Scope and Objective of the Course:


To inculcate in students the sociological imagination towards social issues that would help them understand
the issues not in isolation but in totality. Sociological study aids in comprehending one's identity, thinking, and
action. It helps to develop critical understanding, analytical skills and social sensibility which would help the
students to be more tolerant towards human and social differences and make more balanced judgments on social
issues in their later life.
