SUMMARY
Introduction. – The National Cancer Institute (INCa) recommends including a prognostic score in
the reports of pelvic MRI performed for characterization of an adnexal mass to guide therapeutic
management and to reduce the morbidity and mortality linked to surgical treatments. The O-
RADS MRI classification has been validated by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and
proposes to classify adnexal masses according to their potential for risk of malignancy based on
morphological characteristics and perfusion curves in MRI.

Conclusion. – The classification of adnexal masses according to the O-RADS MRI score makes it possible to strengthen
collaboration between radiologists and gynecologists by homogenizing the imaging reports and to guide therapeutic manage-
ment in order to reduce the risk of morbidity and preserve fertility, for lesions with a low risk of malignancy.
