Laffichage LCD est constitu de verre et peut tre endommag sil tombe par terre ou
subit un impact.
Nutilisez pas le talkie-walkie dans un environnement fortement humide, poussireux ou
explosif.
Batterie :
Ce talkie-walkie est conu pour employer une batterie rechargeable Li-ion de 3,7 V. La
batterie incluse avec le talkiewalkie comporte un circuit de protection pour sauvegarder la
batterie de court-circuits internes et de surcharges.
vitez tout contact des bornes exposes de la batterie avec des matriaux conducteurs
tels que des bijoux mtalliques, des cls ou des chanes. Un contact risque de raliser un
circuit lectrique (court circuit) et de provoquer ainsi une surchauffe de la batterie pouvant
provoquer des dgts ou blessures.
Ne remplacez la batterie que par un type identique ou quivalent recommand par le
fabricant.

Premire utilisation
Installation de la batterie
Batterie Li-ion rechargeable
Appuyez sur lextrmit suprieure du couvercle de batterie et faites-le glisser vers le bas.
Suivez lindication This Side Out (ct extrieur) et les indications +/- pour installer la
batterie Li-ion dans le compartiment.
Poussez ensuite le couvercle de batterie vers le haut pour le fermer.

Avertissement :
Une inversion des polarits de la batterie risque dendommager lappareil et la batterie.
Si vous pensez ne pas utiliser lappareil durant une priode prolonge (par ex. plusieurs
semaines), veuillez enlever la batterie.
Veuillez liminer les batteries usages ou dfectueuses en respectant les normes
gnrales de scurit et de protection de lenvironnement dapplication (les batteries
doivent par ex. tre dcharge avant dtre jetes).
Ne jetez pas les batteries au feu.

Utilisation des piles alcalines

Le botier de piles AAA optionnel vous permet demployer des piles AAA courantes :
Respectez les indications +/- pour installer les 3 piles AAA alcalines dans le botier de
batterie (botier pais).
Allumez le PMR, enlevez le couvercle mince et la batterie Li-ion.
Insrez lextrmit suprieure du botier de batterie AAA et poussez le bouton de batterie
vers le bas pour le fermer.

Charge de la batterie
Lorsque laffichage LCD indique que la batterie est dcharge, vous devrez recharger la
batterie au moyen de ladaptateur AC/DC ou du chargeur de table inclus. La batterie
incorpore un circuit de limitation du courant de charge : lorsque la batterie est
ompltement charge, ce circuit coupe automatiquement le courant de charge pour
protger la batterie.

Charge avec ladaptateur AC/DC :
Branchez ladaptateur dans une prise secteur et branchez la fiche dans la prise couteur
de lappareil. Lappareil steint automatiquement, le rtro-clairage LCD sallume en rouge
et laffichage sefface. Le temps de charge est denviron 4 heures. Lorsque la charge est
complte, le rtro-clairage LCD sallume en vert.
Lappareil chauffe lgrement durant la charge.
Charge avec le chargeur de table
Branchez ladaptateur au chargeur de table. Placez lappareil dans le chargeur.
Durant la charge, la LED rouge du chargeur sallume et lappareil reste allum.
Le temps de charge est denviron 6 heures. Lorsque la charge est complte, la LED du
chargeur devient verte. Enlevez le talkie-walkie pour arrter la charge.

Avertissement : Pour viter dendommager lappareil, employez uniquement des

accessoires originaux.
Utilisation gnrale
Mise en marche / larrt
Pour allumer lappareil, enfoncez sur le bouton ; laffichage LCD indique alors le n
de canal et licne de niveau de batterie.
Pour teindre lappareil, enfoncez le bouton durant 2 secondes, jusqu ce que
laffichage LCD steigne.
Communication avec le talkie-walkie PMR 446
Lappareil comporte 8 canaux principaux et 38 codes CTCSS. Vous pouvez communiquer
avec tout autre talkie-walkie PMR 446 employant le mme canal et code CTCSS.
Parler dautres talkies-walkies
Enfoncez et maintenez le bouton PTT (Press To Talk appuyer pour parler). Le rtro-
clairage LCD rouge sallume et affiche licne .
Maintenez lappareil en position verticale en tenant le microphone une distance de 5
8cm de la bouche et parlez de faon normale.
Lorsque vous avez fini de parler, relchez le bouton PTT. Vous entendrez alors un bip.
couter dautres talkies-walkies
Le talkie-walkie reproduit automatiquement les transmissions reues.
Lorsque le bouton PTT est enfonc, vous ne pourrez pas couter dautres talkies-walkies.
Ajustez le contrle de volume si ncessaire.
Utilisation dun casque-microphone externe
Enfichez le casque-microphone externe dans la prise de casque.
Enfoncez et maintenez le bouton PTT du casque pour parler. Relchez le bouton PTT pour
couter. Rglez le contrle de volume si ncessaire. Si le casque-microphone est quip
dun commutateur de mode, assurez-vous que celui-ci se trouve en position PTT .
Rglage du volume du haut-parleur
En mode PMR 446, appuyez simplement sur la touche pour augmenter le volume.
Appuyez sur la touche pour diminuer le volume. En mode dmission FM, ces touches
ajustent normalement les frquences reues. Avant dutiliser ces touches pour
augmenter/diminuer le volume, appuyez dabord sur pour passer en rglage de volume !

Fonction de suspension TX
La fonction de suspension TX permet dviter une transmission accidentelle et prolonge la
dure de vie de la batterie. Lappareil arrte de transmettre et met un ton davertissement
lorsque le bouton PTT est enfonc durant plus de 60 secondes. Vous devez alors relcher
le PTT et lenfoncer nouveau pour continuer mettre.
Utilisation du menu
Organigramme du menu
Appuyez une fois sur pour accder la slection du canal principal. Appuyez
ensuite nouveau sur pour slectionner la fonction suivante. Les diffrents niveaux
du menu apparaissent dans lordre suivant :
Menu -> PMR 446 -> channel CTCSS -> FM Radio -> Call tone -> Scrambler -> VOX ->
Stop watch -> Baby monitor -> Roger beep -> APO -> Menu
Slection du canal
Vous pouvez communiquer avec tout autre utilisateur employant le mme canal PMR 446.
Rglage du canal PMR 446 oprationnel
Appuyez une fois sur la touche . Le numro du canal commence alors clignoter
laffichage. Appuyez sur la touche ou pour slectionner le canal principal
souhait. Enfoncez le bouton PTT pour confirmer et sortir.
Fonction de codage CTCSS
Cette fonction vous aide identifier votre groupe dutilisateurs sur un mme canal. Seuls
les utilisateurs utilisant le mme code CTCSS peuvent couter et parler entre-eux, de telle
manire que le mode CTCSS fonctionne comme sous-canal pour votre groupe ferm
dutilisateurs. Sachez que la slection dun code CTCSS ne garantit pas une intimit
complte : en communication radio, un talkie-walkie PMR 446 quelconque peut couter
toutes les communications sur le mme canal en employant le rglage standard par
dfaut, soit CTCSS = 0 (teint).
Slection dun code CTCSS
Appuyez deux fois sur la touche . Le code CTCSS commence alors clignoter
laffichage. Appuyez sur la touche ou pour slectionner le code CTCSS
souhait (1 38, 0 = teint). Enfoncez le bouton PTT pour confirmer et sortir.
Rception radio FM
Vous pouvez couter la radio FM travers le haut-parleur ou avec lcouteur.

Slection de la frquence FM
Appuyez 3 fois sur la touche . Lcran LCD affiche la frquence FM.
Appuyez et maintenez la touche ou pour balayer les frquences radio FM.
Le balayage sinterrompt lorsquune station FM est dtecte.Lcran LCD affiche la
frquence. Vous pouvez maintenant couter la station FM correspondante. Vous pouvez
poursuivre le balayage pour continuer chercher la frquence FM de votre choix.
Slection du volume de rception en mode radio
Appuyez une fois sur a touche (en mode radio, cette touche permet dalterner
entre le rglage de frquence et le rglage de volume). Appuyez sur ou
pour ajuster le volume en rception FM.Appuyez nouveau sur la touche pour
sortir du rglage. de volume et revenir au mode de rglage de frquence.

