There must be two separate power supply sections from the electrical cabinet,
one for the CLC N subsystem and one for the CLC R subsystem. Each power
supply section is connected to a specific multi-socket. The information displayed
is:
· The CLC internal switch does not require an overload switch if the power supply
is supplied by an electrical cabinet fitted with an overload switch. If this is not the
case then an overload switch must be installed.
· If the power supply available in the building where the CLC is installed does not
satisfy the requirements described above then a power supply cabinet satisfying
all the requirements and suitable to power the subsystem must be installed. In
GENERAL GE-001 this instance the cables coming from the electrical cabinet power supply panel Yes CONS-03
(ref. [13]). must be connected to the terminals located at the back of the CLC
cabinet.
· Installation and maintenance must be performed whilst the CLC N or R is
disconnected from the power supply to ensure the safety of the operator. It is not
enough to adjust the rear switch (front for V5 PBS) on each CLC N or R cabinet
or the cabinet multi-socket. Switch OFF the main switch, located on the power
supply panel, or disconnect the rack plugs from the multi-socket.
· External power supply source sizing must ensure a power supply of at least 500
VA for each individual rack.
The requirement must be guaranteed as part of system configuration design.
The Dallas chips (Ds2505) installed in the racks must have the following
characteristics:
- Fixed identification value to indicate whether the rack is for CLCN or CLCR.
- Local SID and constant values to enable calculation of the root for the Vital
Sequence Number Generator used by the FSFB/2 protocol (see Ref. [16]). This
configuration data is extracted from the HCF file generated by the SMARTCAA as
an input for the CLCCAA program which generates a Hex Intel file for the Dallas
GENERAL GE-010 Yes CONS-03
component which is loaded on the rack backplane using a special tool.
- Programmed in accordance with the procedures described in the document
entitled Configuration Boards Procedure (Ref. [15]). The procedures control
correct programming by comparing the program checksum with the one
envisaged for the system.
The requirement is guaranteed by internal ALSTOM procedures as well as
installation and maintenance procedures.

unequivocally identify all the cables as well as the origin and destination
connectors.
As far as all the HDLC trunks in output from the CLC are concerned, the following
line terminations must be fitted for each serial channel:
§ ZNET trunk – (Ex: connection with ZLCs) Terminations – CLC side code
N687056860W, ZLC side code N687056863Z.
§ FNET trunk – (Ex: connection with MGRC chains)Terminations – CLC side code
N687056860W, MGRC side code N687056862Y.
INSTALLATION IN-010 Note:As far as the connections wiring diagram is concerned refer to the No CONS-03
maintenance manual [19]As far as the connection with the TFM-GW (ZNET
network) is concerned, an additional termination is not fitted on the TFM-GW side,
in that:
· Terminations are already fitted internally on the TFM-GW side.Only one TFM-
GW is fitted for the HDLC trunk.
This requirement must be ensured during the installation stage.
The FDB (N687056835U) and ZNET/FNET cables are shielded and the braiding
must only be connected to earth in a single point on the rack in the screw near
INSTALLATION IN-011 Yes CONS-03
the cable connection.
This requirement must be ensured during the installation stage.
3.2.3 Design:
The CLC subsystem must be powered by a 220Vac / 230Vac power supply with
the following characteristics to ensure correct functioning:
– Stationary variation less than -15% +10% .
– Dynamic variation less than +/- 10%.
– Frequency variation less than +/- 2%.
– Distortion less than 5%.
– Maximum interruption equal to 10 ms.
DESIGN DE-001 Yes CONS-03
– Variations to the peak value must be less than (Veff * Ö2) ±1.5%, where Veff is
the effective value measured on the 220V/230V power supply input suitable to
power Category II Overvoltage equipment (in accordance with IEC 606641 /
CEI 28-6) and class 3 installation equipment (in accordance with CEI EN 61000-
4-5; maximum overload 2 kVpk) or Category OV2 Overvoltage equipment (in
accordance with EN 50124-1; maximum overload 2.5 kVpk).
– Frequency equal to 50 Hz +/-2%.
The CLC uses the FSFB/2 protocol to ensure suitable countermeasures for the
transmission of data to other subsystems. Receiving subsystems must also use
the FSFB/2 protocol to ensure communication with the CVLC subsystem. The
DESIGN DE-003 Yes CONS-03
use of this communication protocol enables data transmission and prevents
unauthorised access.
The requirement must be guaranteed as part of system architecture configuration.
Refusal to use the input variables must be analysed carefully in that a false value
could mean that the input port which acquired the value is damaged (fault not
compromising safety). In this case a false state input variable could be used by
the logic to define a permissive action simply by combining, using an AND logic
DESIGN DE-007 Yes CONS-03
operation, the input variable with an enabling condition in the true state following
vital verification that the input port is functioning correctly .
This requirement must be guaranteed by the design process and system logic
validation (Interlocking Principles and Data Preparation).
