En 1768,enfin, mûpardes considérations géométriques au sujet
de l'incongruence d'objetssymétriques, Kant se déclare résolu-

Il pourraitsemblerqu'étantarrivés là, nous sommes encore
bienloindela doctrine idéaliste,tellequ'elleestdéveloppéedans
la Dissertation inaugurale.Mais,en réalité,il n'en estpas ainsi.
Car,pour ce qui concernele contenu,c'est-à-dire,abstraction
faitede la questionde savoir s'il fautattribuer à l'espaceune
significationobjective ou seulement la
subjective, conception de
l'espace tellequ'elle est développée dans l'essai de 1768 est, dans
ses traitsfondamentaux, la mêineque cellede l'écritde 1770.Et
c'estdans ce sens que nouspouvons considérer le premierde
ces écritscommepréparant directement le second.