Priorit du PMR 446 en mode radio
-Mme lorsque votre talkie-walkie fonctionne en mode radio, le talkie-walkie continue
surveiller la plage de frquence PMR 446 pour dtecter la rception dappels ou de
signaux. Si un signal PMR 446 entrant est dtect, lappareil passe automatiquement
en mode PMR et vous laisse couter les transmissions PMR 446.
-Si vous nappuyez pas sur le bouton PTT pour rpondre, lappareil repasse
automatiquement en mode radio FM aprs la transmission PMR 446.
-Si vous appuyez sur le bouton PTT pour transmettre, lappareil sortira du mode de radio
FM et restera maintenant en mode PMR 446.
-Aprs conclusion de la communication PMR, vous pouvez appuyer 3 fois sur la touche
pour entrer de nouveau en mode radio FM. Lappareil se rglera alors sur la dernire
frquence radio FM slectionne.
Tonalit dappel
Vous pouvez utiliser des tonalits dappel (mlodies) pour attirer lattention dautres
personnes ayant un talkie-walkie rgl sur le mme canal et code CTCSS. Vous pouvez
galement utiliser des tonalits dappel pour signaler le dbut ou la fin dune transmission.
Appuyez sur la touche . Lcran LCD affiche alors licne et votre tonalit
dappel sera transmise aux rcepteurs proches rgls sur le mme canal.
Slection de la tonalit dappel
Appuyez 4 fois sur la touche . Lcran LCD affiche alors licne et le numro de
tonalit dappel commence clignoter. Appuyez sur la touche ou pour
slectionner la tonalit dappel souhaite. Enfoncez le bouton PTT pour confirmer et
sortir.
Fonction de brouillage
En slectionnant le mme rglage de brouillage que les autres membres de votre groupe,
vous jouirez dune intimit de conversation. Il existe 4 rglages de brouillage diffrents :
Appuyez 5 fois sur la touche . Lcran LCD affiche alors licne .
Appuyez sur la touche ou pour slectionner un rglage de brouillage (de 1
4) . OF correspond la fonction normale, soit brouillage teint. Enfoncez le bouton PTT
pour confirmer et sortir. Aprs avoir activ la fonction de brouillage, lcran LCD affiche
licne . Assurez-vous que tous les autres membres du groupe de votre rseau PMR
utilisent le mme rglage de la fonction de brouillage. Il est normal que tous les utilisateurs
doivent utiliser le mme modle de talkie-walkie, parce que diffrents fabricants peuvent
utiliser diffrentes mthodes de brouillage non compatible entre-elles.
VOX (fonction mains-libres)
Lappareil comporte une fonction de commande vocale VOX (Voice Activated Circuit)
intgre permettant de parler et dcouter sans enfoncer le bouton PTT. Cette fonction
sutilise prfrablement avec un couteur externe. (Notez que lcouteur slectionn doit
tre incorporer la fonctionnalit VOX).
Activation de la fonction VOX
Appuyez six fois sur la touche . Lcran LCD affiche licne et le chiffre de
sensibilit VOX commence alors clignoter laffichage. Appuyez sur la touche ou
pour slectionner la sensibilit : 1 = teint, 2 = moyenne, 3 = haute. Aprs activation
du VOX, lcran LCD affiche licne . Enfoncez le bouton PTT pour confirmer et
sortir. Vous pouvez brancher lcouteur pour parler et couter en mode mains-libres .
Veuillez parler suffisamment prs du micro pour activer la fonction VOX. Assurez-vous que
lcouteur est connect en mode VOX avant de le brancher !

Chronomtre
Appuyez 7 fois sur la touche .
Laffichage de lcran LCD est alors le suivant :
Appuyez sur la touche ou pour dmarrer et sur la touche ou
pour arrter. Appuyez ensuite sur la touche pour remettre zro.
Temps intermdiaires
Pour obtenir un temps intermdiaire, appuyez sur la touche ou pour
dmarrer. Appuyez sur la touche pour afficher un temps intermdiaire pendant que
le chronomtre continue fonctionner. Appuyez de nouveau sur la touche pour
revenir en mode chronomtre et afficher le temps total coul. Appuyez sur la touche
ou pour arrter et sur la touche pour remettre le chronomtre zro.
Appuyez 4 fois sur la touche pour sortir.
Fonction Babyphone
Cette fonction peut tre utilise non seulement pour surveiller des bbs ou des
personnes moins valides, mais aussi pour la surveillance acoustique dune pice. La
fonction est similaire au mode VOX mais est particulirement configure pour la
surveillance dun enfant et le contrle acoustique. Un des talkies-walkies est rgl en
mode babyphone ; lautre reste en mode normal et sert recevoir les transmissions du
babyphone. Pour activer un talkie-walkie en mode babyphone :
Appuyez 8 fois sur la touche . Lcran LCD affiche alors licne Baby .
Appuyez sur la touche ou pour rgler le niveau de sensibilit de 1 3 (de
faible lev) ; OF dsactive cette fonction. Enfoncez le bouton PTT pour
confirmer et sortir. Aprs activation de cette fonction, lcran LCD affiche licne Baby .
Bip de confirmation dappel (ON/OFF)
La fonction Bip de confirmation dappel active une courte tonalit transmise aprs avoir
relch le bouton PTT. Appuyez 9 fois sur la touche . Lcran LCD affiche Roger .
Appuyez sur la touche ou pour activer (laffichage indique ) ou dsactiver
(laffichage indique ). Enfoncez le bouton PTT pour confirmer et sortir.
Aprs avoir activ la fonction Bip de confirmation dappel, lcran LCD affiche licne RGR.
Extinction automatique APO (Auto Power Off)
Cette fonction peut aider conomiser la batterie au cas o vous oublieriez dteindre le
talkie-walkie aprs utilisation. Appuyez 10 fois sur la touche . Lcran LCD affiche
licne . Appuyez sur la touche ou pour slectionner le temps dextinction
automatique, soit entre 0 et 12 heures. Enfoncez le bouton PTT pour confirmer et
sortir. Ou appuyez une fois sur la touche pour sortir. Aprs activation de cette
fonction, lcran LCD affiche licne . Le talkie-walkie steindra maintenant
automatiquement aprs la dure slectionne.
Balayage des canaux
Appuyez sur la touche . Lcran LCD affiche alors licne . La radio commence
balayer automatiquement tous les canaux.
Note : Si vous appuyez et maintenez la touche pendant plus de 2 secondes, le bruit de
fond disparat et la radio se met en coute sur le canal affich. Lappareil balaye tous les
canaux un par un. Il reste sur le canal occup. Appuyez sur la touche ou pour
poursuivre le balayage. Sil ny a pas de signal, le balayage se poursuit. Enfoncez le
bouton PTT pour conserver le canal et sortir de la fonction de balayage.

Umgebungsbedingungen
Das Funkhandy nicht fr lngere Zeit direkter Sonneneinstrahlung und Temperaturen unter
-20C oder ber 60C aussetzen.
Das Funkhandy in Umgebungen mit ausgewiesenen Einschrnkungen fr die Nutzung von
Funkgerten und Mobiltelefonen stets ausschalten.
Das LCD hat eine Glasoberflche, die durch Ste oder zu hohen Druck beschdigt
werden kann.
Das Funkhandy nicht in zu feuchten, staubigen oder explosiven Umgebungen verwenden.
Batterie:
Dieses Funkhandy ist fr den Betrieb mit einem aufladbaren 3,7V Li-Ionen-Akku
konzipiert. Der m Lieferumfang enthaltene Akku hat eine Schutzschaltung, die den Akku
vor internen Kurzschlssen und berlast schtzt.
Jeden Kontakt der Batteriepole mit leitenden Materialien wie Schmuck, Schlsseln oder
Ketten vermeiden. Ein solcher Kontakt knnte zum Kurzschluss fhren, ein berhitzen des
Akkus und somit Schden oder Unflle verursachen.
Zum Ersatz des Akkus nur vom Hersteller empfohlene, gleichwertige Ersatzakkus
verwenden.

Entsorgungs- und Recycling-Hinweise

Dieses Funkgert wurde schadstoffarm nach der neuen Europischen RoHS
Direktive hergestellt. Fr eine evtl. sptere Entsorgung beachten Sie bitte, dass
Elektro- und Elektronikgerte nicht mehr ber den normalen Hausmll entsorgt
werden drfen, sondern nur noch ber die kommunalen Sammelstellen. Die
Abgabe gebrauchter Gerte ist dort fr Sie als Benutzer kostenlos, da die

Inbetriebnahme
Einlegen der Batterie
Aufladbarer Li-Ionen-Akku
Am oberen Rand auf die Batterieabdeckung drcken und diese herunterschieben.
Den Akku unter Beachtung der angegebenen Polung (+ und -) und mit der mit This side
out gekennzeichneten Seite nach auen einlegen. Dann die Batterieabdeckung wieder
nach oben schieben.

