INTRODUCTION
La formation de Bachelier en Management du Tourisme et des Loisirs a pour mission de préparer les
étudiants à être des citoyens actifs dans une société démocratique. Elle concourt à l’épanouissement
personnel et au développement de l’esprit critique via l’insertion professionnelle et sociale dans le
respect de la diversité des cultures.
Le Bachelier en Management du Tourisme et des Loisirs occupe un poste à responsabilités dans toute
structure touristique ou liée aux activités touristiques et de loisirs. De plus, grâce à sa formation
polyvalente, il exerce une fonction de conception, de coordination, de conseil et d’encadrement dans
tout type d’entreprise ou d’organisation.
La formation à l’ISALT met l’accent sur une recherche d’excellence à travers l’équilibre entre cours et
activités pratiques professionnalisantes sur le terrain. Le souci d’un travail de qualité tant individuel
qu’en équipe vécu dans un esprit de collaboration et de tolérance caractérise l’encadrement
pédagogique de proximité de l’ISALT.
Au terme de sa formation à l’ISALT, le Bachelier en Management du Tourisme et des Loisirs doit être
capable de :
a) s’adapter à son milieu professionnel en faisant preuve d’une grande polyvalence et de
bonnes pratiques éthiques, déontologiques et comportementales dans le respect de la culture
d’entreprise ;
b) adopter un comportement adéquat en lien avec sa fonction : fiabilité, implication,
flexibilité, esprit d’équipe, sens des priorités, résistance au stress... ;
c) adopter une approche responsable, critique et réflexive pour évaluer sa pratique afin de
se former et de construire son projet professionnel ;
d) communiquer oralement et par écrit en plusieurs langues dans un contexte international
et multiculturel, tant à l’interne qu’à l’externe de l’organisation (prestataires,
clients, partenaires…) ;
e) accueillir et accompagner la clientèle en exerçant des compétences d’écoute, d’empathie,
d’analyse et de persuasion ;
f) mobiliser les savoirs et savoir-faire liés aux domaines économiques, juridiques,
géographiques, humains et sociaux spécifiques à ses activités : connaissance du
patrimoine matériel et immatériel, des ressources touristiques et des acteurs qui les
gèrent ;
g) utiliser de manière optimale les technologies et outils informatiques, dont ceux
spécifiques au secteur touristique, et s’adapter à leur évolution ;

h) concevoir, gérer, encadrer, développer et promouvoir des produits et services
touristiques ou de loisirs à l’échelle locale, régionale, nationale et internationale en tenant compte
du contexte socio-politique ;
i) rechercher, analyser et traiter les informations nécessaires et pertinentes ainsi que les
facteurs déterminants pour le succès de ses missions, en lien avec la culture et les stratégies
des milieux professionnels dans lesquels il évolue ;
j) Intégrer les dimensions culturelles, sociales et environnementales dans ses pratiques et
réflexions professionnelles ;
k) établir une fonction de veille par rapport à ses missions et s’adapter au changement
dans un souci d’amélioration de la qualité des produits et services prestés ;
l) structurer, planifier, coordonner et gérer de manière rigoureuse les actions et les tâches
liées à sa mission, que ce soit en équipe ET de manière autonome.
INLEIDING
De missie van de bacheloropleiding Toerisme en Vrijetijdsmanagement is om studenten voor te
bereiden op actief burgerschap in een democratische samenleving. Het draagt bij tot persoonlijke
ontwikkeling en de ontwikkeling van kritisch denken door professionele en sociale integratie met
respect voor de culturele diversiteit.
De Bachelor in Toerisme en Vrijetijdsmanagement bekleedt een verantwoordelijke positie in elke
structuur die verband houdt met toerisme of toerisme en vrije tijd. Bovendien, dankzij zijn opleiding,
kan hij/zij een functie vervullen van conceptie, coördinatie, advies en in elk type bedrijf of organisatie.
De opleiding bij ISALT legt de nadruk op het streven naar uitmuntendheid door een evenwicht tussen
cursussen en praktische en professionele activiteiten in het veld. De zorg voor kwalitatief werk, zowel
individueel als in teamverband. Teamwerk in een geest van samenwerking en tolerantie kenmerkt het
pedagogisch toezicht van ISALT.

INTRODUCTION
The training of Bachelor in Tourism and Leisure Management has the mission to prepare the students
to be active citizens in a democratic society. It contributes to the personal development and the
development of critical thinking through professional and social integration with respect for the
diversity of cultures.
The Bachelor student in Tourism and Leisure Management holds a position of responsibility in every
branch related to tourism and leisure activities. Moreover, thanks to the training, they occupy a
function of design, coordination, advice and management in any type of company or organisation.
ISALT training emphasizes a search for excellence through the balance between courses and
professional practical activities in the field. The proximal, pedagogical supervision of ISALT is

characterized by a concern for quality work, both on an individual level as on a team level which is
experienced in a spirit of collaboration and tolerance.
At the end of their training at ISALT, the Bachelor student in Tourism and Leisure Management must
be capable of:
(a) adapt to their professional environment by being highly versatile and through good
ethical, deontological and behavioural practices with respect for the corporate culture;
(c) adopt a responsible, critical and reflective approach to assess their practice in order to
train and build their professional project;
e) welcome and accompany clients by exercising listening and empathy skills, as well
as analytical and persuasive skills;
g) make optimal use of IT technologies and tools, including specific ones in the tourism
sector, and adapt to their evolution;
h) design, manage, coach, develop and promote tourism products and services, on local,
regional, national, and international levels, by taking into account the socio-political context;
i) research, analyze and process necessary and relevant information and factors
determining the success of their missions, in relation to the culture and strategies of the
professional environments in which they operate;
j) integrate cultural, social and environmental dimensions into their practices and
professional reflections;
k) establish a monitoring function in relation to their missions and adapt to change with a
view to improving the quality of the products and services provided;
l) Structure, plan, coordinate and rigorously manage actions and tasks linked to their
mission, as a team AND autonomously.
