Les formes de négation

We used ne and Pas in 1st year to change positive sentence to negative sentence. (Ne verb conjugation pas)
This year learn how to change specific sentences to negative.

Example: If the questions are…… how would you reply in negative.

• Did you always watch movies in the night?

• Did you already order the food?
• What are you doing?
• Do you know someone is UK?
• Do you have any more chocolates?

1. Toujours Always 1. Ne ………… Jamais Never

2. Déjà Already 2. Ne ………… pas encore Not yet

3. Quelque chose Something 3. Ne ………… rien Nothing

4. Quelqu’un Someone 4. Ne ………… personne No person

5. Encore Still / any more 5. Ne ………… plus No more

Example: instead of pas we should use these teams (jamais, rien, etc, depending on the specific sentence)

1. Il ne va jamais à l’étranger.

He never goes to foreign.

2. Le train ne part pas encore.

The train didn’t leave yet.

3. Il ne mange rien le matin.

He eats nothing in the morning.

4. Nous ne connaissons personne dans cette ville.

I know no one in the city.

5. On n’a plus de place, C’est complet !

We no more have place. It is full!

1. Tu manges toujours au restaurant Chinois ? Do you always eat at Chinese restaurant ?

Je ne mange jamais au restaurant chinois. I never eat at a Chinese restaurant.

2. Le film commence déjà ? Did the film already start?

Le film ne commence pas encore. The film did not start yet.

3. Il fait que ? What is he doing?

il fait rein. Nothing.

4. Tu vois quelque chose ? Do you see something?

Je ne vois rien. I see nothing.

5. Vous avez encore la glace ? Do you still have ice cream?

Je n’ai plus la glace. I have no more ice cream.
