This measure was created in response

ATQ to Aaron T. Beck’s hypothesis that thinking
in depressed populations tends to be
negative.
 Negative Automatic Thoughts
• Negative automatic thoughts (NATs) ialah
pemikiran luar kawalan yang aktif pada
masa tertentu.
• Dalam depresi, NATs berfikiran negative,
self-esteem rendah dan uselessness.
• Sebagai contoh , pemikiran NAT may be
‘I’m going to fail’.
• Dalam anxiety disorder, automatic
thoughts sering dikaitkan dengan
pemikiran overestimation tentang risiko
dan memandang rendah terhadap
keupayaan untuk kemahiran coping.
 Senarai pernyataan yang ada dalam
pemikiran seseorang dalam tempoh
seminggu.
