SUMMARY
The production of embryos in vitro (PIV) is one aspect of the control of reproduction, this
technique allows the production of embryos outside the genital tract depends on 4 stages: the
collection of oocytes, the maturation in
vitro (IVM), in vitro fertilization (IVF) and embryo culture.
This study focuses on one of these steps, namely, oocyte maturation in vitro (IVM), a process
involving in vitro culture of the oocyte, allowing it to achieve complete nuclear maturation and
cytoplasmic essential at fertilization and production of viable embryos. We are interested in the
onset of maturation in the first instance, then the effect of the addition of hCG in the medium on the
rate of expansion of the cumulus.
The overall maturation rate was 57.02%, powered by environmental enrichment in hCG to
reach 63.64% of matured oocytes.
The results clearly demonstrate the importance of environmental enrichment culture in the
success of oocyte maturation in vitro.
