NEW GRAMMAR
La France est une république qui est composée de la France métropolitaine et les DOM-TOM ET COM. La capitale
de la France est Paris. La France est l’un des pays les plus visités dans le monde.
La France compte 22 régions et 96 départements. La France partage sa frontière avec six autres pays: l’Espagne, la
Belgique, la Suisse, L’Allemagne, l’Italie et l’Angleterre (à travers le tunnel sous la Manche).
Les DOM-TOM signifient les départements d’outre-mer. Les DOM-TOM compte environ 1,9 million d’habitants qui
viennent de pays comme l’ile de la Réunion, la Guadeloupe, la Martinique, et…. Les départements d’outre-mer
sont représentés au parlement français.

QUI OR QUE?
Qui and que are used to link two parts of a sentence together.
qui
• It is used instead of repeating a noun or a phrase, and is the subject of a verb. It means that the sentence
will have only one verb and one subject.

En France :
Sur la route nationale on peut rouler jusqu’à 90km/h alors que sur l’autoroute on peut aller jusqu’à 130km/h.
L’alcool au volant n’est pas interdit en France mais on ne peut pas boire autant que l’on veut. On peut boire soit
0,25 cl de bière ou 12,5 cl de vin ou 3 cl d’alcool qu’on appelle alcool fort avant de prendre sa voiture.
