Égalité : as fast as mine ;
Superlatif supèriorité : the + -est pour 1 syllable et the most pour 2 syllable

Superlatif infériorité : il faut ajouter least ; this is the least interesting book ;
Au tant plus que : All the better as/since/because

22 – Cohérence verbe et élément de phrase
Temps composes : phrase present perfect ou past perfect have toujours suivi du participle passé
I have seen her; they had bought some flowers;
Passif : On le construit avec le verbe be;
I was helped; the car has been repaired;
Modalité : can, could, may, might, will, would, shall, should, must, needn’t, daren’t … est suivi d’un
verbe à l’infinitif sans “to”

Singulier et pluriel : sujet au singulier + verbe au singulier
Une entreprise ou un groupe est tjrs au singulier

Ago (il y a ) : s’emploi avec le passé simple

For (durée): Il est souvent utilisé avec when
I have been working for few hours; I worked for ten hours;
I had been working in google for two years when I resigned
Since (depuis) : Since + date
I have been working in Paris since 1999;
It is ten years since I last met jane;
Exemple : it has been a great success; we had been looking for the missing document;
We have decided to leave; it is ten years since I last drove for five years;

27 – Verbes suivi de to + infinitif et verbes suivi de -ing
Verbes suivis de to + infinitive : agree, ask, attempt, cease, choose, claim, decid, demand, fail, forget,
guarantee, help, hesitate, hope, intend, learn, manage, neglect, offer, plan, prepare, promise,
propose, refuse, seem, tend, want, wish
Verbes suivis de –ING : appreciate, avoid, carry on, consider, delays, deny, enjoy, feel like, finish, give
up, involve, keep on, look forward to, mind, miss, postpone, prevent, risk, stand
I stopped smoking / je me suis arrêter de fumer
I stopped to smoke / je me suis arrêter pour fumer

Traduction de se faire + infinitif : on utlise get + participle passé
