folk dances like tiklos,
kunday-kunday being discussed.

Also, we do different rhythmic routine likes

ribbon hoop, ball, and uses any available
indigenous/improvised material
Let’s give a rain clap for all of you
especially to the three who shares their (Doing the rain clap)
understanding about or previous lesson.

C. MOTIVATION

Okay class, I have here different pictures

which will be present in front, through
television. You are going to do is to
imitate the picture that you will see.

To begin this activity, I want all of you to (The student stands up and ready for the activity)
stand up and focus on the movement.
Guess the action that will show

Are you ready? Yes, we are

Picture 1.

(Student’s will follow just like in the picture)

“Walking forward”

Picture 2

(Student’s will follow just like in the picture)

“Backward”

Picture 3
(Student’s will follow just like in the picture)
“Fall in line”

Picture 4

(Student’s will follow just like in the picture)

“At the back of Chair”

How was the activity? It’s was really fun following the acts.

Did you enjoy it? Yes ma’am

How did you describe your experiences? The best way to do it, every picture that shown
on television, needs focus to act it.
Very good!

Now we are done on this activity

What do you think will be our lesson for I think our lesson for today is all about
today? Direction.

That’s right our lesson to be discuss

today is all about Location, Directions,
Level, Pathways and Planes.

You may now sit and be ready for the

class discussion.

D. LESSON PROPER

The Human body can move or capable in

different movement.

Kindly give me an example of Ma’am, an example of movements is;

movements.  Sway
 Hop
 Skip
 Run
Excellent!
You can raise your arms up, sway your
hips, walk, hop, skip, or run. These
actions help us every day.

In each movement, it is important to

know how and where to do it.
The movement can be made in front,
backward, high or low, straight or
winding, and vertical or horizontal.

Movements will be more meaningful if

we understand that the body is moved by
location, direction, position, path and
plane.

When you do physical activities,

following location, direction, position,
path and plane
are important to avoid accidents and
injuries.
Following the teacher’s direction will help us to
Why do you think it is important to act the activity properly, it guides us to avoid
follow your teacher’s direction while accidents and injuries.
doing physical activities?

Very well said class.

In carrying out simple movement, you
must consider the following:

General Directions
 Direction for children should
clearly say what you want them
to do, and where you want them
to go to make them move around
physically during activities.
 Symbols in direction must be
well understood. A line is a long
narrow mark from the point to
another point.
 A mark sign that shows direction
or position uses an arrow
following the line.

Here’s the example of movements

Let all rise up and do the same

movement shown on the television.
a. Movement to the right.
(The students will perform the movement just
like what has shown on the tv screen)

b. Movement to the left

(The students will perform the movement just
like what has shown on the tv screen)

Movements diagonally to the right (The students will perform the movement just
like what has shown on the tv screen)

(The students will perform the movement just

like what has shown on the tv screen)

Movement diagonally to the left

Very
good children,
You made the movement correct. Now
sit for a while, and later I will call each
of every one of you to demonstrate the
movement in front of the class.

We will begin discussing the:

I. Location

Identifying Locations and levels.

 Location is mostly used in
playing games and
 Level is used when creating a
shapes and movements where
body positions are required

Simple locations are identified as

 Behind

(Someone raises their hands)

Ma’am behind my chair is Krizel.

Look for your

seatmate, You and I are behind each
other.
Now tell me who is behind you?
Very good!
 In front

(Someone raises their hand)

Ma’am J’car kaye is in front of Marichu.

Before, Marichu said that Krizel is near

They are in front of the school.
to her, but this time we are going to find
out who is in front of her.

Who do you think is in front of her?

Very good!
Look at the picture shown on the TV.
Where do you think the four pupils at?

That’s Right.

 Under
(someone is raising their hand)
An example of it is, my books are under my
chair right now.
We’re done
discussing behind and in front, now we
are on Under.

Just like what you saw on the picture

presented at screen, give me an example
of it which you can find inside of the
room right now.

Oh Yes, you are raising your hand,

Very Good!
We have simple locations behind, in
front, under and lastly, we have over.

 Over

Over is simply on
top of something.

Remember simple locations are Behind,

In Front, Under and Over. All of this
location should now in order for a
student like you to participate in different
activities.

II. Level (April will demonstrate standing High)

 Leveling position or body
formation are identified as High, Because, both hands are on high level.
middle and low.

Here’s the example of Body Positions Ma’am I think in playing basketball, they used it.
 High- standing High

April can you

demonstrate it in front.

Why do you think it is label as high?

Very good!

Tell me what specific activity, uses this

position? (students are doing the squats)
 Middle- Squatting, kneeling
Ma’am I think before playing volleyball, players
are used this to warm up.

This is labeled as
middle level because, squats and
kneeling are done through bending your
body not too high and slow.

Okay everybody let’s do squat. Bend

your body, knees and stretch your arms.

Tell me what kind of activity, uses this

position?

 Low- sitting lying

From high and middle,

we are now on Low.
Notice how those level is different.

Low level can be done by sitting and

lying, this is simpler than the two level.
Ma’am an example of straight way is highway,

III. Identifying Pathways and

Planes I think, straight way is used in sports like
 Understanding pathways and running.
Planes in the floor area helps
children perform accurate
movements.

Simple pathways instructions used are

 Straight

I think biking ma’am

Give me an
example of straight way?
“Yes, highway is an example of straight
pathway. “
What kind of sports do you think straight
way are used?
Very well said!
 Curved

How about curved pathway, what sports

do you think is possible in this?

Very good children.

 Zigzag

Lastly, we have zigzag

IV. Plane
We can do our activity in the place where
there are the following.
 Diagonal
 Horizontal

As for
our physical activity like running.
Horizontal plane is good to make the act
effectively.

 Vertical

 Rotational.

Doing routine is the regular activity done

in PE classes.
Lining up with the proper posture,
walking with confidence, and doing other
movement combinations are example of
routines.

E. APPLICATION
To test everyone’s knowledge if they
learned something from what I discussed.
We are going to play a game.

Do you want to play? Yes ma’am

So, before we start, I want all of you to

move all the chairs. This game is called
“Follow me”.
The game is based from the lesson I
discussed; students who forget the
direction will be eliminated.

Scenario 1:
In grade 3 class all girls should move to (All students are actively participating)
the left
(To all boys, they are not allowed to
move)

Scenario 2:
Only the row 1 and 2 will be move
backward horizontally
(row 3 and 4 are not allowed to moved)

Scenario 3:
Both girls and boys will move diagonally
to the left”

Scenario 4:
Remaining players will move diagonally
to the right

Students who won the game will receive

a special price.

(After 10 minutes of game.)

Ma’am, it’s very confusing especially the
Who finds the game difficult?
direction.
“That’s why it is important to memorize
those direction and movements, Yes ma’am
especially when you are in the actual
game.

F. GENERALIZATION

We’re done discussing and describing

the Locations, Directions, Levels,
Pathways, and Planes. It’s time for us to
recall what we have learned.

What topic did you remembered from (someone’s raising their hands)
what I discussed? From what I remembered ma’am, the movement
can be made in front, backward, high or low,
straight or winding, and vertical or horizontal.

Very Good!
Following the teacher’s direction will help us to
Why do you think children like you act the activity properly, it guides us to avoid
needs a direction of a teacher? accidents and injuries.

Very Good!

Give the examples of Body Position The three examples of Body Positions are

 High- standing High

 Middle- Squatting, kneeling
 Low- sitting lying

Give an example of simple location.  Behind

 In Front

 Under

 Over
Very God! Children.
I know all of you learned from the topic
we discussed.
