Introduction
Objet Ce document définit la liste minimale des substances chimiques dangereuses
interdites ou restreintes d’utilisation, réglementairement ou non, pour la
conception et la fabrication de tous les produits du groupe Safran.
Cette exigence s’inscrit dans une démarche de maîtrise des risques :
• sur la santé, la sécurité et l’environnement
• d’obsolescences.
Purpose This document defines the minimum list of hazardous chemical
substances whose usage is prohibited or restricted (by law or otherwise)
in the design and manufacturing of all products of the Safran Group.
This requirement is part of a risk management approach concerning:
• health, safety and the environment
• obsolescence

1. Présentation et définitions

1.1. Présentation Safran s’est fixé comme principe dans sa politique Santé – Sécurité –
générale du Environnement de préserver la santé, la sécurité et de minimiser l’impact de
ses activités sur l’environnement.

Par ailleurs, le renforcement du contexte réglementaire relatif aux substances
chimiques dangereuses (ex : REACh, GHS) impose une meilleure maîtrise de
celles-ci dès la conception des produits ainsi qu’au cours de leur fabrication.

Le présent document constitue une des mesures pratiques destinées à

contribuer à l’application de ces principes. Il est établi à partir d’une veille
réglementaire et d’une analyse de risques de restrictions des substances
chimiques dangereuses. Il sera diffusé et mis à jour par le groupe Safran dès
disponibilité de nouvelles informations.

1.2. Présentation Un statut « Banned » (Interdit réglementairement) ou « Targeted »

de la liste des
(Interdictions visées par le groupe Safran) est attribué à chaque substance.
Ce statut est indiqué dans la liste « BText » faisant partie intégrante du
substances présent document.

1.3. Présentation Substance possédant un Classement Banned (B)

des statuts des Substances à bannir car interdites de production, de mise sur le marché,
d’utilisation par une obligation réglementaire. Cette liste ne possède qu’une
substances : valeur indicative et ne saurait se substituer aux règles et lois en vigueur dans
Banned (B) les pays dans lesquels ce document est applicable. Les substances visées
dans cette liste constituent un minimum requis.

Substance possédant un Classement T1
Substances extrêmement préoccupantes, déjà soumises à restriction d’emploi
et pouvant faire l’objet d’une interdiction réglementaire à court terme. Celles-ci
sont jugées prioritaires pour le groupe Safran.

Substance possédant un Classement T2

Substances déjà soumises à restriction d’emploi ou qui seront soumises dans
les années à venir à interdiction / restriction / d’emploi par obligation
réglementaire.

2. Domaine d’application
Ce document concerne les substances, qu’elles soient utilisées de façon isolée
ou contenues dans des mélanges (solution constituée de deux substances ou
plus) :

• Utilisées pour le développement, la fabrication de pièces, le contrôle, le

montage et/ou le démontage de sous-ensembles

• Contenues dans les produits livrés aux sociétés du groupe Safran.

3. Application du présent document

En cas d’utilisation d’une substance possédant un statut T2, le groupe Safran
exige :

de substances Justification : dès lors qu’une substance est classée T2, son utilisation en
conception/industrialisation de nouveaux produits/procédés est interdite. Si
classées T2 l’utilisation d’une telle substance ne peut être écartée, le fournisseur devra
fournir pour accord à Safran, un dossier justificatif de l’emploi de celle-ci.
Le dossier justificatif devra comprendre :
• L’identité de la ou des substances ;
• Le nom et les coordonnées de la personne ou des personnes qui
introduisent la demande ;
• Une analyse des solutions de remplacement, examinant les risques
qu'elles comportent, ainsi que leur faisabilité technique et
économique.

Traçabilité : dès lors que l’utilisation d’une substance classée T2 a été

autorisée par Safran, chaque référence unitaire livrée devra comporter à
minima :
• Le nom de la substance ainsi que ses identificateurs (n°CAS) ;
• La localisation de la substance ;
• La quantité de la substance présente sur la pièce finale ainsi que
son pourcentage massique ;
• Les règles à appliquer pour utiliser la pièce en toute sécurité.

4. Liste BText.

4.1. Liste BText. La liste BText. Se trouve en annexe de ce document.

Les données disponibles sur les substances chimiques étant évolutives, la
liste ainsi que le statut des substances répertoriées seront modifiés au fur et
à mesure.

4.2. Lexique Classement

Correspond au classement de la substance visée. Une substance
ne peut avoir qu'un seul classement : elle peut être soit B, soit T1,
BT
soit T2.
Liste officielle des substances soumises réglementairement à
autorisation dans le règlement REACh N° 1907/2006. Cette liste est
Annexe XIV
et sera en croissance constante : des substances seront
progressivement ajoutées à l’Annexe XIV.

Autrement appelée Liste candidate des substances soumises à

autorisation ou encore Liste des substances extrêmement
préoccupantes (SVHC), cette liste officielle englobe l’Annexe XIV
et rassemble les substances qui pourront à terme intégrer cette
Liste
même Annexe. La liste candidate impose réglementairement

l’obligation de traçabilité et de communication de ses substances
lorsqu’elles sont contenues dans les articles. Cette liste est et
sera en croissance constante : des substances seront

La Priority Declarable Substances List (PDSL) est un standard

aéronautique international (européen) constitué d’une centaine de
PDSL substances pouvant être retrouvées dans les articles. Cette liste a
pour but d’anticiper les exigences réglementaires relatives à
l’Annexe XIV et à la Liste candidate.

Liste RoHS RoHS N° 2002/95/CE (Restriction of Hasardous Substances in
electrical and electronic equipment)

Liste issue des travaux de l'AFSSET (Agence Française de Sécurité

Sanitaire, de l'Environnement et du Travail) recensant les CMR
Liste AFSSET
(Cancérigènes, Mutagènes, Reprotoxiques) utilisés en France et
pouvant possiblement être introduites dans la liste candidate

La liste SIN (Substitute It Now) est issue d'un projet mené par
Liste SIN différentes ONG afin d'identifier les substances prioritaires à
substituer.

1. Presentation and definitions

1.1. General Safran has enshrined in its Health – Safety – Environment policy the
document principle of preserving health, safety and minimizing the impact of its
activities on the environment.

Furthermore, the reinforcement of the regulatory context relating to
hazardous chemical substances (e.g., REACH, GHS) means that the
control of these aspects needs to be tightened increasingly, from the
product design phase right the way through the manufacturing process.

The present document constitutes one of the practical measures aimed at

contributing to the application of these principles. It has been drafted on
the basis of a regulatory watch and an analysis of the risks of restrictions
pertaining to hazardous chemical substances. It will be distributed and
updated by the Safran Group whenever any new information becomes
available.

1.2. Presentation A "Banned" (prohibited by law) or "Targeted" (prohibitions targeted by the

2. Scope of application

This document concerns substances, whether used in isolation or contained in

compounds/mixtures (solution consisting of two or more substances), that are:
• Used for the development and/or manufacturing of parts, and the
inspection, assembly and/or disassembly of subassemblies
• Contained in the products delivered to the companies of the Safran
Group

3. Application of the present document

3.1. Requirements The requirements of the Safran Group are summarized in the following

3.2. Requirements In the event of use of a substance with T2 status, the Safran Group requires the

supplier shall seek Safran consent and provide the latter, to this end,

authorized by Safran, each delivered unitary reference shall feature
as a minimum requirement:

The name of the substance and its identifiers (CAS No.)

The location of the substance
The quantity of the substance present in the final part along with
its percentage by weight
The rules to be applied for safe usage of the part

4. BText. List

4.1. BText. List The BText. list can be found in the appendix to this document.
Since the available data relating to chemical substances is subject to
modification, the list along with the status of the substances included in it may
be modified progressively.

4.2. Glossary BT Corresponds to the classification of the targeted substance. A

classification substance can only have one classification: it may be either B,
T1 or T2.
Official list of substances subject by law to authorization
Annex XIV according to REACH regulation No. 1907/2006.This list is
continually growing and shall continue to do so, with substances
being progressively added to Annex XIV.
Otherwise designated "Candidate list of substances subject to
authorization" or "List of Substances of Very High Concern"
(SVHC), this official list incorporates Annex XIV and comprises
substances that may ultimately be added to this same Annex.
Candidate list The candidate list imposes by law the obligation of the
traceability and communication of the substances on it when
they are contained in articles. This list is continually growing
and shall continue to do so, with substances being
progressively added to the Candidate List.
The Priority Declarable Substances List (PDSL) is an
international (European) aeronautical standard consisting of
PDSL around one hundred substances that may be found in articles.
The purpose of this list is to anticipate the regulatory
requirements relating to Annex XIV and the Candidate list.

List deriving from the work of the AFSSET (French Agency for
Environment and Occupational Health and Safety) and itemizing

in France and which may possibly be included on the candidate
list.
The SIN (Substitute It Now) list derives from a project carried

substances for substitution.
