🖎 Rôle: Conformément aux orientations stratégiques, à la politique et aux objectifs de SoBAA, la
mission de l'Ingénieur en Irrigation (Développement) est de concevoir et assurer l'installation d'un
système opérationnel de réseau d'irrigation et de drains. Il (elle) doit soutenir l'équipe de
d’arpenteurs-topographes dans la collecte et l'analyse des données. Il (elle) élabore des
estimations de coûts et soutient les études d'impact environnemental. Il (elle) est aussi activement
impliqué dans la construction de toutes les infrastructures de rétention d'eau et toutes autres
infrastructures liées à l'irrigation sur le site. Il (elle) doit également établir une relation de travail
étroite avec les cadres supérieurs et autres membres du personnel non-cadre.

● Concevoir le champ d'application des travaux pour tous les projets d'irrigation.

résolutions de problèmes
● Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les arpenteurs-géomètres dans la collecte et l'analyse
des données

Profil du candidat

● Une Licence (Master préféré) en génie agricole, génie civil, génie des ressources en eau ou
dans un domaine similaire est requise. Des diplômes avancés ou des certifications en
conception de système d’irrigation, gestion de l'eau ou hydrologie peuvent être un avantage
● Minimum de 5 ans d'expérience dans la conception, l'installation et la maintenance de
systèmes d'irrigation ou dans des projets agricoles impliquant l'irrigation
● Maîtrise des techniques de conception et d'installation de systèmes d'irrigation
● Connaissance des différentes méthodes d'irrigation, telles que l'irrigation goutte à goutte, les
systèmes d'aspersion et l'irrigation par lay-flat
● Familiarité avec les logiciels et outils d'irrigation pour la conception et l'analyse des systèmes.
● Compréhension de l'hydrologie, de la science des sols et des principes de conservation de
l'eau
● Capacité à interpréter des dessins techniques, des schémas et des plans
● Excellente précision et souci du détail
● Excellentes capacités d'analyse et de reporting

1. Job Title: IRRIGATION ENGINEER (Development)

🖎 Role: In compliance with the strategic orientations, policy and objectives of SoBAA, the Irrigation
Engineer (Development) mission is to design and ensure installation of an operational irrigation
and drainage network system. He (she) must support topography survey team in data collection
and analysis. He (She) develops cost estimates and supports environmental impact studies. He
(She) is also actively involved in construction of all water retention and other irrigation related
infrastructures on the job site. He (She) must also form a close working relationship with senior
managers and other non-managerial staff.

Key Performance Matrices:

● To design scope of works for all irrigation projects


● To design irrigation and drainage network system
● Preparation /comparison/evaluation of work estimates
● To work closely with contractors to ensure execution of works strictly follow the approved
scope of works and recommended standards
● To work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of resources

Candidate Profile

● A bachelor's (Masters preferred) degree in agricultural engineering, civil engineering, water


resources engineering, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in
irrigation design, water management, or hydrology can be advantageous
● Minimum of 5 years of experience working in irrigation system design, installation, and
maintenance or any agricultural projects involving irrigation
● Proficiency in irrigation system design and installation techniques
● Knowledge of various irrigation methods, such as drip irrigation, sprinkler systems, and lay-flat
irrigation
● Familiarity with irrigation software and tools for system design and analysis
● Understanding of hydrology, soil science, and water conservation principles
● Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
● Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
● Excellent analytical and reporting abilities
● Ability to work well in a team environment
● Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of company information

mission du Coordinateur de projet est d'assister le Directeur du développement agricole dans
l'identification de groupes d'ONG appropriés et d'exécuter la formation de groupes/coopératives de
fermiers par village conformément à la réglementation de l'OHADA. Il (Elle) est responsable
d'atteindre les objectifs fixés de plantation. Il (Elle) surveillera également de près les activités de
développement des terres et d'installation d'irrigation. Il (Elle) doit également établir une relation de
travail étroite avec les cadres supérieurs et autres membres du personnel non-cadre.

Coordinator mission is to assist the Director of Agriculture Development in identification of suitable
NGO groups and execute the formation of village wise Farmer Groups/Cooperatives as per
OHADA regulations. He (She) is responsible to achieve the given targets of planting. He (She) will
also closely monitor land development and irrigation installation activities. He (She) must also form
a close working relationship with senior managers and other non-managerial staff.

Key Performance Matrices:

● Continuous monitoring and formation of farmer Groups/Cooperatives


● Ensure land development is carried out as per scope of work and standards recommended
● Ensure irrigation infrastructure installation and commissioning is done as per scope of work
and standards recommended

HSE OFFICER GAS DISTRIBUTION
Key Accountabilities
PURPOSE AND MISSIONS

● Responsible to ensure overall safety on site


● Development of a Project Safety Plan in compliance with the project safety requirements
as well as Beninese regulations
● Identification of Occupational Safety and Health Hazards and proposal of mitigation
measures
● Regular job site inspections and safety briefings for the workforce
● Implementation and control of job site safety programs
● Organization of routine training to apply good sense and safety practices
● Preparation of Daily Safety Reports - Near miss, non-compliance, best practices

COMPLIANCE AND REGULATORY

● Implement corporate HSE systems and ensure business comply with E&S Policies
● Monitor the effectiveness of implementation of ESMP (Policies, Process, Procedures and
Guides) and provide for their updating in line with changes in laws, regulations, and
corporate directives
● Identify compliance gaps and ensure closings actions

HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT

● Ensure HSE management system in place as per the standards, for the construction and
the operation,
● Developing adequate documentation (plans, policies, procedures, and form) to support
HSE management system
● Ensure environment protection is considered within the decision-making, and
environmental impacts are mitigated
● Develop Emergency Response Plan appropriate to the scale of operation, and
implement necessary tools to respond to an emergency
● Ensure the effectiveness of ERP through regular mock drills
● Develop H&S monitoring plan as per local law and others chosen standards and
implement a due system of inspections
● Define and report relevant HSE ’Key Performance Indicators for the BU
● Train the staff and ensure the safety culture increase

Minimum Qualifications
● Diploma / Polytechnic (in Safety, HSE course)

● Experience of 3-5 years as a safety officer on construction site / Oil/ gas / chemical

company

● Candidate must have HS certificate (OSHA / NEBOH /HSE / Locally trained certification

● Any other Oil & Gas training certificate is an advantage

● Knowledge of various safety regulations and protocols for working on construction site

and oil and gas company

● Ability to attend to emergencies

● Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team

● Problem-solving, strategic thinking, planning, and organizing

● Friendly and professional, excellent communication skills with ability to communicate in

English and French

Key Accountabilities
● Overseeing the staff recruitment process
● Ensure the on- and off-boarding process of local and expatriate employees