Warnung:
Das Einsetzen von Batterien oder Akkus mit umgekehrter Polung kann Schden an der
Batterie und am Gert verursachen. Wird das Gert lngere Zeit nicht genutzt, die Batterie
herausnehmen.Verbrauchte und defekte Batterien bitte nur ber die berall eingerichteten
Sammelstellen entsorgen, dabei darauf achten, dass Batterien vor der Entsorgung
entladen sein mssen. Verbrauchte Batterien nicht ins Feuer werfen.
Alkali-Batterien
Mit dem als Zubehr erhltlichen Batteriefach knnen auch herkmmliche Alkali-Batterien
vom Typ AAA verwendet werden. Die drei Batterien vom Typ AAA mit der dargestellten
Polung in das (grere) Batteriefach einlegen. Das Funkgert ausschalten, die flache
Batterieabdeckung und den Li-Ionen-Akku entfernen. Das Batteriefach fr die Alkali-
Batterien von oben hineinschieben und zum Arretieren die Verschlusstaste drcken.

Aufladen des Lithium-Ionen Akkus
Wenn auf dem Display ein niedriger Batterieladestand angezeigt wird, muss der Akku mit
dem im Lieferumfang enthaltenen AC/DC-Adapter oder Tischladegert aufgeladen werden.
Der Akku ist mit einer eingebauten Schutzschaltung gegen berlast ausgestattet. Wenn
die Batterie vollstndig aufgeladen ist, wird die Spannungszufuhr zur Batterie automatisch
unterbrochen.
Achtung: Nur der mitgelieferte Lithium-Ionen-Akku kann mit dem Stand
bzw. Steckerlader aufgeladen werden, nicht aber evtl. benutzte alternative AAA Batterien!
Sollten Sie AAA- Akkus benutzen, dann laden Sie diese bitte in einem passenden externen
Ladegert auf.

Ladevorgang mit dem 230 V Steckerlader:
Den Steckerlader mit der Netzsteckdose verbinden und das andere Kabelende an die
Kopfhrerbuchse des Funkhandys anschlieen.
Das Gert schaltet sich automatisch aus und die Hintergrundbeleuchtung wird rot (keine
Displayanzeige).
Das vollstndige Aufladen des Akkus beansprucht ca. 4 Stunden. Ist der Akku komplett
aufgeladen, wechselt die LCDHintergrundbeleuchtung in Grn.
Whrend des Ladevorgangs kann sich das Gert leicht erwrmen, dies ist normal.
Ladevorgang mit dem Tischladegert
Den 230 V Steckerlader an die Ladeschale anschlieen.
Funkhandy (einzeln oder beide) in die Ladeschale stellen und auf guten Kontakt achten.
Whrend des Ladevorgangs bleibt das Funkhandy eingeschaltet und am Tischladegert
leuchtet die ROTE LED auf.
Das vollstndige Aufladen des /der Akkus beansprucht ca. 6 Stunden (bei 2 Gerten). Ist
der Akku komplett aufgeladen, leuchtet die jeweilige LED des Ladegerts grn. Zum
Beenden des Ladevorgangs das Gert aus dem Ladegert nehmen.
Warnung: Um Schden am Gert zu vermeiden, bitte nur Originalzubehr verwenden.
Betrieb
Ein- und Ausschalten
Zum Einschalten die Taste drcken, auf dem Display werden der Kanal und der
Batterieladestand angezeigt.
Zum Ausschalten die Taste fr 2 Sekunden gedrckt halten, bis sich das Display
ausschaltet.
Kanle und Codes fr PMR446 Funkverbindungen
Das Gert hat alle 8 europaweit freigegebenen Kanle und 38 zustzliche CTCSS Codes.
Sie knnen mit jedem PMR446-Funkgert kommunizieren, das auf den gleichen Kanal und
die gleiche CTCSS Codenummer eingestellt ist.

Kommunikation mit anderen Funkgerten

Die Sendetaste (PTT) gedrckt halten. Die ROTE LCDHintergrundbeleuchtung schaltet

Empfang von anderen Funkgerten
Empfangssignale werden automatisch wiedergegeben. Bei gedrckter PTT-Taste knnen
Sendungen anderer Funkgerte nicht empfangen werden. Falls erforderlich, die
Lautstrke einstellen.
Verwendung eines externen Headsets
Ein externes Mikrofon-Kopfhrer-Set an die Headset-Buchse anschlieen. Zum Sprechen
die PTT-Taste am Headset gedrckt halten. Zum Empfangen die PTT-Taste loslassen.
Falls erforderlich, die Lautstrke einstellen. Sicherstellen, dass der Schalter fr den
Empfangsmodus - sofern vorhanden - auf PTT gestellt ist.

Einstellung der Lautsprecherlautstrke
Im Betriebsmodus PMR 446 die Taste drcken um die Lautstrke zu erhhen.
Zum Verringern der Lautstrke drcken.
Im UKW Radio Modus werden mit diesen Tasten standardmig die Empfangsfrequenzen
eingestellt. Um die Tasten fr die Lautstrkeeinstellung zu nutzen, zuerst drcken, um
auf diesen Einstellungsmodus umzuschalten (bzw. auch wieder zurck)!
Sende-Timeout (Sendezeitbegrenzung)
Das Sende-Timeout (Sendezeitbegrenzung) schtzt vor versehentlichem Senden und
verlngert die Batterielebensdauer. Bleibt die PTT-Taste fr lnger als 60 Sekunden
gedrckt, wird die bertragung unterbrochen und ein akustisches Warnsignal abgegeben.
Um nach einer Sendersperrung wieder weiter senden zu knnen, die PTT-Taste loslassen
und erneut drcken.
Bedienung des Mens
Men- Reihenfolge
Zum ffnen der Kanalauswahl die Taste ein Mal drcken. Zur Auswahl der nchsten
Funktion erneut drcken, die Funktionen sind in folgender Reihenfolge angeordnet:
Men -> PMR 446-Kanal -> CTCSS -> UKW-Radio -> Rufton -> Verschlsselung -> VOX -
> Stoppuhr -> Babymonitor -> Roger-Beep -> APO -> Men.
Kanalauswahl
Sie knnen mit jedem beliebigen anderen Benutzer sprechen, der den gleichen PMR 446-
Kanal (und den gleichen CTCSS Code, falls benutzt) verwendet.
Einstellung des PMR 446-Betriebskanals
Die Taste ein Mal drcken. Die Kanalanzeige beginnt zu blinken. bzw.
drcken um den gewnschten Kanal auszuwhlen. Die PTT-Taste drcken um die
Auswahl zu besttigen und den Modus zu verlassen. Alternativ ein Mal drcken. Auf
diese Weise wird die letzte Auswahl besttigt und das Men schaltet zur nchsten
Funktion.
CTCSS Codefunktion
Mit dieser Funktion knnen Sie innerhalb des gleichen Kanals eine bestimmte
Benutzergruppe identifizieren und abgrenzen. Bei Aktivierung knnen nur Benutzer mit der
gleichen CTCSS Codeeinstellung untereinander kommunizieren und empfangen, d.h.
der CTCSS-Modus funktioniert wie ein Sub-Code fr eine abgegrenzte Benutzergruppe.
Bitte bercksichtigen Sie jedoch, dass auch die Nutzung eines CTCSS Codes keine
absolute Vertraulichkeit gewhrleistet. In der Funkkommunikation kann jedes PMR 446-
Gert mit der Standardeinstellung CTCSS = 0 (aus) alle Sendungen auf dem aktiven Kanal
empfangen.
Auswahl eines CTCSS Codes
Die Taste zwei Mal drcken. Die CTCSS Codeauswahl beginnt zu blinken.
bzw. drcken um den gewnschten CTCSS Code (1- 38, 0 = aus)
auszuwhlen.
Die PTT-Taste drcken um die Auswahl zu besttigen und den Modus zu verlassen.
UKW-FM-Radio
Sowohl ber den Lautsprecher als auch ber den Kopfhrer knnen Sie mit diesem
Funkhandy auch UKW Radiosendungen empfangen.