The node SID allocated to each host must have unequivocal characteristics
based on the constraints described in “FSFB/2 PC SW Requirements
Specifications” Ref.[35] and is stored on the CLC Ss FLASH CARD.The
requirements that SMARTCAA must conform to for allocation of the numeric
values are described in the document “FSFB/2 PC SW Requirements
Specifications” Ref.[35]:
· FSFB/2- SWRS-Cnf 1 - CRC features
DESIGN DE-013 Yes CONS-03
· FSFB/2- SWRS-Cnf 2 - Number of nodes in a FSFB/2 network and related SID
· FSFB/2- SWRS-Cnf 3 – SID features
· FSFB/2- SWRS-Cnf 5 – Relation between values integrated in the transmission
CRCM
Conformity with the constraint is guaranteed by use of SMARTCAA. In systems
not using SMARTCAA, the constrains imposed by the application condition must
be respected.
The DATAVER is a configuration parameter for CLC for the FSFB/2 protocol with
specific characteristics and which is stored on the CLC Ss FLASH CARD.The
value of this parameter must be the same for the transmitting subsystem and the
receiving subsystem which dialogue using FSFB/2.As far as the value of
DATAVER for each node from which the CLC subsystem received vital data using
the FSFB/2 is concerned, SMARTCAA must define this 32-bit word which must
DESIGN DE-015 Yes CONS-03
be the same as the one set in the transmitting node. The details of this operation
are described in section 3.2.1 of the document entitled “FSFB/2 PC SW
Requirements Specifications” Ref.[35].
Conformity with the constraint is guaranteed by use of SMARTCAA. In systems
not using SMARTCAA, the constrains imposed by the application condition must
be respected.
The parameters defined in the HCF file host section have specific configuration
limits due to the current version of the CLC subsystem software. These limits
described in the document entitled “CLCCAA Configuration Files Specification”
DESIGN DE-016 (Ref. [28]) are shown in Table 2. Yes CONS-03
Conformity with the constraint is guaranteed by use of SMARTCAA. In systems
not using SMARTCAA, the constrains imposed by the application condition must
be respected.
The parameters defined in the [COM_MAIN] section of the CCF file have specific
configuration limits for the current version of the CLC subsystem software. The
values of the parameters are set automatically by the SMARTCAA system
configuration tool in accordance with the type of Specific Application under
consideration. These limits described in the document entitled “CLCCAA
Configuration Files Specification” (Ref. [28]) are shown in Table 4 below. Each
DESIGN DE-018 UDP channel which can be configured on CLC (in accordance with the Yes CONS-03
constraints described in Table 4) enables the following operating modes:
UNICAST, BROADCAST and MULTICAST.Each UDPRED channel which can be
configured on CLC (according to the values of Table 4) enables the following
operating modes: UNICAST and MULTICAST.The table below (Table 5) shows
the configurations permitted for the UDP and UDPRED protocol when the CLC Ss
communicates with other subsystems whether they are redundant or not.
There are some constraints on the maximum number of the CLC communication
channels. Precisely:
· 150 global communication channels
· 140 channels that use the UDP/IP protocol
DESIGN DE-031 Yes CONS-03
· 56 channels activated in multicast modality
· 5 channels that use the TCP protocol
· 10 HDLC starting up channels
Only constraints on the configuration of the CLC subsystem are identified.
There are some constraints on the BSD message length that it must make up of a
number of byte that is divisible by four.
DESIGN DE-032 Yes CONS-03
There are some constraints on the configuration of remote Ss that receive FSFB2
tristate stream
ZNET/FNET equipment with the same cycle time must be configured in the same
subnetwork. For example, it is not possible to configure, within an FNET sub-
DESIGN DE-033 network, MGRC subsystems with TC of 500 msecs and ZLC subsystems with the Yes CONS-03
same TC
The requirement must be guaranteed as part of system architecture configuration.
· The time between one polling operation and the next one towards the same
DESIGN DE-034 slave is equal to 220 ms if there are two or more slaves. If only one slave is No CONS-03
configured this time has a maximum value of 110 ms.
· At least two polling sessions towards the slaves are performed during the CLC
DESIGN DE-035 500 ms cycle. No CONS-03
Similarly for the FNET configuration:
· The time between one polling operation and the next one towards the same
DESIGN DE-036 slave is equal to 440 ms if there are two or more slaves. If only one slave is Yes CONS-03
configured this time has a maximum value of 440 ms.
The following must be taken into consideration to calculate the oversight cycles
for each individual receiving node.- time dynamics of communications (polling
cycles and sessions).- limit defined by worst case CLC transmission scenario
following failure of the subsystem in service and therefore the maximum distance
DESIGN DE-037 between 2 consecutive packages transmitted from CLC towards a node in any Yes CONS-03
network. This distance is equal to Twctx = 2 * TC = 1 s (worst case transmission
scenario following failure). The above condition must be suitable integrated with
the effects of the time required for transmission on the network and the cycle time
for the asynchronous receiving network.
The following must be taken into consideration to calculate the oversight cycles
