J'me vengerai
!

Chaos Rewards
Mortal characters may buy Chaos Rewards as well as or instead of magic items. The points
cost of Chaos Rewards adds to the cost of the magic items chosen for the character and is
limited by the maximum amount of points the character can spend on magic items. Rewards
marked with an asterisk (*) may be taken more than once by the same model with cumulative
effects. The same Reward may be bought for different models in the army. Note that Chaos
Rewards are not magic items and are not affected by things which affect magic items.
There is a price to pay for such blessings of the gods, however - if a champion is rewarded too
much, there is a chance he will become a mindless spawn. For each Reward above the Drst
that a character has roll a D6 before deployment. If any dice scores a 1 then he has become
Spawn, replace your character with a Chaos Spawn as described in the Hordes of Chaos
book. If your character had a mark of chaos then the Spawn has that god's ability (eg if he had
the mark of Tzeentch then the character will become a Firewyrm).
All magic items are lost but all of the character's Chaos Rewards will affect the new Spawn.
The Rewards refer to the Champion who has the Reward. This is a generic term and includes
all mortal characters.