Auswahl der UKW- Empfangsfrequenz
Die Taste 3 Mal drcken. Auf dem Display wird die UKW Frequenz
angezeigt. oder gedrckt halten, um die UKWEmpfangsfrequenzen
durchzugehen. Der Suchlauf stoppt automatisch, sobald ein empfangswrdiges UKW
Signal gefunden wird. Auf dem Display wird die jeweilige Frequenz angezeigt und Sie
hren das entsprechende Radioprogramm. Zur Auswahl eines anderen Senders den
Suchlauf fortsetzen.
Einstellung der Empfangslautstrke im Radiomodus
Die Taste ein Mal drcken (im Radiomodus schaltet diese Taste zwischen
Frequenzsuchlauf und Lautstrkeeinstellung um). oder drcken, um die
Lautstrke des UKWRadioempfangs einzustellen. Die Taste erneut drcken, um von
der Lautstrkeeinstellung wieder zum Frequenzsuchlauf zurckzuschalten.
Vorrang von PMR- Funkgesprchen whrend des Radioempfangs
Auch whrend des Radioempfangs prft Ihr Funkgert kontinuierlich den vorher zuletzt
benutzten PMR 446-Kanal auf eingehende Signale. Wird ein PMR 446-Signal erfasst,
schaltet das Gert automatisch auf PMR 446 um und Sie hren das Funkgesprch mit.
Wird die PTT-Taste nicht gedrckt um zu antworten, schaltet das Gert nach Ende der
Funkdurchsage automatisch auf UKW Radioempfang zurck.
Wird die PTT-Taste gedrckt um zu antworten, schaltet das Gert permanent vom
Radioempfang in den PMR 446 Funkmodus um. Nach Beendigung der PMR-
Kommunikation ggf. wieder mehrmals drcken um in den UKW-Radiomodus
zurckzuschalten. Das Gert gibt dann den zuletzt gehrten Radiosender wieder.
Rufton
Ruftne (Melodien) knnen genutzt werden, um andere Benutzer zu rufen, die den
gleichen Kanal und CTCSS Code aktiviert haben. Auerdem knnen die Ruftne als Start-
oder Endsignal fr Funkbertragungen genutzt werden.Die Taste drcken. Auf dem
Display wird das Symbol angezeigt und Ihr Rufton wird an in der Nhe befindliche
Benutzer mit dem gleichen aktiven Kanal versendet.
Einstellung des Ruftons
Die Taste vier Mal drcken. Auf dem Display wird das Symbol angezeigt und die
Ruftonnummer blinkt. bzw. drcken, um den gewnschten Rufton
auszuwhlen. Die PTT-Taste drcken, um die Auswahl zu besttigen und den Modus zu
verlassen.
Verschlsselung (Srambler)
Fr vertrauliche Gesprche innerhalb einer Benutzergruppe knnen alle Mitglieder dieser
Gruppe die gleiche Verschlsselungseinstellung vornehmen. Zur Verfgung stehen vier
verschiedene Arten von Verschlsselungen. Die Taste 5 Mal drcken. Auf dem
Display wird das Symbol angezeigt. bzw. drcken, um eine der 4
mglichen Verschlsselungseinstellungen auszuwhlen. Die Option OF steht fr
Normalbetrieb ohne Verschlsselung. Die PTT-Taste drcken, um die Auswahl zu
besttigen und den Modus zu verlassen. Bei aktiver Verschlsselung wird auf dem
Display das Symbol angezeigt. Um wie gewnscht mit allen Gruppenmitgliedern
Kontakt halten zu knnen, bitte achten Sie darauf, dass alle Gruppenmitglieder die
Verschlsselungsfunktion mit der gleichen Einstellung verwenden. Auerdem mssen alle
Benutzer das gleiche Gertemodell verwenden. Die Entschlsselungsfunktionen
unterschiedlicher Hersteller weichen mglicherweise voneinander ab und sind
untereinander nicht kompatibel.

VOX (Freihandfunktion)
Das Gert verfgt ber eine integrierte VOX-Funktion (Voice Activated Circuit). Mit dieser
Funktion knnen Sie empfangen und sprachgesteuert senden, ohne die PTT-Taste
drcken zu mssen. Dazu benutzt man zweckmigerweise ein externes Headset mit
Mikrofon und Kopfhrer, wie z.B. das mitgelieferte einfache Headset. Bitte beim Benutzen
anderer Headsets beachten, dass der Kopfhrer fr den VOXBetrieb ausgelegt sein muss.
Einschalten der VOX-Funktion
Die Taste sechs Mal drcken. Auf dem Display wird das Symbol angezeigt und
die Empfindlichkeitsstufe blinkt. bzw. drcken um die gewnschte
Empfindlichkeit auszuwhlen (0F=AUS, 1=Niedrig, 2=Mittel und 3 =Hoch). Bei aktiver
VOX-Funktion wird auf dem Display das Symbol angezeigt. Die PTT-Taste drcken um
die Auswahl zu besttigen und den Modus zu verlassen. Zum Aktivieren der VOX-Funktion
aus geringer Entfernung in das Mikrofon sprechen. Bitte beachten, dass der Kopfhrer ggf.
vor dem Anschlieen auf VOX umgestellt werden muss!

Stoppuhr
Die Taste 7 Mal drcken. Displayanzeige:
Zum Starten und Stoppen oder drcken.
Zum Rckstellen drcken.
Zwischenzeiten
Zum Stoppen von Zwischenzeiten oder drcken. Die Taste drcken,
die Zwischenzeit wird angezeigt,whrend die Stoppuhr weiter luft. Anschlieend die
Sperrtaste erneut drcken um in den normalen Stoppmodus zurckzukehren und die
verstrichene Gesamtzeit anzuzeigen. Zum Starten und Stoppen bzw. und zum
Rckstellen drcken. Zum Verlassen die Taste 4 Mal drcken.
Babymonitor
Diese Funktion eignet sich nicht nur zur berwachung von Kleinkindern oder
pflegebedrftigen Personen, sondern auch zur Raumberwachung. Die Funktion ist dem
VOX-Modus hnlich, aber speziell als Babymonitor und zur Raumberwachung
abgestimmt. Damit das Baby nicht gestrt wird, bleibt in dieser Funktion der Lautsprecher
des Gerts ausgeschaltet! Ein Funkgert wird als Babymonitor eingestellt, whrend das
andere im Normalmodus bleibt und die Sendesignale des ersten empfngt. Aktivierung
eines Funkgerts als Babymonitor:. Die Taste 8 Mal drcken. Auf dem Display wird
Baby angezeigt.
bzw. drcken um die gewnschte berwachungsempfindlichkeit
auszuwhlen (1-3 = Niedrig bis Hoch, OF = AUS). Die PTT-Taste drcken, um die Auswahl
zu besttigen und den Modus zu verlassen. Ist die Funktion aktiviert, wird auf dem Display
das Symbol Baby angezeigt. Zur Babyberwachung eignet sich auch hervorragend
unser Babyberwachungsmikrofon BM1- dadurch kann das Funkgert auch weiter vom
Babybett entfernt aufgestellt werden und verursacht weniger Elektrosmog.
Roger Beep (Quittungston EIN/AUS)
Der Roger-Beep ist ein kurzer Signalton, der nach dem Loslassen der PTT-Taste gesendet
wird. Die Taste 9 Mal drcken. Auf dem Display wird Roger angezeigt. Zum
Einschalten (Displayanzeige ON ) und zum Ausschalten drcken
(Displayanzeige OFF). Die PTT-Taste drcken um die Auswahl zu besttigen und den
Modus zu verlassen. Bei aktivem Quittungston wird auf dem Display RGR angezeigt.

Informazioni generali

Condizioni ambientali di utilizzo

- Evitare di lasciare lapparato sotto linfluenza diretta dei raggi solari o comunque in condizioni di
temperatura inferiori ai 20C o superiori ai +60C.
-Non utilizzare lapparato in luoghi od ambienti dove esplicitamente vietato lutilizzo di apparati radio o
telefoni cellulari.
-Il display LCD realizzato in vetro e quindi se sottoposto ad urti o cadute dellapparato potrebbe rompersi.
-Non utilizzare lapparato in condizioni di umidit estrema od in luoghi molto polverosi.

