❖ Plural des noms (plural of nouns)

In French, all nouns have gender i.e. they are either masculine or feminine.
✓ Genarally, plural of the noun is formed by adding -s to the singular form.
Ex: un crayon des crayons
une fille des filles
✓ Nouns that are already ending in -s, -x, -z in the singular form remain the same in the plural form or
we can say they do not change in the plural form.
Ex: un bas des bas
un croix des croix
un nez des nez
✓ Nouns ending in -eau, -eu, and -ou in the singular form are made plural by adding -x to the singular
form.
Ex: un gateau des gateaux
un feu des feux
un bijou des bijoux
