1. OBJET / PURPOSE
traitants.
This document defines for each type of equipment the level and extent of Inspection and Tests which are required as a minimum
by CONTRACTOR and to be performed by the SUPPLIER. This Inspection Data Sheet is a standard document and may be
amended by the CONTRACTOR according to requirements of the contract.
Note: The Inspection Data Sheet (IDS) issued by the CONTRACTOR is not a substitute to the Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) issued
by the SUPPLIER. It only gives the minimum points to be included in the ITP by SUPPLIER and its sub-Vendors.
NOTE: ECHANTILLONAGE
The nature of inspection points shall be indicated against each activity of fabrication and of testing by means of specific letters:
H (Hold Point) means that the presence of the concerned parties (CTR, C, IIA) is mandatory. Notification shall be issued
to CONTRACTOR by fax or e-mail at least 15 days in advance. If Hold Point is related to Company or
DPEM, the notification shall be addressed 45 days by advance and confirmed 15 days ahead. Work can-
not proceed without the CONTRACTOR signing off of the inspection activity, unless a waiver has been re-
ceived by the SUPPLIER in writing.
W (Witness point) means that the presence of the concerned parties (CONTRACTOR, COMPANY) is NOT mandatory. Noti-
fication for inspection shall be issued by the SUPPLIER 45 days if witnessed by Company/Third Party or
15 days ahead. If CONTRACTOR does not wish to attend (or do not attend) the witness point, the
SUPPLIER must proceed with internal inspection and work can go ahead, without presence of the
CONTRACTOR and without delay.
M (Monitoring point) means that the concerned parties witnessing is not mandatory. No notification is required. But
CONTRACTOR may carry out inspection/ tests at any stage of the fabrication. The SUPPLIER may pro-
ceed with internal inspection and proceed with the work, provided that control and tests reports are avail-
able to the CONTRACTOR for review.
R (Review) means that concerned parties must approve the SUPPLIER’s manufacturing documents, and review in-
spection/ tests records and certificates.
F (FOAK) First Of A Kind. The purpose of FOAK inspections is to prevent non-conformance which may occur at a
later stage. FOAK inspections are implemented to ensure that the first execution of each type of inspec-
tion is assigned Hold point (H) and later similar inspection are changed to Witness point (W), Monitoring
point (M), once the CONTRACTOR Inspector, the COMPANY Inspector, I.I.A. Inspector and SUPPLIER’s
activity Representative have reached a common agreement on the standard achieved during FOAK.
This also means that FOAK is completed only when conformance is achieved.
NOTE: SPOT-CHECK Indicated spot-check percentages concern the extent of spot-check for each type and each batch of mate-
rial, that the CONTRACTOR wants to inspect. This defined extent is independent of the one executed by
the SUPPLIER who should normally apply a percentage of 100%, except when the applicable standards
otherwise define.
4. NOTES
CONTRACTOR’s defined holds point, witness points and document review do not relieve the SUPPLIER from his contractual
obligations as defined in the P.O.
The SUPPLIER may issue an Inspection and Test Plan per type of equipment as far as necessary in order to incorporate all
the materials and equipment of the Purchase Order.
INT-10003-E»).
In any case, the ITP shall be submitted to the contractor for review and approval at least (30) calendar days before start of
production (refer to “VENDOR INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS” F10077-SSA-PROC-INT-10003-E).