Batterie
-Il ricetrasmettitore stato progettato per funzionare con una batteria ricaricabile Li-Ion da 3,7V. La batteria
fornita in dotazione con lapparato include un circuito di protezione contro la sovraccarica od un eventuale
corto circuito.
-Evitare di cortocircuitare i terminali della batteria in quanto potrebbe verificarsi un surriscaldamento della
stessa con un potenziale pericolo di incendio.
SI consiglia di utilizzare unicamente un tipo di batteria consigliato dal costruttore o comunque conforme alle
specifiche tecniche.

Installazione della batteria
- Rimuovere il coperchio delle batterie premendo il pulsante di blocco e facendo scorrere il
coperchio verso la direzione della freccia (figura 1);
- Installare il pacco batterie in dotazione facendo attenzione alla polarit (figura 2) e
tenendo la parte scritta e la linguetta della batteria verso l'alto (figura 3);
- Riposizionare il coperchio del vano batterie (figura 4).
ATTENZIONE:
- Non invertire la polarit delle batterie;
- Non utilizzare batterie diverse dall'originale;
- In caso di inutilizzo della PMR per un lungo periodo di tempo togliere le batterie per
evitare l'usura della batteria e la conseguente corrosione della PMR;
- Se la batteria esausta o danneggiata gettarla negli appositi contenitori.

Utilizzo dell'adattatore per ministilo

Con la vostra PMR possibile anche utilizzare le normali pile ministilo (AAA) Alkaline
utilizzando l'adattatore per ministilo al posto del normale sportello batterie.
- Spegnere la PMR, togliere il coperchio batterie e il pacco batterie;
- Inserire 3 ministilo alkaline AAA nell'adattatore rispettando le polarit indicate;
- Inserire la parte superiore dell'adattatore e spingere verso il basso la parte inferiore per
chiudere il coperchio.

Indicazione del livello di carica

La vostra PMR ha un indicatore di livello di carica della batteria a tre livelli: massimo,
medio, minimo. Quando le batterie sono scariche e il livello sul minimo
bisogna porre in ricarica la PMR o tramite l'alimentatore o tramite il caricabatterie da
tavolo.
Ricarica tramite ladattatore AC/DC
Collegare ladattatore AC/DC ad una presa di rete AC ed il cavetto di alimentazione alla
presa Earphone dellapparato. Il ricetrasmettitore si spegner automaticamente, mentre si
attiva la retroilluminazione in rosso del display per tutta la durata della fase di ricarica.
Per una ricarica completa occorrono circa 4 ore, comunque al termine della fase di
ricarica la retroilluminazione varia nelcolore verde.
ATTENZIONE: Durante la fase di ricarica sia ladattatore che il pacco batterie potrebbero
riscaldarsi leggermente.

Ricarica tramite caricabatterie da tavolo
- Collegare ladattatore al caricabatterie da tavolo.
- Inserire lapparato nel caricabatterie.
- Durante la fase di ricarica, il led rosso presente sul caricabatterie si accende ed il
ricetrasmettitore rimane acceso.
- Il tempo di ricarica di circa 8 ore. Al termine della ricarica il led presente sul
caricabatterie si accender nel colore verde. Per terminare la fase di ricarica togliere
lapparato dal caricabatterie.
Accensione/Spegnimento
Per accendere FW500 TENERE PREMUTO il tasto per almeno 3 secondi comunque
fino a quando non si accende. Per spegnerla tenere premuto lo stesso tasto ( ) fino a
quando il display non si spegne.

Utilizzo del ricetrasmettitore PMR

Il ricetrasmettitore dotato di 8 canali e 38 codici CTCSS. Tramite questo apparato
possibile comunicare con altri apparati PMR operando naturalmente sullo steso canale
PMR e codice CTCSS.
Come comunicare con altri apparati.
Per trasmettere, premere e tenere premuto il pulsante PTT, si accender la
retroilluminazione in rosso del display e verr visualizzata licona .
Durante la fase di trasmissione, tenere lapparato i posizione verticale e con il microfono ad
una distanza di almeno 5-8 cm dalla vostra bocca, quindi parlare con un tono di voce
normale. Al termine della trasmissione, rilasciare il pulsante PTT, si
sentir un tono di conferma.
NOTA:Mentre si trasmette non si pu ricevere.
Ascolto delle trasmissioni
- Il ricevitore una volta acceso consente di ascoltare automaticamente le trasmissioni attive
sul canale operativo impostato. Premendo il pulsante PTT, si entra in trasmissione e
quindi non sar possibile ricevere.
- Regolare il livello del volume audio come desiderato.
Regolazione del volume di ascolto
Premere il tasto per aumentare il volume e il tasto per diminuirlo.
Funzione TX Time Out
La funzione di Time Out in trasmissione permette di evitare delle trasmissioni accidentali,
prolungando lautonomia della batteria.
Se si tiene premuto il pulsante PTT per oltre 60 secondi, lapparato emetter un segnale
acustico e la trasmissione viene bloccata automaticamente, per continuare a trasmettere,
sar necessario rilasciare il pulsante PTT e quindi premerlo nuovamente.
Nella modalit VOX, il ricetrasmettitore bloccher la trasmissione ed un tono di avviso
verr emesso se la comunicazione procede oltre i 60 secondi, per fermare il segnale
acustico, sar necessario premere il pulsante PTT e riattivare la funzione vox per la
trasmissione successiva.

Utilizzo dellauricolare
- Collegare lauricolare PTT alla presa earphone dellapparato.
- Premere e tenere premuto il tasto PTT presente sullauricolare per trasmettere.
- Rilasciare il pulsante PTT per ricevere.
- Regolare il controllo del volume come desiderato.
Portata di trasmissione
La massima portata di trasmissione si ottiene in campo aperto dove non sono presenti alti
edifici od altri ostacoli naturali. La portata massima di trasmissione in campo aperto di
circa 3km. La portata si riduce ove siano presenti alti edifici, alberi i colline. La portata
risulta ridotta al minimo in citt, foreste o zone montuose.
ATTENZIONE: Onde evitare possibili interferenze, evitare di trasmettere in prossimit di
altri apparati radio.
OPERAZIONI DA MENU
Descrizione dei vari menu
Per accedere al menu si selezione dei canali premere una sola volta il pulsante ,
premere nuovamente questo pulsante per accedere alla selezione della funzione
successiva.
La sequenza dei vari menu la seguente:
MENU -> Main Channel-> CTCSS-> FM Radio-> Call Tone-> Scramble-> VOX-> Stop
watch-> Baby monitor-> Roger Beep-> APO-> MENU
Selezione dei canali
Per comunicare con un'altra stazione PMR necessario utilizzare lo stesso canale
operativo.
Impostazione del canale principale
- Premere il pulsante , sul display il numero relativo al canale appare in lampeggio.
- Tramite i tasti selezionare il canale desiderato.
- Premere il pulsante PTT per confermare e chiudere.
- Oppure premere ancora una volta il pulsante , per confermare lultima selezione ed
accedere alla successiva funzione di selezione.
Codici CTCSS
Questa funzione consente di identificare il proprio gruppo di utilizzatori del medesimo
canale operativo. Solo gli utenti che avranno programmato lo stesso codice CTCSS
potranno ascoltare e parlare con gli altri componenti del gruppo, tenere presente che
gli eventuali altri utenti che non fanno parte del gruppo, ma che sono sintonizzati sul vostro
canale, possono comunque ascoltare le vostre trasmissioni
Selezione di un codice CTCSS
Premere due volte il pulsante , sul display apparir il codice CTCSS in lampeggio.
- Tramite i tasti selezionare il codice CTCSS desiderato (1-38, la condizione 0
indica che il codice disattivo).
-Premere il pulsante PTT per confermare e chiudere. Oppure premere ancora una volta il
pulsante , per confermare lultima selezione ed accedere alla successiva funzione di
selezione.
Radio FM
Il ricetrasmettitore in grado di ricevere lintera banda FM dagli 88 ai 108MHz.

