collectionneur de divers artefacts au symbolisme mystique,

certains provenant d'Orient. Son tout premier artefact était
une petite statue de Sekhmet . En 1921, il contribue
financièrement aux fouilles archéologiques de Tel el
Amarna (Akhetaton, la capitale du pharaon Akhénaton de la
XVIIIe dynastie ) de l'Egypt Explorations Society de Boston
en recevant des dons des membres de l'AMORC. En
échange, l'Egypt Explorations Society a fait don de
plusieurs antiquités égyptiennes à l'AMORC.

En 1928, il présente au public une collection intitulée «

Musée oriental égyptien rosicrucien », située dans les
bâtiments administratifs de l'AMORC à San Jose, en
Californie . Apparemment, l'emplacement de San Jose a été
choisi en raison du prix abordable du terrain à l'époque. [1]
Après la tournée de Lewis en Égypte en 1929, l'AMORC
reçut beaucoup plus d'objets et de dons et, par
conséquent, la collection s'agrandit considérablement,
avec plus de 2 000 expositions.

Le deuxième empereur de l'AMORC, Ralph Maxwell Lewis ,

fils de H. Spencer Lewis, construisit de nouveaux bâtiments
pour le musée, qui ouvrit ses portes en novembre 1966. [3]

égyptiennes anciennes dans l'ouest des États-Unis. [2]
Il s'agit du seul musée de ce type au monde doté de
bâtiments construits dans le style architectural de
l'Égypte ancienne.
Ayant un planétarium spécialement construit à côté du
musée, le cinquième a ouvert ses portes aux États-
Unis et le premier avec un projecteur d'étoiles
construit dans le pays, construit par H. Spencer Lewis.
Avoir ses bâtiments situés dans un parc néo-égyptien .

En 1995, Julie Scott, MA, SRC, qui est rosicrucienne

pratiquante, [1] est devenue directrice du Musée égyptien
rosicrucien.

En 2017, le musée revendiquait 110 000 visiteurs par an,

dont 26 000 élèves de sixième. Le bâtiment est également
utilisé par les Rose-Croix pour la méditation et les
discussions de groupe. [1] En 2018, le musée est devenu un
bâtiment zéro énergie . [4]

Expositions
Une activité notable a eu lieu en 1999 lorsque le Musée
égyptien rosicrucien a inauguré l'exposition itinérante «
Femmes du Nil », accompagnée de nombreuses
conférences. Les « Femmes du Nil » ont voyagé à travers
les États-Unis d'Amérique et le Canada et ont continué
jusqu'en 2001. En 2000-2002, une figure en pierre de
Cléopâtre VII de la collection a été exposée à Rome,
Londres et Chicago dans des expositions similaires.

The Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum's child mummy traveled

to Stanford University in nearby Palo Alto on May 6, 2005
to be studied under CT scans and other high-resolution
methods of remote sensing, in a collaboration between the
museum, Silicon Graphics, and Stanford University Hospital
and the NASA Biocomputational Lab. The results were
released at the 75th Anniversary of the Museum on August
6, 2005, with detailed scans.[5] One of the scanning
images won the Science and Engineering Visualization
Challenge 2006 co-sponsored by the National Science
Foundation and Science.[6] In November 2017, x-ray
images of the mummy were released that provide a 3D
visualization of the girl's remains.[7]

A statue of Taweret, the ancient Egyptian hippopotamus-

like goddess of pregnant women and childbirth, once stood
at the entrance, but has been moved to the side. Since
2004, the Museum has been completely renovated, with

Baboon mummy. There is in fact no baboon inside, the

mummy is formed around a ceramic jar.

The museum also holds a 1.5 million year old stone hand
ax, but it is not exhibited to the public.[8]

The Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum contains a composite

replica of an ancient Egyptian rock-cut tomb, based on
photos and sketches taken by Rosicrucian expeditions to
tombs at Beni Hasan, in order to give the guests the
experience of being in such an excavation. Below are
photographs of the interior of the replica tomb, largely
containing scenes from the Book of the Dead. The dark
interior of the tomb replica is evident.

Beginning in 2015, for the 100th Anniversary of the
incorporation of AMORC in America, which owns and
operates the Museum, the museum's Rotating Exhibits
Gallery became The Rosicrucian Alchemy Exhibit. The
highlights of the collection were put on display in this
exhibit.

This exhibit, curated by the alchemist Dennis William

Hauck, features a journey through the seven stages of the
alchemical process, a meditation chamber featuring the
Azoth of the Philosophers and a recorded guided
meditation, and a full-size reproduction of an alchemistʼs
workshop. There is also a reproduction of the Ripley Scroll
with illustrative commentary.

The Exhibit forms the kernel of what will be the first

alchemy museum in the United States, and the largest in
the world. It will be housed in the present "Rose-Croix
University International" building at Rosicrucian Park. The
RCUI Building also contains a working alchemy lab.
