The Family Computer

En France, 1' ordinateur est un des cadeaux préférés dans de nombreuses families
à Noël. Les parents pensent souvent acheter un ordinateur pour aider les enfants dans
leurs études. Ce qui est vrai et faux à la fois.
Vrai, car aujourd'hui il y a peu de professions ou l'ordinateur n'est pas utilisé.
Patrons, employés de bureau, même les fermiers en ont besoin. Mais, pour la plupart des
personnes dans le monde du travail, l'ordinateur n'est qu'une machine à écrire
sophistiquée. II n'est donc pas nécessaire de faire un métier ultra qualifié pour se servir d'
un ordinateur.
Les programmes éducatifs aident les enfants à acquérir des connaissances
basiques, tout en leur permettant de s'amuser. De plus, images, vidéos et musique rendent
la lecture plus intéressante.
Toujours est-il que la famille qui achète un ordinateur doit s' acheter aussi une
imprimante*. Sans oublier le lecteur de CD rom et de DVD et le graveur de CD
maintenant obligatoires.
