COURSEWORK
INTRODUCTION
There will be three (3) tasks for this semester. Assessment criteria are explained in the coursework brief. The
final date for submission of the tasks will be determined by the lecturer. The carry mark for these coursework is
50%. The distribution of the carry marks as follow:

ASSESSMENT
1. Marks will be awarded based on coursework marking scheme.
2. Students are required to prepare their own reading and analysis and not to copy from others. Originality of
work will be an added advantage to the group.

DUE DATES
Due dates of every task will be determined by the lecturer.

LATE SUBMISSIONS
Coursework must be handed in by the due date and time. Any submission after the due date will be deemed late.
Late submission will not be marked and will be given a FAIL grade.

PLAGIARISM
Plagiarism in any form is not permitted. The use of another person’s work or ideas must be acknowledged.
Where this is suspected, the students will be penalised.

TASK 1 - PROPERTY MARKET

Coursework objectives:
 To discuss online (via i-learn V3) the related current government policies regarding the Malaysia
property market especially in housing segment.

Coursework brief:
You will be given five (5) topics on government policies that related to property market. All the topics will be
uploaded through i-learn application where you need to discuss online.

5 topics x 40 marks = 200 marks (reduce to 15 marks)

TASK 2 - DEVELOPMENT FINANCE

Coursework Objectives:
 To prepare case study analysis on various sources and methods of finance available in the construction
industry.

Coursework Brief:
You are required to conduct a data collection from one (1) selected contractor and discuss on the following
requirements:
1. Discuss at least three (3) finance facilities normally used to complete the project.
2. Produce a written report based on the marking scheme.

TASK 3 - FEASIBILITY STUDY

Coursework Objectives:
 To prepare a document of a cash flow projection as a part of feasibility study exercise for construction
project.

Coursework Brief:
You are required to prepare a cash flow projection of a feasibility study for the following project:
