RESUME
ABSTRACT
The Feldstein-Horioka paradox is an empirical regularity that challenges the validity of the
perfect capital mobility assumption. We study the correlation between domestic saving and
investment as postulated by Feldstein and Horioka in the framework of Cote-d’Ivoire over the
period 1965-2020. The study investigates the long-term relationship as well the short-term
dynamic through an error correction model.
The result show that investment and saving are co-integrated over the study period and also
suggest low capital mobility of capital across a high capital retention coefficient.