Selezione della frequenza FM
-Premere tre volte il pulsante . Sul display apparir la frequenza FM in MHz.
- Tramite i tasti avviare la scansione delle frequenze FM.
-La scansione si ferma non appena viene rilevata una stazione trasmittente.
- Premendo nuovamente i tasti si pu riavviare la scansione per la ricerca di una
nuova emittente.
- Per regolare il volume audio, premere e quindi i tasti .
- Alla ricezione di un segnale di chiamata PMR, oppure se viene premuto il pulsante PTT,
lapparato commuter automaticamente nel modo PMR.
- Al termine delle operazioni PMR, premere il pulsante per tre volte per fare ritorno al
modo FM. Se ritornate in modalit FM si torner a sintonizzarsi sullultima frequenza FM
Tono di chiamata
Il tono di chiamata viene utilizzato per avvisare il vostro corrispondente, sintonizzato sullo
stesso canale e con il medesimo codice CTCSS, dellarrivo di una chiamata. E possibile
utilizzare i toni di chiamata allinizio ed al termine delle vostre trasmissioni.
- Premere il pulsante , sul display appare lindicazione ed il vostro tono di
chiamata viene trasmesso a tutti gli altri apparati sintonizzati sulla vostra stessa frequenza.
I toni di chiamata disponibili sono 10.
Per selezionare un tono di chiamata
Premere quattro volte il pulsante , sul display apparir lindicazione ed il numero
del tono di chiamata in lampeggio. Tramite i tasti selezionare il codice desiderato.
Premere il pulsante PTT per confermare e chiudere.
Funzione Scrambler
Grazie alla funzione scrambler sar possibile effettuare delle trasmissioni private non
decifrabili da persone estranee al vostro gruppo di comunicazione.
- Premere cinque volte il pulsante , sul display apparir lindicazione .

Premere il pulsante PTT per confermare e chiudere.
Dopo avere attivato la funzione di scrambler, sul display LCD appare lindicazione .
Accertarsi che il vostro corrispondente abbia impostato anchesso la stessa formula di
scrambler.
Funzione VOX (Operazioni a mani libere)
Lapparato dotato della funzione VOX per operazioni a mani libere. Grazie a questa
funzione sar possibile utilizzare il ricetrasmettitore sia in trasmissione che in ricezione
senza dovere agire sul pulsante PTT. Per lutilizzo di questa funzione necessario fare

Tempo parziale
Per ottenere un tempo parziale durante il cronometro , premere il tasto . Premere il
pulsante per visualizzare il tempo parziale mentre il cronometro continua a funzionare.
Premere nuovamente il pulsante per fare ritorno al modo cronometro .
Premere i tasti per fermare il cronometro e quindi per resettare.
Funzione controllo bambini
Premere otto volte il pulsante , sul display apparir lindicazione Baby.
Tramite i tasti selezionare un livello di sensibilit da 1 a 3 (basso od alto).

Funzione Roger Beep (ON/OFF)

Premere il pulsante PTT per confermare e chiudere. Con questa funzione attiva, sul

Auto Spegnimento OFF (APO)
Premere dieci volte il pulsante , sul display apparir lindicazione .
Tramite i tasti selezionare un tempo di autospegnimento compreso tra 0 e 12 ore.
Premere il pulsante PTT per confermare e chiudere. Con questa funzione attiva, sul
display appare licona , ed il ricetrasmettitore si spegner automaticamente trascorso il
periodo di tempo impostato.
Scansione dei canali
Per attivare la funzione di scansione premere il pulsante , sul display LCD apparir
lindicazione e la scansione partir automaticamente.
Nota: Premendo questo pulsante per oltre due secondi, sar possibile aprire lo squelch in
maniera tale da potere controllare la trasmissione sul canale operativo.
Lapparato inizia la fase di scansione canale per canale, fermandosi solo sui canali dove
presente un segnale modulato. Premere i tasti per riavviare la scansione.
Alla scomparsa del segnale sul canale, la scansione riprende automaticamente per
fermarsi sul prossimo canale attivo. Premere il pulsante PTT per confermare e chiudere.
Rester sintonizzato lultimo canale trovato attivo durante la fase di scansione.
Oppure premere ancora una volta il pulsante per uscire.
Blocco dei tasti
Premere e tenere premuto il pulsante per 1,5 sec.,
sul display apparir lindicazione . Tutti i tasti dellapparato eccetto il pulsante PTT ed
il pulsante di accensione risulteranno bloccati. Per ripristinare il normale funzionamento,

Battery Installation
Using Li-ION rechargeable battery. Press the top end of battery door and slide it down
Follow This Side Out & +/- direction to install the Li-ION battery pack into the
compartment Then push up the battery door to close.

Warning:
Reversing the polarities of battery could damage the unit and the battery.
If you're not going to use the unit for a long period of time e.g several weeks, please take
out the battery.

Use Alkaline batteries
You can use normal AAA size batteries with the optional AAA battery case:
- Follow +/- direction to install 3 AAA size Alkaline batteries into the 3A battery case;
- Power off the PMR, remove the thin battery door and the Li-ION battery;
- Insert the top end of the AAA battery case and then push down the battery knob to close.
NOTE: Its possible install also 3 AAA rechargeable batteries but have to be already
charges because through PMR is impossible to recharge the 3 AAA rechargeable
batteries.

Recharging the Battery

When the LCD display shows the battery level is low, you must charge the battery with the
enclosed AC/DC Adaptor or Desktop Charger. The battery has a built-in charging current
limit circuit, when the battery fully charged, the circuit will cut the charge current
automatically to protect the battery.
Charging with the AC/DC Adaptor:
- Plug the adaptor into the wall socket and plug the other end into the earphone jack.
- The unit will automatically turn off, LCD backlight turn on in RED and have no display.
- Charge time is around 4 hours. Once fully charged, the LCD backlight will turn to Green.
During charging, the unit will slightly warm.

Charging with Desktop Charger
- Plug the adaptor into the desktop charger.
- Put the unit into the charger. - During charging, the RED LED of the charger will be on &
the unit remains on.
- The charging time is around 6 hours. Once fully charged the LED of the charger will turn
Green. Take out the radio to stop charging

GENERAL OPERATION
Power On/Off
To switch on, press Key, the LCD display shows the Channel no. and battery level
icon. To switch off, press Key for 2 seconds until LCD display turns off.

Using the PMR446 radio part for communication

The unit has 8 main channels & 38 CTCSS codes. You can communicate with any other
PMR446 radio that is using the same main channel & CTCSS code.
Speaking to other radios
Press & hold the PTT key, the RED LCD Backlight will turn on & show icon.
Hold the unit in a vertical position with the Microphone 5-8cm from the mouth and then
speak with normal voice. When you have finished speaking, release the PTT key and you
will hear a beep tone.
Listening to other radios
The radio will automatically play received transmissions. While you press the PTT key, you
cannot listen to other radios. Adjust volume control if necessary.
Using an external Microphone/Earphone set
Plug the external mic / earphone set into the headset socket. Press and hold the PTT
button on the earphone to speak. Release the PTT key to listen. Adjust volume control if
necessary. Make sure that if equipped- the mode switch at the Mic/Earphone set is on
PTT position.
Adjusting speaker volume
In PMR 446 mode, just press the key to increase the volume. Press the key to
decrease the volume.
TX Time Out Function
TX time out function can avoid accidental transmission and prolong the battery life. The
unit will stop transmitting and sound a warning tone when PTT is hold over 60 seconds.
You then need to release PTT and press it again for further transmission.
Menu Flow chart
Press" " once to enter main channel selection. Press " " consequently again for next
function selection, the different menu steps appear in following sequence: Menu -> PMR
446 channel -> CTCSS -> FM Radio -> Call tone -> Scrambler -> VOX -> Stop watch ->
Baby monitor -> Roger beep -> APO -> Menu
Select Channel
You can communicate with any other user who is using the same PMR 446 channel.

