This book deals with the appearance of money and first autonomous coinage in these parts of Balkans.
That process is dated from the time of the coinage of Damastion mines, posthumous (tetradrahmi) of Filip
Macedonian II, early imitations, then celtic/barbarious emissions, to the money coined on the east
Adriatic coast, (drahmi) of Apolonia/Dirahion and Roman republican dinars. This study especially treats the money
of Scordics and gives the typology, technics of coinage, chronology and catalogue of the finds.
In the conclusion, the author considers social-economic changes and monetary circumstances on Central Balkans
in last centuries B.C.

The cemetery was excavated from 1980 to 1989, due to the archaeological researches made during the building of
hydroelectric power station Djerdap II. In the graves with buried bodies, there were also founds of bronze and iron jew
and arms, as well as ceramic vessels of Basarabi type.
The materials were dated in VII century b.c. Beside the archaeological and antropological results, this monography
represents the analysis of the cemeteries and it deals with the problem of the appearance of iron in the territory of Ser
Romanian Lower Danube in the same period.
