Stratgie 4 Learning by doing
When you are learning vocabulary, dont just
Stare at a list of words. Theyre not just very likely to jump into your
brain. Doing something often helps to make them stick. For example, you
can copy them out. Thats a good way of remembering how to spell words,
but it can get a bit boring. Why not make some cards with the French word
on one side and the English on the other? You can then play a game with
yourself or a partner. You can also use this method to learn the genders of
nouns, e.g. write salade on one side of the card and la/une or fem. on the
other.