To set the PMR 446 operating channel

CTCSS code function
This function can help you to identify your group of users among the same channel. Only
the users with the same CTCSS code setting can listen and talk to each other, so the
CTCSS mode is like a sub code for Your closed user group. Please note that selecting a
CTCSS code does not assure total privacy: In radio communication, any PMR 446 radio
can listen to all communications on the same channel when using the default standard
setting with CTCSS = 0 (off).
To select a CTCSS code
Press the " "key twice, the CTCSS code display will flash,
Press " " keys to select your desired the CTCSS code (1~38, " 0 " is off)
Press the PTT key to confirm and quit.
FM Broadcast Radio
You can listen to FM Broadcast Radio with the speaker or through earphone.
Select FM Broadcast Radio Frequency
- Press " " key 3 times; LCD will display FM Radio Frequency.
- Press and hold " " or " " key to scan FM radio frequency. It will stop when it finds a
FM radio channel. The LCD will display the frequency and you can listen to the FM radio.
You can continue to scan for the FM radio frequency you preferred.
Select Receiving Volume in Broadcast Mode
Press Key once (in Broadcast mode, this key toggles between Frequency setting and
Volume Setting)
Press " " or " " to adjust the volume when listening to FM radio.
Press Key again to exit volume setting and to return back to frequency setting mode.
Priority of PMR 446 during Broadcast Mode
Even when your radio is in broadcast mode, the radio still monitors the PMR 446
frequency range for received calls or signals. If an incoming PMR 446 signal is detected,
the unit will automatically switch to PMR mode & you can listen to the PMR446
transmissions.
If you do not press PTT to answer, the unit will auto switch back to FM broadcast radio
mode after the PMR 446 transmission finished.
If you press PTT key to transmit, the unit will exit the FM broadcast radio mode & stay on
PMR446 mode now.
After finishing PMR communication, you can press " " times again to re-enter the FM
broadcast mode again. The unit will then receive on the last FM broadcast radio frequency
you had selected before.
Call Tone
You can use Call Tones (melodies) to get the attention of other people with radios on the
same channel and CTCSS tone. You can also use Call Tones as the signal of the start or
end of a transmission.
Press " " key, LCD displays icon and your call tone will be transmitted to nearby
receivers set at the same channel.

Scrambler Function
You can enjoy privacy to talk within your group by selecting the same scrambler setting as
your group member does. There are 4 different scrambler settings available)
Press " " Key 5 times, LCD display icon. Press or " " Key to select a scrambler
setting from 1 to 4, OF means normal function = scrambler off.
Press PTT to confirm and quit. After turning on scrambler function, LCD will display icon.
Please make sure that all other group members of Your PMR network PMR use the
scrambler function with the same setting. It is normal, that all users must use the same
radio model, because different manufacturers may use different scrambling methods,
which are not compatible.
VOX (Hands-Free Function)
The unit has a built-in Voice Activated Circuit (VOX) function. You can enjoy talking and
listening without pressing PTT Key. You can use this function preferably with an external
earphone (please note that the selected earphone must be suitable for VOX operation).
To turn on VOX function
Press " " key six times, LCD displays the icon and the VOX sensitivity digit display
will flash. Press" " or " " key to select of, 1, 2, 3 for OFF, Low, Medium & High
Sensitivity. After turning on VOX, LCD will display icon , press PTT to confirm and quit.
You can plug in the earphone for hands-free talking & listening. Please speak close to the
mic in order to activate VOX function. Make sure that the earphone is set to VOX mode (if
equipped with a switch) before it is plugged in!
Stop Watch
Press " " Key 7 times, LCD displays:
Press or " " Key to start and press or " " Key to stop.
And then press Key to reset.
Lap Time
To get a lap time, press or " " Key to start Press Key, it will stop to show the
lap time while stop watch is running. Then press Key Lock Key again to switch back to stop
watch mode and show the running time.
Press or " " Key to stop and press Key to reset.
Press " Key 4 times to exit.
Baby Monitor
This function can be used not only to monitor babies or handicapped persons, but as well
for acoustical monitoring of rooms. The function issimilar to VOX operation, but is
especially adjusted for baby and sound monitoring. One radio is set to baby monitor mode,
and another radio remains in normal mode and is used to receive the transmissions of the
babys unit. To activate one radio as Baby Monitor:
Press " " Key 8 times, LCD display will show the Baby icon. Press or " Key
to monitor sensitivity level from 1 to 3 (low to high level), OF is turn OFF this function.
Press PTT to confirm and quit. After turn on this function, LCD displays the Baby icon.

Roger Beep (ON/OFF)
The Roger Beep function enables a short tone signal which is transmitted after releasing
the PTT button. Press " " Key 9 times, the LCD will display Roger.
Press or " " Key to turn on (display shows icon) or turn off (display shows icon)
Press PTT to confirm and quit. After turning on Roger beep, LCD will display the RGR icon.
Auto Power Off (APO)
This function may help to save battery energy in case that You should forget to switch off a
radio after use. Press " " Key 10 times, LCD displays icon . Press or " "
Key to select auto power off time from 0 to 12 hours. Press PTT button to confirm and quit.
Or press " " Key once to quit. After turning on this function, LCD will display the icon
and will automatically turn off the radio at designated time.
Scanning Channels
Press Key, LCD displays icon . It will start to scan all channels automatically.
Note: If you press and hold the button longer than 2 seconds, it will break the squelch
noise and listen to the current channel. The unit scans all channels one by one. It will stay
on the occupied channel. Press or " " Key to continue scanning. If there is no
signal, it will continue to scan. Press the PTT key and it will stay on the scanned channel
and quit scan function.
Key Lock
Press and hold key for 1.5 seconds, LCD displays the icon . All keys are locked
except the PTT and " " keys. To unlock, press and hold " " key for 1.5 seconds
again. In FM broadcast mode, this key works as toggle switch between the frequency
setting and the volume setting, too.

Puesta en marcha

Instalacin de la batera
Uso de la batera recargable de iones de litio

Advertencia:
Al invertir la polaridad de la batera se pueden daar la unidad y la batera.
Si no usar la unidad por un largo periodo de tiempo, como por ejemplo, varias semanas,

Utilizacin de pilas alcalinas
Puede utilizar pilas normales de formato LR03 (AAA) mediante la caja de pilas 3A
disponible en opcin:
Respetando las polaridades +/- indicadas, coloque 3 pilas alcalinas de formato LR03
(AAA) en la caja de pilas 3A (caja gruesa).
lApague el emisor-receptor de radio, y luego retire la tapa de la batera delgada as como
la batera Li-ION.
lEnclave el extremo superior de la caja de pilas 3A en el alojamiento y pulse el pestillo de

Recarga de la batera
Cuando la pantalla de cristal lquido presente que el nivel de batera es bajo, debe
recargar la batera con el adaptador CA/CC incluido o con el cargador de escritorio. La
batera contiene un circuito interno limitador de la corriente de carga. Cuando la batera
est totalmente cargada, el circuito cortar automticamente la corriente de carga para
proteger a la batera.
Carga con un adaptador CA/CC
-Inserte el adaptador en el tomacorrientes y el otro extremo en el conector del audfono.
-La unidad se apagar automticamente, se encender la luz posterior de la pantalla de
cristal lquido en ROJO y no aparecer nada ms en la pantalla.
-El tiempo de carga es de alrededor de 4 horas. Una vez completamente cargado, la luz
posterior de la pantalla cambiar a verde.
Durante la carga, la unidad se calentar ligeramente.
Carga con el cargador de escritorio
Conecte el adaptador al cargador de escritorio Coloque la unidad en el cargador.
Durante la carga, el diodo luminoso ROJO en el cargador se encender y la unidad se
encender. El tiempo de carga es de alrededor de 6 horas. Una vez que se cargue
completamente el diodo luminoso en el cargador cambiar a verde. Retire la radio para
detener la carga.
Advertencia: Para evitar el dao de la unidad, slo utilice accesorios originales.

Uso de la parte de radio PMR446 para la comunicacin
La unidad posee 8 canales principales y 38 cdigos CTCSS. Usted se puede comunicar

Llamada a otras radios

pulse primero para cambiar el ajuste del volumen.
Funcin de espera de TX
La funcin de espera de TX puede evitar la transmisin accidental y prolongar la vida de la
batera. La unidad se detendr de transmitir y sonar un tono de advertencia cuando la
tecla PTT se pulse por ms de 60 segundos. Usted necesitar entonces liberar la tecla

Para ajustar el canal de operacin del PMR 446

Funcin cdigo CTCSS
Esta funcin le puede auxiliar a identificar al grupo de usuarios en el mismo canal. Slo
los usuarios con el mismo ajuste en el cdigo CTCSS podrn escuchar y hablar entre s,
de manera que el modo CTCSS es como un subcdigo para su cerrado grupo de

