Organisation fonctionnelle : hiérarchie dans laquelle chaque employé a un supérieur clairement identifié. Les
membres du personnel sont regroupés au niveau supérieur par spécialité (production, marketing, etc.). L'ingénierie
peut être ensuite divisée en organisations fonctionnelles qui soutiennent les activités de l’organisation dans son
ensemble, comme l’ingénierie mécanique ou électrique.
Les organisations fonctionnelles réalisent elles aussi des projets, mais le contenu de ces projets reste dans les limites
de la fonction.

Organisation par projets : les membres de l’équipe sont souvent regroupés physiquement. La
majorité des ressources de l’organisation est impliquée dans du travail de projet et les chefs de
projet disposent d’une indépendance et d’une autorité importante.

Les organisations matricielles sont des mélanges de structures fonctionnelle et par projets. Les
matrices faibles conservent de nombreuses caractéristiques des organisations fonctionnelles, et le
rôle du chef de projet est plutôt celui d’un coordinateur ou d'un facilitateur que celui d’un manager.

Les organisations matricielles sont des mélanges de structures fonctionnelle et par projets.
Les matrices fortes conservent de nombreuses caractéristiques des organisations par projets et peuvent
comporter des chefs de projet à plein temps, disposant d’une autorité importante et d'un personnel
administratif de projet à plein temps.

Les organisations matricielles sont des mélanges de structures fonctionnelle et par projets.. Alors
que l'organisation matricielle équilibrée reconnaît la nécessité d'un chef de projet, elle ne laisse pas
à celui-ci une autorité totale sur le projet et son financement.

Project Expediter
The Project Expediter monitors and reports on the status of the project to senior
management. This role has no authority.
The Project Expediter acts as a communication coordinator only and cannot enforce
any decisions.
Project Coordinator
The Project Coordinator role is similar to expediter, but has some limited,
referential authority. The project coordinator may report to someone higher on the
management food chain than the expediter. The Project Coordinator has some
authority to make decisions

Limites du projet
Database of all the information and records of the previous executed projects and these
information are stored in a central repository called Organizational Process Assets.
Organizational Process Assets may include but not limited to all the documents, templates,
policies, procedures, plans, guidelines, lessons learned, historical data and information,
earned value, estimating, risk , etc.