En la comunicacin por radio, cualquier radio PMR 446 puede escuchar todas las

Para seleccionar un cdigo CTCSS

Recepcin de radio FM
Se puede escuchar la radio FM con el altavoz o con el audfono.
Seleccin de la frecuencia de recepcin de radio FM
Pulse la tecla " " tres veces. La pantalla presentar la frecuencia de radio FM.
Pulse y sostenga las teclas " "o" " para explorar las frecuencias de radio FM.
La exploracin se detendr cuando encuentre un canal de radio FM. La pantalla
presentar la frecuencia y usted puede escuchar la radio FM. Puede continuar buscando
la frecuencia de radio FM de su preferencia.
Seleccin del volumen de recepcin en el modo de recepcin
Pulse la tecla una vez (en el modo de recepcin, esta tecla cambia entre los ajustes de
frecuencia y de volumen). Pulse las teclas " "o" " para regular el volumen al
escuchar la radio FM. Pulse nuevamente la tecla para abandonar la regulacin
del volumen y regresar al modo de seleccin de frecuencia.
Prioridad del PMR 446 durante el modo de recepcin
An cuando su radio se encuentre operando en el modo de recepcin, continuar todava
recorriendo el rango de frecuencias del PMR 446 buscando llamadas o seales recibidas.
Si se detecta una seal PMR 446 entrante, la unidad automticamente se cambiar al
modo PMR y usted podr escuchar las transmisiones PMR 446. Si usted no pulsa la tecla
PTT para responder, la unidad automticamente regresar al modo de recepcin de radio
de FM al concluir la transmisin PMR 446. Si usted pulsa la tecla PTT para transmitir, la
unidad abandonar el modo de recepcin de radio y permanecer ahora en el modo
PMR446. Tras concluir la comunicacin PMR usted puede pulsar " " varias veces
nuevamente para volver a entrar nuevamente al modo de recepcin de FM. La unidad
entonces recibir en la ltima frecuencia de recepcin de radio FM que usted haya
seleccionado con anterioridad.
Tono de llamada
Usted puede utilizar tonos de llamada (melodas) para llamar la atencin de otras
personas con radios en el mismo canal y tono CTCSS. Usted tambin puede utilizar tonos
de llamada como seal del inicio o terminacin de una transmisin.
Pulse la tecla " ", la pantalla presentar el icono y su tono de llamada se transmitir
a los receptores cercanos que operen en el mismo canal.
Seleccin del tono de llamada
Pulse la tecla " " cuatro veces, la pantalla presentar el icono y el nmero del
tono de llamada estar intermitente. Pulse las teclas " "," " para seleccionar el tono
de llamada deseado. Pulse la tecla PTT para confirmar y salir.

Funcin aleatorizadora:
Usted puede gozar de privacidad para hablar con su grupo al seleccionar la misma funcin
aleatorizadora que se halla elegido para los miembros de su grupo. Existen cuatro
diferentes ajustes de aleatoriedad disponibles. Pulse la tecla " " cinco veces, la pantalla
presentar el icono .Pulse las teclas para seleccionar o" " seleccionar un
ajuste de aleatoriedad del 1 al 4. OF representa la funcin normal, es decir aleatoriedad
desactivada. Pulse la tecla PTT para confirmar y salir. O bien pulse la tecla " " una sola
vez, lo que confirmar la ltima seleccin y le permitir pasar a la siguiente seleccin de
funcin. Tras activar la funcin aleatorizadora, la pantalla presentar el icono .
Asegrese de que todos los otros miembros del grupo en su red PMR usen la funcin
aleatorizadora con el mismo ajuste. Es normal que todos los usuarios deban usar el
mismo modelo de radio debido a que fabricantes diferentes puedan emplear diferentes
mtodos de aleatorizacin, que pueden no ser compatibles.

VOX (Funcin manos libres)

La unidad posee una funcin integrada de circuito activado por voz (VOX). Usted puede
gozar al hablar y escuchar sin pulsar la tecla PTT. Usted puede usar esta funcin
preferiblemente con una audfono externo (favor de advertir que el audfono seleccionado
debe ser adecuado para la operacin VOX).
Para activar la funcin VOX:
Pulse la tecla " " seis veces, la pantalla de cristal lquido presenta el icono y la
pantalla digital con la sensitividad de la funcin VOX se ver intermitentemente.
Pulse la teclas " "o" " para seleccionar entre 1, 2, 3 para DESACTIVADA, baja,
media o alta sensitividad. Tras activar la funcin VOX, la pantalla presentar el icono .
Pulse la tecla PTT para confirmar y salir.
Puede conectar el audfono para hablar y escuchar sin utilizar las manos. Favor de hablar
cerca del micrfono con objeto de activar la funcin VOX. Asegrese de que el audfono
est en la posicin del modo VOX antes de insertarlo!
Cronmetro
Pulse la tecla " " siete veces, en la pantalla aparecer:
Pulse las teclas o" " para iniciar y nuevamente o" " para detener.
Luego pulse la tecla para restablecer el reloj.
Tiempo de vuelta
Para obtener el tiempo de una vuelta pulse las teclas o " " para iniciar.
Pulse la tecla , se detendr para mostrar el tiempo de la vuelta mientras el
cronmetro est corriendo. Luego pulse la tecla de bloqueo nuevamente para regresar al
modo de cronmetro y aparecer el tiempo transcurriendo. Pulse las teclas o " "
para detener y nuevamente para restablecer.
Pulse la tecla " " cuatro veces para salir.

Monitor de beb
Esta funcin se puede usar no slo para supervisar a los bebs o a las personas con
discapacidades sino tambin para la supervisin acstica de recintos. La funcin es similar
a la operacin VOX, pero es especialmente adaptada para la supervisin de bebs y
sonidos. Una radio se deja en el modo monitor de beb y otra radio permanece en modo
normal y se usa para recibir las transmisiones de la unidad del beb.
Para activar una radio como monitor de beb: Pulse la tecla " " ocho veces, la pantalla
presentar el icono Baby. Pulse las teclas o" " para modificar el nivel de
sensibilidad del monitor de 1 a 4 (del nivel bajo al alto), OF equivale a desactivar esta
funcin. Pulse la tecla PTT para confirmar y salir. Tras activar esta funcin, la pantalla de
cristal lquido presentar el icono Baby.
Zumbido Roger (Activar y desactivar)
La funcin Zumbido Roger permite una seal con un tono corto que se transmite tras
liberar el botn PTT. Pulse la tecla " " nueve veces, en la pantalla se leer Roger.
Pulse las teclas o " " para activar (la pantalla presenta el icono ON ) o desactivar
(la pantalla presenta el icono OF). Pulse la tecla PTT para confirmar y salir.
Tras activar el zumbido Roger, la pantalla presentar el iconoRGR.
Autoapagado (APO)
Esta funcin puede auxiliar a ahorrar energa de la batera en caso de que usted haya
olvidado apagar una radio despus de usarla. Pulse la tecla " " diez veces, la pantalla
presentar el icono . Pulse las teclas para seleccionar o " " seleccionar el tiempo
para el apagado desde 0 hasta 12 horas. Pulse la tecla PTT para confirmar y salir. O bien
pulse la tecla " " una sola vez para salir. Tras activar esta funcin, la pantalla
presentar el icono y automticamente apagar la radio al tiempo designado.
Exploracin de canales
Pulse la tecla " ", la pantalla presentar el icono . Con esto se iniciar la exploracin
de todos los canales automticamente.
Nota: Si usted pulsa y mantiene pulsado el botn por ms de 2 segundos, se romper el
ruido del silenciador y se escuchar el canal actual.
La unidad explora todos los canales uno por uno. Permanecer en el canal ocupado.
Oprima las teclas o " " para continuar la exploracin.
Si no hay seal, continuar la exploracin.
Pulse la tecla PTT y permanecer en el canal explorado y saldr de la funcin de
exploracin.
Bloqueo del teclado
Pulse y sostenga la tecla durante 1.5 segundos, la pantalla presentar el icono .
Todas las teclas se bloquean excepto las teclas PTT y " ". Para desbloquear, pulse y
sostenga nuevamente la tecla " " durante 1.5 segundos. En el modo de recepcin de
FM, esta tecla opera como un conmutador entre el ajuste de la frecuencia y el ajuste del
volumen, tambin.
Eliminacin y reciclado de deshechos electrnicos
Esta radio PMR 446 se ha producido de acuerdo con la directiva europea RoHS y no
contiene determinadas substancias peligrosas prohibidas. Favor de eliminar los
artculos electrnicos defectuosos y no utilizables a travs de los puntos de recoleccin
oficialmente autorizados. La nueva directiva europea WEEE impide eliminar artculos
electrnicas va la basura domstica. Por favor contribuya al reciclado eficiente de los
artculos electrnicos usados!
